This woman still has her uses, Mathew Bade thought.

"Fiona, thank you." The young and handso knight suddenly softened his tone, his face full of deep affection.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" The lady seed a bit puzzled.

"Thank you for being willing to follow an outlaw like and for being willing to give so much. I really don’t know how to repay you. You are like the stars in the sky, the lighthouse in the Great Sea, bringing a glimr of light to the darkness of my life, you are simply my sun." Mathew Bade suddenly took the lady’s hand and said affectionately.

"You, you, you! Why are you suddenly saying such strange things?" Fiona was blushing at Mathew Bade’s words, her originally domineering deanor gone. She retreated in panic until she had nowhere left to retreat to and leaned against the castle wall: "Don’t co any closer!"

"I didn’t an it that way, my dear Fiona." Mathew Bade chuckled inwardly, rembering how his godfather Akhan, who was a famous romantic in his lifeti, taught him so techniques for winning a girl’s heart, making it way too easy to deal with a girl like Fiona who was just budding in love: "To escape, we might need a strategy. Fiona, did you see those two guards at the gate of the tower?"

"Yes." Fiona nodded.

"You go command them, divert them away. I’ll go out first, and then we’ll et up outside at the Peacock Bar!" Mathew Bade whispered.

"Alright... okay."

A few minutes later, Fiona approached the two guards for help, saying her companion was missing and asking them to help find him, successfully diverting the two guards. Mathew Bade took the opportunity to slip into a corner, flipped through the tower’s window, made a dolphin leap straight out of the window, and landed into the castle moat.

"Splash~"

Just as Mathew Bade fell into the water, Elspeth imdiately sensed soone exiting the castle. She tightly gripped her gigantic scythe, a purple array flashed past, and the Death Wind turned into strands of purple-red threads pointing straight in the direction Mathew Bade was escaping: "Soone has escaped the castle, I’ve marked him!"

"Good! Knights, follow !" Duke Bodric, fully equipped, raised his Sea God Trident high: "Forward, for Boldro!"

"For Boldro!" The bearings spun, and a large group of knights rode their warhorses rushing out of the castle.

Mathew Bade had just climbed out of the cold river water when the Sea God’s horn sounded inside the castle, and a large group of knights, led by Holy Grail Knight Fedmond, charged out of the castle directly towards where Mathew Bade was.

"The enemy is at the moat!"

"Slay them! Slay them! Slay them!"

"Manannan above!"

Oh no, I’ve been discovered!

Mathew Bade, soaked all over, instinctively wanted to draw his sword to face them, but with a slight recognition, this Duke of Musillon imdiately realized that the pursuers were certainly not adversaries he could contend with alone because besides over a hundred Sea God Knights, Duke Lorne of Connet, Duke Bodric of Boldro, and Count Glamorgan Lane were all present!

There is absolutely no way I can take on such a formidable group of enemies alone.

The only way is to make a sacrifice.

The Duke of Musillon silently pulled a golden skull from his bosom, ancient and profound spells spilled from his lips.

Darkness descended, black fog enveloped his location, and as the pursuers closed in, three figures clad in full black heavy armor, wearing Dragon Wing Helts, wielding Cavalry Lances and shields, riding on Undead Warhorses appeared.

On their armor and shields, terrible undead magic energy swirled around the Black Chalice emblem, the accursed dark magic perated the bodies of these undead, profaning the once noble souls of old soldiers, yet their forr strength had beco even more powerful.

At first contact, they killed four or five Sea God Knights on the spot.

Duke Lorne of Connet, who followed along with the pursuers, saw these three black figures and imdiately shouted.

"Black Chalice Knights!"
