Chapter 1924: Section 1925 The Taste of the Void

As the stargazing event was in full swing, Angel and the others were studying the Knight armor.

In any case, even if Maya wanted to contact them, it would have to wait until after the stargazing event concluded.

Tree Spirit was repeatedly observing every detail of the Knight armor. He was certain that before the relic was sealed, not to ntion the corridors, there was definitely no Knight armor in any of the rooms on this third underground level! This was an extraordinary item that appeared out of thin air.

Where did it co from? How did it appear? These beca questions in everyone’s minds.

According to Tree Spirit’s speculation, there are two possibilities. First, this Knight armor might be from a hidden room. Second, an outsider had entered the relic.

These two are Tree Spirit’s conjectures, but both have obvious flaws.

If there really was a hidden room in the relic, and the Knight armor ca from the hidden room, how did it co out? What was the driving force for it to co out? Did the Knight armor co out on its own, or was there soone manipulating it from the hidden room?

If it was placed here by an outsider, then how did this outsider enter the relic that had already been sealed?

“I am very certain that when I brought Angel over, it was the first ti the relic had been opened after being sealed. Before that, there were no signs of activation in this relic,” said Tree Spirit.

This ans that if soone did enter the relic, it could only have been through sowhere other than the main entrance.

If not the main entrance, then where?

One mystery after another rose in their minds. Angel was also bewildered; this Knight armor, which previously seed ordinary to him, now seed shrouded in a layer of mystery that was difficult to unravel.

There were too many questions, with no way to answer them. Angel wanted to hear the opinions of others, but both Tree Spirit and Sanders were as puzzled as he was, frowning with confusion. However, Lord Rhein seed to have discovered sothing.

From between Rhein’s brows erged a glow, which, after leaving his brow, transford into an eye constructed of light.

Angel found it hard to describe the eye in words because it was both illusory and real, seemingly not existing in this space or even this tiline, yet it manifested reality quite vividly.

This feeling gave Angel a sensation akin to when he crafted the Blood Night Shelter and saw the self-proclaid Cassini, the Thief of Ti.

Its pupil seed to flow with ti, presenting everything it saw in its original form.

Angel was utterly shocked by this eye, not only by its distinct appearance but also by its mysterious and ungraspable aura.

This power was beyond Angel’s comprehension.

He didn’t even know what this eye was, whether it was an organ transplant or so unknown spell technique?

“This is… the Eye of Truth.” It was Sanders who spoke, his tone laced with astonishnt.

The Eye of Truth? Angel felt like he had heard of it sowhere. But before he could rember, Tree Spirit beside him cleared away his confusion: “The Eye of Truth is the ultimate advancent of the True Sight.”

Understanding flashed in Angel’s eyes. He knew the True Sight, a very difficult Third-Level Trick. Its function was to see through appearances and discern the true nature of things.

It was often used for tracking hidden traces and exploring historical truths.

The True Sight is just a Third-Level Trick, so what level has its ultimate advancent, the Eye of Truth, achieved?

“Third-level Spell,” Tree Spirit said blandly.

What does a Third-level Spell an? Many Second-Level Tricks require a year or more of study, and spells are naturally different. Of course, there’s a difference in research capabilities between official wizards and apprentices, but even with differences, it’s impossible to develop a spell overnight.

Researching spells often takes over a decade. Third-level Spells are even more exceptional, requiring long periods to develop unless there’s a special circumstance. If one encounters a particularly difficult spell, the ti expenditure is even greater.

Among Third-level Spells, the Eye of Truth is considered particularly difficult, which is why even Sanders felt the shock.

“Does the Eye of Truth involve the domain of ti?” Angel asked, looking at the eye with seemingly flowing ti.

Angel understood that while the True Sight could explore historical truths, it hadn’t truly entered the domain of ti. It only traced past facts through existing details. So did its ultimate advancent enter the domain of ti?

This ti, it was not Tree Spirit but Rhein, the spellcaster, who answered Angel’s question.

“The Eye of Truth does involve so Power of Ti, but it hasn’t truly entered the domain of ti… entering the domain of ti isn’t that easy.” Rhein looked at Angel. If it were soone else asking, he probably wouldn’t elaborate, but since it was Angel, Rhein didn’t mind saying more: “Even though the Eye of Truth involves so ti-related effects, it’s actually sowhat different from what you might imagine. It’s simply because this Third-level Spell had a very special construction.”

The specifics of what made it special, Rhein did not disclose to Angel, as it was not sothing Angel needed to know at the mont.

After explaining to Angel, Rhein imdiately began discussing the findings from his observation of the Knight armor: “I sowhat agree with Tree Spirit’s two conjectures. However, both conjectures have nurous issues that need to be resolved, and the best way to investigate these questions is to explore the truth directly from the subject itself.”

Whether the Knight armor ca by itself or was brought by soone else, its presence in this relic surely involved so external force, and the traces of that force naturally lie on the Knight armor itself.

Therefore, Rhein wanted to use the Eye of Truth to search for answers within the history of the Knight armor.

“Under the observation of the Eye of Truth, I did find so interesting things.” Rhein retracted the Eye of Truth from mid-air, and when it returned to his brow, his eyes seed to glow faintly.

“The Eye of Truth discovered so traces of cleaning on this Knight armor,” Rhein pointed to the remnants of Magic Patterns on the armor, “These Magic Patterns have been cleaned.”

Angel was aware of this detail too, but what significance did these cleaning traces have?

“The cleaning traces themselves have no significance, but within them, I sensed a slight hint of the Void. From the lingering aftertaste, it can be speculated that it was from around a hundred years ago.”

Of course, the Void has no scent. Rhein just said this for easier explanation.

“You an this Knight armor spent ti in the Void a hundred years ago?” Tree Spirit’s eyes brightened, “A hundred years ago, this relic was still sealed, which ans this Knight armor must be an external item?! Then the first conjecture is incorrect; it was brought into the relic by an outsider!”

Rhein: “Because it’s tainted with the scent of the Void, it is possible this Knight armor was brought in by an outsider. However, your first conjecture might also be correct.”

Sanders seed to understand sothing: “If the Knight armor was brought in by soone, that person must have entered the relic through so unknown, special channel. Since the Knight armor is tainted with the scent of the Void, the person might have entered from the Void?”

“Given that the relic itself is in the Void, thinking this way makes sense. But since you haven’t found another exit in the relic, doesn’t it imply that there is an unknown passageway or room in the relic?”

“And that is the so-called hidden room.”
