Chapter 1182: Section 1183: Unsealing the Catastrophe

In the darkness of the void, how could white light spontaneously erge?

There was no doubt about it, considering the direction from which it fell; the object emitting the white light was definitely the dragon scale of Binaqionse!

The loss of Binaqionse’s dragon scale, what did that an?

A flash of fear crossed Angel’s eyes.

His gaze slowly turned to what Greerwu held in its hand, only to see the solid “iceball” lting at a visibly fast pace.

Greerwu also noticed that the ice in its hand was lting. It was startled, and its fiery hand trembled, “Ah no, I forgot it’s made of ice, shopkeeper…”

Angel’s throat moved slightly, but in the end, he could only say helplessly, “It’s not your fault.”

He was well aware that the Icebound Hex would definitely not lt because of ordinary flas, and the reason for all this was the loss of Binaqionse’s dragon scale.

Although Angel said so, Greerwu felt sowhat guilty, watching the ice lt increasingly faster with a flash of hesitation in its big eyes within the fla.

In the end, Greerwu seed to make up its mind. It muttered a few words under its breath, and the flas on its body began to die out at a visible speed.

As the flas went out, Greerwu’s chubby figure began to change as well.

When the light of fire disappeared, clinging to Angel’s back was a dark-skinned little boy who, in appearance, looked exactly like a six or seven-year-old human child, the only difference being the small demonic horns protruding from the little boy’s forehead.

“You’re Greerwu?” Angel looked over with so surprise.

A trace of dark red flashed across Greerwu’s exquisite and dark face as it turned its head and said in a low voice, “This way, it shouldn’t lt anymore, right?”

Angel shook his head, “I told you, it’s not your fault.”

Watching the iceball gradually lt, revealing Toby’s form, Angel let out a deep sigh.

The lting of the iceball ant that the Icebound Hex had failed. And once the Icebound Hex failed, the iceball would naturally lt, an irreversible process.

As the frost around Toby completely lted, a sense of oppression rose from the depths of Angel’s heart. He knew that this oppressive feeling was probably just a psychological illusion, but it served as a good reminder that—

The Calamity Curse hidden within Toby’s body was about to reerge!

Angel looked around, recognizing this place as a crevice in the void. It was much like a crevice between planes, where one walked in a dim space, without any foothold, with chaos above and below.

What would be the effect if the Calamity Curse erupted here?

Thinking back to the last ti in Wind Whisper Valley, Sanders had wanted to return to the Wizards’ Realm with the fragnt of the mayfly, but because of the Calamity Curse, a series of tragic outcos occurred. From his previous conversation with Sanders, Angel learned that Sanders had gone through a terrifying temporal and spatial maze in that spatial passage and had barely escaped.

Sanders had encountered a temporal and spatial maze, so what might they encounter now?

Apprehension arose in Angel’s heart, looking at Popota in front of him; he wanted to warn him of the potential disaster they might encounter. But the words were stifled back in his throat.

If he were to reveal the Pilgrim of Misfortune’s Calamity Curse within Toby, without a doubt, Popota would abandon Toby in the void, an outco that Angel found even more unacceptable.

With Toby’s true form exposed, Greerwu was visibly disheartened, and even though it had transford into a human form, it didn’t stop the ice from continuing to lt.

Angel: “Give Toby to .”

Whoever held Toby in their hands would inevitably suffer the greatest misfortune. Greerwu had already done him a favor, and the only thing Angel could do was to take Toby off its hands.

However, Angel apparently forgot one thing. He was tightly wrapped in chains, and even if Toby was handed over to him, there was nowhere to put him.

Unaware of the Calamity Curse on Toby, Greerwu said to Angel, “It’s alright, shopkeeper, leave it to .”

After a pause, Greerwu leaned in and whispered into Angel’s ear, “If we can escape, let secretly experience the ocean’s rhythm, okay?”

Angel hadn’t expected Greerwu to still be so fixated on the ocean’s rhythm; he thought for a mont and then nodded.

As for whether Toby was with Greerwu or with himself, it really made no difference at the mont. When misfortune struck, it would not discriminate. Moreover, Greerwu was still clinging to his back.

With Angel’s permission, a rare smile appeared on Greerwu’s face. But as its gaze caught sight of Aoluxiya being dragged by the chains on the other side, its expression fell once again.

Now, depending on a monster for escape was a problem in itself, let alone going on an experience journey at the shopkeeper’s store.

Angel looked at Greerwu’s sad expression, wanting to offer so comfort, but considering his own situation, which was even worse than Greerwu’s—at least Greerwu was free, and it was stronger than him.

Angel could only sigh inwardly.

Yet, in this short ti, Angel’s view of Greerwu had slightly changed. The first ti he t Greerwu in the store, he had driven it out because the creature was both noisy and “bearish.” Now, he realized that although bearish kids were annoying, Greerwu’s intentions were straightforward, and even if it was cunning, it lacked the complex thoughts of other demons.

Of course, Greerwu might have saved Toby simply to please him, to get a chance to experience the ocean’s rhythm.

But for Angel, the outco was most important; what motivated Greerwu was another matter entirely.

After the Icebound Hex vanished, Angel’s heart had been racing with unease. It was as if he could sense a multitude of malicious intents spreading from the dark void towards their location.

Angel was well aware that once the Calamity Curse was triggered, all kinds of misfortune would inevitably befall them.

Knowing that disaster would co yet passively waiting for it perturbed Angel deeply.

Popota hadn’t noticed the emotional shift at all. He was single-mindedly rushing towards their destination, which, according to the ssages left by the Master of Depths, was the safest place for them.

“Once we get there, sacrifice Aoluxiya to the Master of Depths, and then we can reignite our clan’s glory with the Prival Fla!” Popota’s thoughts were chaotic, but his purpose was clear. Despite being in a state of frenzy, he was still working towards his predetermined goal.

One could say it was an obsession indelibly branded deep within Popota’s bloodline, never to be erased.

However, halfway to their designated coordinates, Popota felt sothing peculiar.

Popota suddenly halted, looking ahead with a suspicious gaze, “What’s going on? Why do I have this inexplicable sense of danger approaching from ahead?”

Although Popota’s strength had been forcibly elevated, it had nonetheless reached a certain level where his sense of imminent danger was even sharper than Sander’s.

Based on the information left by the Master of Depths, there should have been absolutely no problems with this passage.

So where was this sense of danger coming from?

Just as Popota was puzzled, he noticed a vast area of Space Collapse appearing ahead of them, and this collapse was racing towards their location at a speed visible to the naked eye.

“How is this possible?!” Popota exclaid, shocked, for the Space Collapse was almost of an annihilating level!

Any creature caught within it would be utterly disintegrated, even their soul reduced to nothing but dregs!

Moreover, this Space Collapse was directly in front of the passage!

Popota was startled, panic evident on his face. They were so close to restoring the glory of the Baiyuan Clan, so why was this happening?

As the Space Collapse was about to strike, Popota stood unmoving.

Angel called out loudly, “Popota, what are you doing? Either turn back or change course! Why are you just standing there?!”

Popota’s eyes were filled with confusion, and at this mont, he fell into bewildernt. This was a case where strength did not match one’s state of mind. Had any third-level True Knowledge Wizard or major demon been there, they would have reacted imdiately, instead of being caught helpless in this situation.

Angel ground his teeth and shouted, “Have you forgotten about reigniting the Baiyuan Clan’s fire? And, have you forgotten about your sister, Hua Que? Don’t you want to see her?”

Hua Que? Popota suddenly faltered.

Hearing Angel’s cry, Popota’s gaze slowly cleared from its chaos, “Hua Que… has been gone for a long ti… why do you ntion her?”

Angel: “I’ve t Hua Que, I know where she is!”

“You’re lying to ,” Popota’s gaze was steady, just coldly watching Angel.

As Angel glanced back at the rapidly approaching Space Collapse, he quickly said, “I know on Hua Que’s ninth birthday, you gave her a painting, which she kept in a heart-shaped pendant, and that pendant is on ! I’m bound and can’t show it to you right now, but you should know that what I’m saying is true! So, make a decision quickly. As long as you’re alive, there’s a chance you can see her!”

Angel’s words instantly unlocked the mory Casket in Popota’s mind.

Indeed, he had given his sister a painting on her ninth birthday, and he knew she treasured the painting in her necklace with great care.

As Popota rembered, he could even recall his sister’s crisp laughter and her eyes curved like crescent moons.

How could Angel know these things?

Popota had indeed ntioned to Angel that he had a sister nad Hua Que, but he had never divulged such depths, not these mories… After his sister disappeared, these mories he had buried deep inside, how did Angel know of them?

Could it be that Angel really t Hua Que?

As this thought struck Popota, he clenched his fist tightly.

“I hope you’re not deceiving !” Popota didn’t imdiately seek confirmation from Angel; the most important thing now was to escape the Space Collapse!

As Popota began to contemplate how to flee the present danger, so answers hidden within his chaotic thoughts gradually appeared before him.

The Master of Depths had left him many coordinates, which corresponded to different locations.

If the path they were taking was now blocked by collapsing space, then they should take another!

With this thought, a “Solar Eclipse” symbol appeared in front of Popota. It was the true na seal of the Master of Depths, and with the appearance of this symbol—

A new Spatial Passage opened before him.

At the sa ti, the Space Collapse was a re stone’s throw away!
