Chapter 1244: Section 1245 Red Plague Demon God

After returning to the Southern Domain, Angel’s mindset had clearly beco much more relaxed. Away from the shadow of the Abyss, the darkness that had been oppressing his heart gradually vanished.

It wasn’t just Angel; even Sanders felt a sense of relief, and he could finally inquire about things that were previously difficult to ntion.

“What was that black feather you took out earlier?” Sanders asked, voicing the doubt that had been buried in his heart. As he posed the question, Kanter also looked over with curiosity.

Angel took the black feather out of his bracelet and placed it on the table.

Neither Sanders nor Kanter reached out to play with it, rely observing with their eyes and spiritual power tentacles. However, after a while, they did not find anything unusual. Sanders did recognize the essence of the black feather, “Is this, a crow’s feather? Is there sothing special about it?”

Angel: “It is a feather of Kulangduo, that demon seed to recognize it.”

“Kulangduo?” Sanders and Kanter exchanged looks, and a title imdiately surfaced in their minds: Harbinger of Death.

Kulangduo’s na was well-known among the indigenous people of the Abyss and half-blood demons. It was said that those who saw him were people who would soon die, and that’s why he was known as the “Harbinger of Death.”

However, Kulangduo was mostly ntioned in written stories by the indigenous people, and no one had truly seen him. Or rather, those who had seen him were already dead.

So, both Sanders and Kanter had almost considered Kulangduo to be a legendary figure.

But now, Angel casually ntioned that it was Kulangduo’s feather, which surprised them both.

“Is this really the feather of that Harbinger of Death?” “Have you seen Kulangduo?”

Sanders and Kanter almost simultaneously asked.

Angel shook his head: “I’m not certain, because soone else told this, I haven’t really seen Kulangduo.”

Soone else? Who could that be?

Sanders and Kanter didn’t continue to ask, clearly waiting for Angel’s explanation.

However, Angel didn’t continue on that subject; instead, he curiously asked, “Earlier, ntor and Lord Kanter seed disturbed by the expression of that female demon, why was that?”

ntioning that female demon, Sanders and Kanter’s expressions revealed a hint of unease once more.

After a long pause, Sanders finally said, “We cannot define the identity of that demon, but the pattern on her forehead is a mark of a great being.”

Angel recalled the appearance of that female demon. He indeed rembered that there seed to be a strange pattern on her forehead, which looked full of mysterious beauty.

At that ti, Angel had thought it was rely a decorative pattern, but now it seed that it was a mark.

And to be referred to by Sanders as… a great being?

An understanding flashed in Angel’s eyes: “Demon God?”

Sanders nodded and softly uttered the na of this Demon God. As he spoke the na, his eyes involuntarily betrayed a flicker of fear.

“Red Plague.”

Upon hearing this na, Angel was stunned for a good while before he collected himself.

He now finally understood why Sanders and Kanter had been so wary of that female demon.

Red Plague Demon God, this was a Demon God who spread plagues and carnage!

If all Demon Gods were to be classified under the ‘evil’ faction, most other Demon Gods, including the Lord of the Flaless, the Cruel Scholar, the Abyssal Eye, and so forth, could be categorized as ‘lawful evil’; but the Red Plague Demon God would surely be classified as ‘chaotic evil’!

Although She had never descended upon the Southern Domain, Her destructive power was comparable to an actual descent.

Other Demon Gods had believers in the Wizards’ Realm or other Pan-Dinsional Planes, but the harm caused by Their followers was far less than that of the Red Plague Demon God.

In the Wizards’ Realm, almost every day, outbreaks caused by the followers of the Red Plague Demon God resulted in disasters of various magnitudes. Especially since Her domains include plagues and blood diseases, any outbreak would not only damage wizards but also lead to the deaths of a vast number of ordinary people due to the spread of epidemics.

Accumulated over thousands of years, the number of people killed by the followers of the Red Plague had beco terrifyingly large. Thus, even though She had never descended, Her impact was comparable to an actual coming!

According to what Angel learned, there was a mass occurrence of blood fusion incidents in so tribes of the Pamiji Plateau a while ago, and as an expert in blood research, Flora was dispatched to resolve the matter. It was later discovered that this kind of blood fusion incident, which could even affect wizards, originated from a “blood fusion virus.” Even though the virus had been identified, Flora has yet to resolve the blood fusion incidents. Before going to the Abyss, Angel had heard a rumor that this blood fusion virus might have co from the followers of the Red Plague.

Putting aside whether the blood fusion virus ca from the Red Plague or not, these incidents alone show how fearso the reputation of the Red Plague is in the Wizards’ Realm, even more dreaded than many of the Unparalleled Great Demon Gods.

At least, Unparalleled Great Demon Gods like “Crown Clown” have never descended upon the Southern Domain, and even if they had caused so deaths, the frequency was far less than that of the Red Plague.

Angel now finally understood why Sanders and Kanter had shown that expression when they encountered that female demon before in the Abyss. There had been too many Red Plague followers causing trouble in the Wizards’ Realm, and they all bore these patterns.

“If you see these patterns in the future, try to avoid contact with them, regardless of whether they are humans or demons,” Kanter also said solemnly, “That group of Red Plague followers are all madn. They have obtained many terrifying plagues from the Red Plague Demon God, even True Knowledge Wizards have fallen at their hands.”

Angel nodded in fear. He had read many cases from the books; many of the Red Plague’s diseases were initially unnoticed, gradually spreading to other beings before explosively transmitting.

If Angel himself were infected, that would have been one thing, but if it led to the infection of those he loved around him, that was sothing he could not accept.

For now, this matter regarding the Red Plague was put to rest.

The topic shifted back to Heiyu, and without much thought, Angel simply recounted the situation at the ti.

“At that ti, we had fallen into a place called the Continent of Yuantan, searching for a way out as we explored. During the exploration, we discovered that this nearly dead continent was in fact what is known as… the Ancient Cold Ruins.”

Sanders and Kanter both knew about the Ancient Cold Ruins, but they had not expected that the Ancient Cold Ruins were not on the surface layer of the Abyss, but in a place called “the Continent of Yuantan”?

“Later, while exploring, I ca across a withered tree with Heiyu on it, this one.” Angel picked up the feather on the table: “At the ti, a person… who could be considered an ancient indigenous person, told that this was left for by Kulangduo.”

“Is that the whole story?” Kanter asked doubtfully, “What is his identity, why did he give it to you, how did you end up on the Continent of Yuantan, what happened there?”

A coughing sound interrupted Kanter’s questions.

Turning his head to look, Kanter saw Sanders, expressionless, saying to him, “We’re now preparing to head back to Barbarian Cave. Do you plan to co along for a visit to Illusion Demon Island?”

Kanter was taken aback. Sanders’ intentions were clear—he was trying to send soone away, at a crucial point no less!

Kanter looked at Angel and then at Sanders. Hesitating for a mont, he nodded to Sanders: “Sure, it’s been a while since I last visited Illusion Demon Island.”

Kanter still left the ship, or rather, was forcefully sent off the ship by Sanders.

“Is this really okay?” Angel, looking back at the solitary silhouette in the sky, which was Kanter being sent away by Sanders.

The reason he had been so brief before was because Sanders had secretly communication, instructing him to avoid any ntion of matters relating to the Demon God. This led to his story being incomplete.

“That guy did it on purpose,” Sanders said irritably, “When I agreed to bring him back to the Southern Domain, we had an agreent that he could not ask about your matters, especially the period when you disappeared. It’s for your own good, and his too. Since he’s so curious, he had to be asked to leave.”

Angel’s face showed understanding.

True. Even if the relationship between the House of Lilith and Illusion Demon Island was good, there were still boundaries. Many sensitive issues still needed to be avoided.

On the other hand, Kanter, having been sent off the ship, first put on a nearly tearful expression, a deep sigh carrying on the wind.

However, as the distant gondola moved further away, disappearing from sight, Kanter imdiately dropped his mournful expression, instantly changing to a smile: “No visit, no problem. Rivetta is said to be returning to the Forest of Night Whisper soon, and when the new edition of ‘Glowing City Night Talk’ is out, with Angel becoming the focal point, it will be perfect to take back and show to Qi Li.”

Kanter wasn’t really trying to play matchmaker; he was simply indulging in so banter in front of Angel—that had been entertaining enough. Qi Li was soone he had personally nurtured, and naturally, he was biased towards her choices. As for taking ‘Glowing City Night Talk’ to show Qi Li, he also wanted to encourage her. He was well aware of Qi Li’s competitive nature, especially in the face of Angel, who was younger but more talented than he was.

With a smile, Kanter departed. Angel on the gondola did not see the swift change in Kanter’s expression, but did feel a twinge of guilt.

Now that Kanter had left, Angel was ready to reveal the entire story of “Heiyu.”

However, Sanders shook his head at this mont: “Not so fast.”

Though they had left the Abyss and seed much safer, the Crown Star Church had a plethora of mysterious thods capable of surveilling the entire Southern Domain. It was possible that their conversation was being observed by people of the Crown Star Church. Especially now, with the recent event of pan-dinsional fusion on the Pamiji Plateau, the location had beco the focus of wizards throughout the Southern Domain.

It would be best to wait until they were in a safe place before continuing.

Moreover, Sanders vaguely sensed that whatever Angel was about to reveal would likely be a montous event!
