Chapter 1606: Section 1607 Xiliu’s Dream
The end of the competition ca so swiftly that it exceeded everyone’s imagination. The previously noisy spectator stands suddenly fell silent, and it took a while before a burst of buzz arose.
When Angel turned his head towards the arena, Xiliu had already been carried off.
The victor was undoubtedly Onassis.
But what exactly happened in between?
Although Angel was conversing with Sabo, he was also partially focused on the arena. He clearly saw that after the match began, Onassis didn’t say a word nor made any conspicuous move, yet Xiliu fell to the ground on her own.
The only guess in Angel’s mind… Could it be that Xiliu fell asleep again?
But, hadn’t she taken so dicine?
With doubts, Angel headed to the dical team. When he entered, he found that the treating physician had already left, only Nausicaa and a few others were standing by.
“What’s the situation with Xiliu?” Angel asked.
Nausicaa frowned: “She’s asleep.”
Shan added at this mont: “According to the diagnosis, Xiliu really just fell asleep, there are no other injuries… But we clearly saw Xiliu drinking the potion before going on stage, theoretically, the effect of the drug shouldn’t have worn off so quickly.”
Angel also checked and found that Xiliu was indeed alright, just sleeping.
But as Shan said, Xiliu shouldn’t have fallen asleep so early. There must be so trickery involved.
After thinking for a while, Angel said to everyone, “Let Enter her Dream and see the situation.”
Sitting at the side, holding the Black Classic, Serum also curiously looked at Angel, “When did you even learn the Dream Entering Technique? Cross-Series training?”
Angel nodded: “Sothing like that.”
Serum was full of surprise. They currently spend a lot of ti learning a Second-Level Trick, yet Angel was cross-training series? And not even to an Elental side, but to the Mysterious Side of Dream Series?
The expressions of the others were the sa, all filled with astonishnt. Angel, so as not to undermine their confidence, casually said, “Dream and Illusion actually have similarities at their core, that’s why they are often linked together. As long as one finds the pattern between dreams and illusions, training across series in the Illusion Series for a Transcendent is actually simpler than learning an Elental side trick.”
“Is that so?”
“Of course, I have no reason to lie to you.” Angel firmly asserted.
Although Serum still had so doubts, it seems he could only trust Angel now. If Black Classic were here, with his vast knowledge, perhaps he could have resolved these doubts, but unfortunately… Black Classic has not yet returned.
Thinking of Black Classic, Serum once again sank into his emotions.
Angel then perford a trick that none of the others understood, and subsequently, leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes.
…
Xiliu was pondering in the center of a chaotic world, although she knew that she couldn’t figure anything out… She was aware that she was dreaming, and knew this was a lucid dream.
A so-called lucid dream is a dream in which the drear can widely modify their dream scenarios, even to the point of doing whatever they desire. For instance, a physically weak person in reality can beco a superhero in a lucid dream.
Due to her talent, Xiliu spends much more ti dreaming than in real life. Thus, even though she is not a Dream Sorcerer, she has mastered the skills of lucid dreaming during her long periods of sleep.
In lucid dreams, Xiliu could do many things, the only thing she couldn’t, or rather found difficult to do, was to engage in deep thinking while dreaming.
This is also a characteristic of many people who experience lucid dreams; even though you realize you are dreaming, you cannot mobilize all your ntal power for deep conscious thought unless you are a Dream Sorcerer.
Xiliu was very clear about this, but she actually didn’t have many desires, she also clearly understood that everything bright and shiny in lucid dreams is false, thus her lucid dreams were always chaotic.
She also knew it was hard to engage in deep thinking during dreams, but this did not deter her from willing to ponder.
Her persistent thinking had started long ago. She even harbored a small wish that if one day she could deeply think about problems in her dreams, she would be able to save the questions she encountered on her wizard journey for consideration in her dreams, and she wouldn’t waste any ti even while sleeping.
In this way, no one would worry about her training progress anymore.
Because of this obsession, every ti Xiliu entered her dreams, she would try her best to think about questions.
Now, she pondered one thing: Why did I fall asleep?
She vaguely rembered that she was competing in the arena in reality, how did she suddenly fall asleep? Did she not drink the potion?
As there are limits to contemplating in dreams, Xiliu could only analyze her situation bit by bit before she fell asleep.
She rembered that she was to compete against a very formidable opponent. Even Angel remarked that the opponent should not be underestimated.
She also took this competition seriously, and she should have drunk the potion beforehand… Eh, in the arena, who was her opponent?
Xiliu thought for a long ti but couldn’t rember who her opponent was. This situation was rare, as recalling one’s own mory doesn’t involve deep thinking, normally she wouldn’t have trouble rembering.
But now, she indeed could not rember who her opponent was.
Xiliu could only temporarily set aside trying to directly recall, and instead planned to start by recalling so minor details.
She rembered that her opponent seed to co from a not very large Witcher Organization, which once had a very famous Wizard Apprentice who apparently had defected.
When Xiliu thought about the “Philosopher Scholar” Suyatutai, from his nickna, she imdiately connected it to another person.
“Philosopher” Onassis.
Yes, her opponent was Onassis.
Then, Xiliu began to ponder what happened when she faced Onassis that made her fall asleep. Xiliu thought she would be stuck in a muddled mory again, but to her surprise, she suddenly rembered the situation at that ti.
The details of the match, how Onassis looked… even the rustling sound of the wind, the noise of the audience, and the sound of blood flowing in so people’s bodies.
Xiliu rembered it all; this sensation felt as though she had returned to reality.
Xiliu thought excitedly: Could it be that she truly broke through the barrier and is now able to think deeply in lucid dreams?
Xiliu is soone who habitually considers the worst-case scenario first, and besides her initial excitent, she thought of another possibility: Could it be that she actually returned to reality already? Was she awake now, hence capable of deep thinking?
Thinking this, Xiliu opened her eyes to check her surroundings for confirmation.
As the light entered her eyes, Xiliu was montarily stunned: There’s sunshine?
She always turned her lucid dreams into a chaotic world; it was impossible for sunshine to appear.
So, was she truly awake now?
Xiliu was slightly disappointed, but as disappointnt was familiar, she adapted. Since she woke up, she decided to first check her surroundings. Seeing the sunshine, she guessed she must have left the arena.
Either she was back at Fangling Hall, or perhaps Gankto was carrying her on his back on their way back to Fangling Hall.
Xiliu opened her eyes, intending to greet her friend, but after looking around, she suddenly froze.
Here, was an extensive wilderness.
Sunshine fell, clouds flowed, and the wilderness intertwined light and shadow.
“Where is this?”
