Chapter 1197: Section 1198: High Energy Waves

Lord of the Flaless, his profound dark silhouette against the backdrop, opened his cold green pupils and gazed into the sky.

In the eyes of Lord of the Flaless, the only thing he could see was the endlessly erging green patterns in Angel’s eyes, which were like neatly arranged creeds, forming into vines that rushed towards the True Spirit’s dark shadow!

Lord of the Flaless gritted his teeth and leaped to et the attack.

He also wanted to know just what kind of attack thods Angel had!

The green light and the enormous dark shadow, at this mont, entered into their first close encounter!

The wind roared fiercely, and light and shadow fluctuated.

There was no sound of explosions, nor any collapse from the converging energies, but in the instant the dark shadow and the green patterns intersected, Lord of the Flaless’s pupils violently constricted.

His pride, the True Spirit, was rapidly being dissolved by the green patterns!

He had already known that each green pattern could dissolve at least twice the amount of dark shadow, but now he realized that what ca before was nothing but a trifle.

After a new round of unique arrangents, the speed and volu at which these green patterns dissolved the True Spirit of the Demon God was even faster than before!

He now sowhat understood why he had heard a scornful laugh when he initially faced the oncoming attack, because the outco at present was completely within the opponent’s expectation!

Lord of the Flaless, feeling the swift loss of his True Spirit Force, had a decisive flash in his eyes.

Entangled with Angel’s green patterns for less than a second, Lord of the Flaless, like a brave man severing his wrist, clapped his hands together and actively stirred up a high-energy surge.

Spatial ripples were lifted, nearly having no impact on Angel—only causing him to take a few steps back due to the vast reach of the ripples. However, they caused irreparable damage to Lord of the Flaless, not only did he lose a tenth of his True Spirit, but his complexion also turned deathly pale at a visibly rapid pace.

Lord of the Flaless only felt blood surging violently inside his chest. He tried to suppress it forcefully, but that act, in turn, was like pouring oil on fire. The surging blood instantly rebounded from his chest, and a large amount of fresh blood spurted from his mouth.

After spitting out blood, Lord of the Flaless eased his chest tightness, but his body visibly started to wither at a slow pace.

This was flesh sacrificing itself to nd the damage to True Spirit.

And this was just an insignificant avatar of the Demon God, even sacrificing flesh for the True Spirit brought little benefit.

anwhile, Angel, still floating high in the sky, remained as calm as if nothing had happened, creating a stark contrast with Lord of the Flaless’s severe injuries.

Witnessing this scene, both Popota and Greerwu couldn’t believe their eyes.

Dealing with an avatar of the Demon God was not only about facing a formidable enemy with at least half-step Legend strength but also coping with its imasurable depth and countless combat experiences!

Like Popota, who forcibly enhanced his own strength, might seem from a certain perspective to be on the sa level as Lord of the Flaless’s avatar, but when it ca to the actual fight, Popota was still overwheld without any chance to fight back.

This was a gap in vision and at the sa ti, a huge chasm in combat experience that was almost impossible to bridge in a short period.

To Lord of the Flaless, Popota’s various strengths were no different from a toddler wielding a knife: even holding a sharp weapon, it would be of no use if the wielder lacked the ans to utilize it.

Therefore, Popota found it even harder to believe that, in a fight with a Demon God’s avatar, which even summoned the True Spirit, Angel could dominate the battle. Not only did he remain uninjured, but he also made Lord of the Flaless spit blood?

This was an overwhelming superiority in vision, experience, and strength!

It definitely wasn’t sothing the original Angel could achieve.

So who exactly is this “Angel”?

The inner cries and doubts of Popota, also shared by Greerwu and Lord of the Flaless at the mont. However, Greerwu was sowhat more receptive, after all, “the shopkeeper” was mysterious in his eyes before his identity got exposed, capable of breaking through the bottleneck of a Half-Blood Demon, awakening the Pannas Charm Demon—these were not things a “normal person” could achieve. Looking back now, it seed normal for the shopkeeper to have hidden strength, but the extent of this concealnt was so high it was outrageous; even the arrival of the Demon God’s real body couldn’t suppress it.

Lord of the Flaless, however, was very clear that the one truly battling was not the flesh in front of him but that Phantom Shadow!

He had not seen the Phantom Shadow’s face, but the golden hair and strange eyes were not sothing the previous human possessed. What’s more, the Phantom Shadow descended from the farthest reaches of ti and space, initially not even within this human body.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been able, with just one Flaless Hand, to crush the human to near death without even exerting any force.

Facing the current situation, Lord of the Flaless had already begun to consider retreating.

He seed to be at a standoff with Angel, but the dark shadows spreading to the edges were tactfully probing the nature of the “Green Ring,” trying to find a way to break through it.

Yet the Green Ring, though seemingly soft, was extrely tough. Even within a minuscule range, compressing energies failed to leave any mark on the green patterns! If this had been in normal space, an energy collapse or energy storm might have already occurred, but nothing happened when applied to the green patterns, which once again shocked Lord of the Flaless about the green patterns’ might.

This was nothing like what could be achieved at a normal power level.

Even, Lord of the Flaless suspected, the arrival of the Unparalleled Great Demon God probably wouldn’t be able to unravel the mystery of these green patterns.

“Who exactly are you?” This was the second ti Lord of the Flaless posed the question, although he had already heard the cries of Popota and the young Fire Relics Demon, calling this human ‘shopkeeper,’ ‘Angel.’ But what he wanted to ask wasn’t about these titles; it was about that shadow which so far had an unclear face.

The response was a cold indifference.

The Lord of the Flaless felt his mood sink; the strong restrain of the Demon God’s True Spirit by the green pattern made victory seem out of reach for the mont.

Nor could the Green Ring make a breakthrough.

At this ti, summoning the True Spirit of the Demon God back from the Abyssal Depth where it lay hidden seed like the best choice.

However, the Lord of the Flaless was sowhat reluctant; once he recalled the True Spirit, it would an the complete abandonnt of his avatar. He had many avatars, but only a few could reach the threshold of a Half-step Legend, and abandoning an avatar also ant forsaking Aoluxiyas Soul and the Fire Relics as well.

Aoluxiya wished to go to the Land of Divine Birth to find the direction for his own path. The Lord of the Flaless also wanted to go to the Land of Divine Birth, to find the key to the Unparalleled Great Demon God.

This was also why he sent an avatar along with Galal.

Continuing to fight could lead to irreparable damage to the True Spirit of the Demon God, while withdrawing would an giving up on the “future.”

The Lord of the Flaless weighed his options repeatedly.

Perhaps like Aoluxiya, he would disregard everything for the so-called future, even going so far as to go against his own “father” and turn his weapon upon him.

But the Lord of the Flaless had already reached the pinnacle; compared to a vague and elusive future, he thought it was better to choose restraint.

The Lord of the Flaless had made up his mind; however, as he was about to act on his decision, he suddenly paused, as sothing in the corner of his eye caught his attention—a detail on Angel’s body.

Cracks had appeared on his arm, and bits of blood were seeping out from them.

A dim light flickered in the eyes of the Lord of the Flaless. During their earlier encounter, he had not injured the other party, so what was this sudden bursting wound all about?

An answer erged from the depths of his heart: Even with the advent of the Phantom Shadow, the flesh was too weak.

With this thought, the Lord of the Flaless recalled his previous actions, utilizing the energy storm to minimize losses when he knew defeat was imminent.

In his mind, the energy storm was rely a ans to escape, but on reflection, could it have caused unexpected harm?

Maybe his techniques were powerful, but a weak body was the limitation!

Realizing this, the Lord of the Flaless began to reassess the pros and cons, weighing whether to stay or go. As the ripples of the energy storm subsided, the Lord of the Flaless had made his choice.

Brilliant light and endless flas rose behind the Lord of the Flaless.

With the arrival of the Law Domain, shadows and flas rged in a rhythm like the symphony of world’s end, charging towards Angel with an unstoppable montum!

In Angel’s eyes, new green patterns sprang forth!

In the interplay of light and shadow, the shadows and green patterns nullified each other at an incredibly fast pace, and the flas were also blocked by the green patterns; however, these were just superficial attacks from the Lord of the Flaless.

What he truly aid for was—

When there was no protection from the green patterns, it was Angel’s frail body that was his target!

Despite the rapid loss of the True Spirit’s force, the Lord of the Flaless waited for his chance.

And in a mont, he saw an opening, his eyes lit up, and the pre-prepared torrent of energy poured out from the palm of his hand!

Compared to the slow ripples of the energy storm, the Lord of the Flaless chose the most basic form of energy application—the energy torrent. Although basic, the energy torrent had a wider coverage and its impact speed could exceed the limits of the rules!

The mont the energy torrent appeared, the Lord of the Flaless saw a flicker of dimness in Angel’s eyes.

The torrent was incredibly fast, and as Angel’s eyes flickered, it was already surging in front of him.

Angel extended his hand, and with a flash of green light, the energy torrent was briefly stalled.

The Lord of the Flaless was taken aback, only to realize that there were already so green patterns on Angel’s right hand, which could defend only for a mont. Although it was brief, it gave ti for the eyes to summon new green patterns and keep the energy torrent at bay.

However, despite blocking the energy torrent, Angel’s body still suffered the physical impact that ca with it.

A bursting sound rang out from Angel’s hand, flesh was torn, and the wound was deep enough to reveal bone!

The Lord of the Flaless knew he had found the right thod.

As Angel’s blood splattered, the Lord of the Flaless casually cast a Demon God’s Murmuring curse on the blood, attempting to directly harm Angel’s body.

However, as the Lord of the Flaless expected, the Demon God’s Murmuring was blocked by a green pattern.

But the Lord of the Flaless only ant to harass; the real attack was yet to co.
