Chapter 1662: Section 1663 dical Room
Hydra listened to lisa’s narration and furrowed his brow slightly: “Suppress inner demons? Let think.”
While Hydra pondered, lisa heard the people around them whispering and discussing.
“Could it be that the secondary personality has seized the physical body, causing the primary personality to fall into slumber?” soone speculated.
“Perhaps that’s really the case.” The crowd whispered among themselves: “We previously thought having dual personalities might benefit a wizard’s path but forgot how difficult it is to control the secondary personality. It’s easy for it to overpower the primary one.”
“I think it’s too early to conclude. No one can be sure of Onassis’s current situation with the primary and secondary personalities. Maybe the current one is the primary personality, and the one asleep is the secondary.”
“No matter whether Onassis’s current personality is primary or secondary, since we are going to have a ceremony soon, we need the personality with reasoning to co forward, not this current mad one.”
lisa was confused, primary and secondary personalities? What do they an? Does Onassis have dual personalities? He ntioned inner demons himself, could the inner demons refer to the secondary personality?
lisa pondered for a mont; if it was about dual personalities, that did make sense. But why was everyone in the court so certain it was dual personalities?
lisa wanted to ask questions, but at that mont, Hydra awoke from his contemplation. Behind him, a faint silhouette of a giant snake appeared, a symbol of the “Serpent of the Tree” faction he followed.
The appearance of the giant snake silhouette indicated that Hydra’s contemplation was actually conducting so form of prophecy.
lisa watched Hydra expectantly, hoping he could provide a solution.
Hydra thought for a mont: “The Serpent of the Tree did not provide an answer, but destiny isn’t everything. I can go with you to take a look.”
lisa’s eyes flickered with joy, and she let out a sigh of relief.
Since Hydra agreed, he followed lisa outside. As Hydra passed by Angel, he suddenly paused because his leftmost head moved slightly.
This was the first ti Hydra’s left head had shown any motion.
Hydra pondered for a mont and opened his middle head’s eyes, looking at Angel: “Transcendental Wizard, why not join us as well?”
Hydra’s sudden invitation caught everyone off guard. They did not understand why Hydra suddenly invited Angel, especially lisa, who looked back and forth between Hydra and Angel with deep confusion.
“Why invite ?” Angel directly asked.
Hydra’s vertical pupils remained calm as he said, “After all, it was the Transcendental Wizard who first introduced the dual personality theory. Perhaps you could also help with Onassis’s situation.”
“The dual personality theory was proposed by Angel?” lisa looked at Angel in surprise. Before they had even discussed the dical room’s situation, Angel had already brought up dual personalities? What was going on?
“I just read so useless leisure books,” Angel said.
Hydra replied, “As long as it’s knowledge, it is never useless. Moreover, I believe perhaps you understand Onassis better than we do.”
Angel was about to say more when lisa suddenly said: “It’s just a visit; it should be fine, right? Actually, anyone here curious about Onassis’s situation can join.”
At this point, Farina said: “It just so happens, I’m also curious about Onassis’s condition.”
lisa saw her speak and her eyes flashed with joy; she had indeed intended to invite Farina, but given Farina’s high status in the Research and Developnt Institute, it wasn’t easy for lisa to summon her directly. As for Hydra, since they had an old acquaintance, lisa first sought him out.
Now that Farina had spoken out about going to take a look, Angel pondered for a mont and then nodded.
Just as lisa said, they were just going to take a look.
Although lisa said that anyone interested could co along, the only ones who actually went to the dical room were Hydra, Falina, and Angel.
Soon, they arrived outside the dical room.
The dical room was closed, and the dical team, including the patient “Phantom Deer” Trom, were all in the corridor.
lisa asked the people guarding outside and then turned around and said, “Just now, we wanted to test Onassis’s stress response, which caused him to have an attack reflex. To avoid injuring others, we temporarily locked him inside the dical room.”
“Currently, his condition has stabilized.”
While lisa was talking, Angel noticed that Trom, the young man with antler hat leaning on the corridor, was staring at him with bright eyes.
Angel rembered what Quini had said before; Trom was actually another poor soul tricked by a ntor.
Thinking of this, Angel nodded at Trom as a gesture of acknowledgnt.
Trom, seemingly flattered by Angel’s response, hesitated and seed to want to approach. However, before he could act, Angel had already turned his head away.
Because, at that mont, lisa had opened the door to the dical room.
The dical team mbers stayed outside, while lisa and her group entered one after another.
Trom, watching the figures disappearing behind the door, sighed with a hint of regret.
As they entered the dical room, the first thing they heard was a burst of eerie laughter. This laugh wasn’t unfamiliar; it was the sa spine-chilling laugh Onassis had emitted during the last monts of the finals.
After the laughter, he began repeatedly muttering “darkness and light”.
On the way to the dical room, lisa had learned from Falina that Angel had deduced Onassis might have dual personalities because of this phrase.
A phrase originating from the autobiographical novel “The Long Day and Night”.
Listening to Onassis’s murmuring, lisa couldn’t help but glance at Angel—
Angel was able to notice the fine details and quickly understood the underlying anings of words. Perhaps, as Hydra had suggested, he understood Onassis better than anyone else.
Although the cramped room was crowded with several people, Onassis did not pay attention to them, continuing to stand in a dark corner, imrsed in his own world.
His eyes were blood-red and glowing, akin to a frenzied vampire bat in the darkness, creating a sinister and creepy feeling. However, none of the people present were ordinary, and they completely disregarded this eerie atmosphere.
lisa looked at Hydra, who with his cold vertical pupils, was quietly observing Onassis, seemingly studying sothing.
After a long ti, Hydra pondered and said, “His consciousness and self are unified, showing no inappropriateness. This ans, the Transcendental Wizard’s speculation is likely correct.”
Onassis has a dual personality.
Otherwise, it would not be possible for his consciousness and self to be so harmoniously integrated.
“Then, Observer, is there a way to solve this? At least to awaken his dominant personality?” asked lisa.
Aside from the fact that Onassis had already made requests to the Infinite Battle Tower with his position as the champion of the Nova Tournant, the forthcoming coronation ceremony could not be delayed. Therefore, Onassis must be awakened swiftly.
Hydra thought for a mont, “Dual personality is a self-segntation of his own consciousness. It’s difficult for outsiders to find a definitive solution. However, if it’s just about awakening the dormant personality, there are ways.”
