Chapter 1389: Section 1390 Descent
Kimberly naturally hoped to borrow the Alchemy Weapon that eliminates the undead; however, exchanging Alchemy Technique was also one of her purposes.
The alchemy heritage Kimberly had received was actually a thousand-year-old Alchemy Technique. Not everything older is better, techniques like Alchemy are certainly more representative of the current generation the more cutting-edge they are.
In Kimberly’s mind, Angel was a talented Alchemist, but perhaps due to his age, his Alchemy Technique might not be that strong. However, from his previous work on repairing Natasha’s chanical half, it was evident he must have encountered cutting-edge chanical Alchemy. Such an exchange would also allow her to quickly grasp so of the current situations in chanical Alchemy.
However, Kimberly had never considered that Angel’s opportunities to work with cutting-edge chanical Alchemy were also limited; the reason he was able to repair Natasha so quickly was purely due to his solid foundation in Alchemy.
“Should I exchange alchemy knowledge with Kimberly?” Angel certainly wished to do so in his heart, for Alchemy Technique only progresses through exchange.
Nevertheless, he had co with his ntor, and his strength and standing were far from Kimberly’s; only Sanders could speak to her as an equal.
Angel turned to look at Sanders, wanting to ask for his opinion.
But as he did so, he discovered that Sanders had sohow already settled comfortably on the sofa, apparently dozing off.
Angel was stunned for a mont, then subconsciously sensed the power of the Gate of Dreams, and sure enough, not long ago, Sanders had used Nightmare Illusion to enter into Originheart City.
Seeing Sanders’s attitude, it was clear he was taking a hands-off approach.
With this in mind, Angel nodded to Kimberly, “Alright then.”
They didn’t pick a ti and place, but began the exchange of alchemy right in the hall, only slightly away from the central sofa, so as not to disturb Sanders.
The one who seed happiest about their alchemy exchange was probably Natasha.
Because neither Angel nor Lady Kimberly asked her to step aside, as a half-chanical being who often perford replacents and repairs on her chanical organs, the content of Angel’s exchange with Lady Kimberly was about chanical Alchemy, and they even used Natasha as an example, which made her gain even more.
However, as the exchange continued, the confusion in Natasha’s eyes grew deeper.
She noticed that at first, it seed like Lady Kimberly was expounding her views, but later, Angel completely took control of the discourse. His every word not only inspired Natasha greatly, but also made Lady Kimberly appear enlightened.
Natasha could clearly see that Lady Kimberly was no longer expounding her Alchemy philosophy and was constantly asking Angel for his Alchemy views. It was like a classroom in a college, with Angel as the responsive teacher and Kimberly as the eager student.
Had the roles inadvertently reversed?
Although Natasha felt sothing strange, learning was obviously more important than these oddities. Setting aside her thoughts, Natasha imrsed herself in Angel’s explanations.
Ti passed, and the clock on the wall had moved through half its circuit.
Angel noticed that Sanders had returned from the Wilderness of Dreams, and he himself was parched from speaking, so he said, “Let’s stop here for today. We can discuss the other views next ti.”
Natasha showed a look of regret, but with her status, she couldn’t say much.
Kimberly also felt a sense of loss. She was just getting to the key problems of chanical Alchemy when Angel decided to stop. Yet, with his mind made up, she could only nod, “That’s fine, we can exchange more next ti.”
After finishing her words, Kimberly subconsciously looked up at the ti.
It had been six hours already?! Kimberly was shocked; she hardly felt the passage of ti at all. In her mind, it seed like only a few minutes had gone by.
Kimberly couldn’t help but recall the content of their previous exchange, and as she did, she once again imrsed herself in the innovative perspectives Angel kept presenting.
By the ti she ca back to her senses, another ten minutes had passed.
Kimberly couldn’t help sighing. She originally thought Angel would be one of those Alchemists who rely on creativity, talent, and luck, and perhaps his real alchemical strength wouldn’t match hers.
She had planned to take advantage of the exchange to properly guide Angel and, in the process of bestowing favor upon him, make her request to borrow the Alchemy Weapon.
But to her surprise, Angel’s Alchemy system was very complete, and the knowledge he possessed was both solid and extensive.
Not only did she not manage to instruct Angel, but it was she who was guided by him.
This left Kimberly feeling both happy and troubled.
Happy because she had gained much Alchemy knowledge and new perspectives; this short exchange of half a day was more fruitful than months of Kimberly’s deep contemplation.
But what troubled her was that now she didn’t know how to approach Angel to borrow the Alchemy Weapon.
She, who had received the favor, should she boldly go and ask to borrow from Angel?
Kimberly could only temporarily suppress the thought, inwardly deciding it would be better to let Isabella make the request. After all, if one were to scrutinize, Isabella was to bla for the great upheaval at Black Castle.
With this thought, Kimberly no longer worried about the matter, instead engaging Angel in a cheerful chat about so daily amusents.
Her attitude towards Sanders and Angel was completely different.
Sanders couldn’t offer her much, but Angel could make her feel the collision of thought sparks, the satisfaction of spirit. Naturally, her fondness for Angel also kept climbing.
Even though Angel wasn’t very strong, Kimberly greatly admired him in the area of alchemy.
Angel didn’t refuse either; effortless chatting could indeed provide a bit of relaxation.
After making small talk for a while, a plainly dressed female slave walked in and said softly, “Honorable Wizard, the al you ordered from the kitchen is ready.”
Kimberly nodded, waved her hand to dismiss the female slave, and then said with a smile, “It’s ti for dinner, shall we continue our talk in the dining room?”
Angel ant to decline, but Kimberly added, “Even though it’s not made by Greya, it has been prepared by an apprentice borrowed from Candy House. I believe you’ll like it.”
Since it was the work of a Gourt Sorcerer, Angel naturally wouldn’t refuse.
The dinner was thoroughly enjoyable; the food made by the Gourt Sorcerer, although not enslaving Angel wholly to his taste buds like Greya’s cooking, still left him singing its praises.
Moreover, after the banquet was over, Angel clearly felt his perception had been slightly enhanced, and his body was temporarily endowed with a holy light attribute, which had a slight deterrent effect on the undead. This was of no particular use to Angel, who possessed Samsara Overture, but it was better than nothing.
After dinner, Kimberly decided to take the initiative to find Isabella and explain the situation here. Before leaving, Kimberly motioned for Natasha to take them to the guest rooms they had been allocated.
They were placed in an underground courtyard-style split-level room with a living room, located in a side corridor of the Soul Realm.
The room had already been tidied up, and Natasha said, “If there’s anything you need in the room, feel free to contact .”
Now that the living room was devoid of anyone but Sanders, Angel turned to Natasha and said, “There’s nothing we need, but do you rember what I said to you earlier?”
Natasha paused for a mont, then nodded: “As long as it doesn’t involve secrets, I can answer.”
There was a nervousness in Natasha’s eyes, afraid that Angel might ask sothing she couldn’t or dared not answer.
“Don’t worry, it shouldn’t count as a secret,” Angel paused for a mont and under Natasha’s attentive gaze, lightly snapped his fingers.
Following the faint sound, the trick of the Yan Illusion manifested from the source of the noise.
Natasha only felt a flash of white light before her eyes, and she instinctively closed her eyes.
As she closed her eyes, Natasha felt sothing touch her hand resting on the hem of her skirt…
A hand? Could it be Angel’s hand? Natasha’s heart suddenly started beating faster.
However, before Natasha could indulge in any romantic fantasies, she noticed that a cold hand had taken hers. It was then Natasha realized how small the hand was, definitely not that of an adult.
With confusion, Natasha opened her eyes and looked beside her instinctively.
The mont she looked down, she was greeted by a smiling face.
It was a little girl under the age of ten in a goose-yellow dress, with golden curly hair and erald eyes, a flat nose, and freckles on her cheeks that made her look both ugly and cute.
At that mont, the little girl was holding Natasha’s hand, her eyes squinted into slits as she smiled.
Natasha looked at the little girl, surprise and confusion in her eyes: “Hua Que, how did you get here? Didn’t Isabella tell you not to run around?”
Natasha’s words made Angel and Sanders exchange looks.
After Hua Que beca a spirit, she lost much of her previous life’s mories, including her own na. When Angel first encountered Hua Que, he had given her a na… Hua Hua.
Before, they had only “roughly inferred,” but Natasha’s words now clearly indicated her connection with Hua Que.
She was the woman from the painting who took Hua Que away!
Yet, the words Natasha blurted out just now were sowhat thought-provoking.
“Didn’t Isabella tell you not to run around” might an: Hua Que’s disappearance wasn’t caused by Natasha alone, but rather, was it at Isabella’s behest? But why would Isabella do such a thing?
And, is Hua Que really in the Black Castle now?
If Hua Que’s whereabouts are tied to the Twilight King Isabella, would that count as a secret?
In an instant, a series of thoughts flashed through Angel’s mind. On the other side, Natasha finally noticed sothing was off with Hua Hua because she was just smiling blankly without responding, which was out of character for Hua Hua.
As Natasha felt befuddled, the illusion of Hua Hua disappeared.
“That was just an illusion,” Angel explained. “But my question is related to this illusion.”
