Chapter 1981: Chapter 1982: A Pair of Leather Shoes
No need for Sanders to remind him; the mont the channel was opened, the residual emotions began to assail Angel’s senses.
Under normal circumstances, Angel could simply block out these emotions. But now, since he needed to decipher them, he had to keep using his senses to probe these chaotic ssages.
Angel frowned deeply, feeling very uncomfortable due to the turmoil of emotions.
Moreover, what troubled him more was that these emotions seed to lack any substantive aning. Many were re sentints, such as excitent, thrill, timidity, fear… Angel could not decipher their anings from these fragnted and singular emotions.
Even the emotions that could be understood did not convey any coherent or logical aning.
For example, gatherings, dispersals, forming a surface, going up, going down… and so on. From these fragnted pieces of information, Angel couldn’t extract any useful clues. He only knew that most of these emotions should have originated from the Colorful Dragonflies or the Seven-Colored Dragonflies.
Because Angel had once been in close contact with the Seven-Colored Dragonflies; back when he was trapped in the Plane Corridor, they were the ones who helped him out of the Void.
Having experienced that, Angel knew all too well that the Seven-Colored Dragonflies would group the Colorful Dragonflies into formations, such as the shape of an arrow… As for why they did this, according to Angel’s observations, it likely had no special aning and was probably just a form of training or simply for fun.
So, when the emotions he perceived were all such information, Angel felt truly exhausted.
Most importantly, these pieces of information were all broken, perhaps left by Seven-Colored Dragonflies that passed through the channel days or weeks ago. After painstakingly interpreting these fragnted emotions, he ended up with “forming a line”, “forming an arrow”. His feelings were understandable.
But there was nothing he could do about it, as there were no Nightmare Realm creatures in the channel, and all Angel could decipher were the residual emotions.
Fortunately, Angel did not co away completely empty-handed from his deciphering process.
He managed to decode so useful emotions and extract so key information from them: minister, arrival, repair…
These were actually a few keywords from a whole sequence of continuous emotions. Angel guessed that the one expressing these emotions wasn’t a low-intelligence creature like the Seven-Colored Dragonflies, but perhaps a high-intelligence magical creature like the Frog Crooner or the Fox Playmaster.
It appeared to be a coherent emotional expression, but too much ti had passed, making it impossible to fully restore.
Extracting these few keywords had already taken a great deal of effort on Angel’s part.
In fact, there was more information in that continuous emotion, but most of it was indecipherable. The only words he could understand were these—
minister, arrival, repair.
Just seeing the term “minister” gave Angel bad feelings. Anyone referred to as a minister must have formidable strength.
It’s worth rembering that despite the chaos the creatures from the Nightmare Realm caused before, no minister ever appeared.
Angel did encounter sothing associated with a minister before—the Dalmatian from the Sleepless City, which was a minister’s pet. Presumably, the Dalmatian itself was a living version of a mysterious object.
If even the pet was a mysterious object, Angel couldn’t begin to imagine how powerful the minister itself was.
Angel shivered and dared not think too deeply. He decided to set aside this information for now and continue deciphering other emotion fragnts erging.
However, there were no notable clues among the subsequent fragnts.
Just as Angel was engulfed by these chaotic and vague emotions, he captured a notably clearer one.
When Angel deciphered the content of this emotion, he was stunned.
“Shava… Sir.”
In a certain sense, Shava represented both Angel and unknown life forms within the Nightmare Realm. So, when Angel sensed this emotion, he was genuinely shocked.
Could it be that Shava had also co to these ruins?
But then, Angel thought it didn’t seem right. An Otherworld life form of Legendary Level could cause quite a stir by entering the Wizards’ Realm. Could a life form of Shava’s caliber really arrive so smoothly in the Wizards’ Realm?
Additionally, the strangest part was why this emotion was clearer than the others, as if it had just dissipated…
Just now? Angel’s heart skipped a beat as he realized sothing and abruptly opened his eyes.
He was still standing over the Star Pond, but the ruins’ channel had been closed. Across from him, Sanders was frowning, with light mist emanating from his hands, clearly the one who had just closed the channel.
Angel lowered his head, looking at the starlight-rippled water surface. He was already well familiar with it and, after a mont of focused attention, saw the state of the ruins beyond the water.
It was still a deep, uncertain-ended channel, looking no different from before.
“ntor, has sothing happened?” Angel asked, raising his head.
Sanders squinted his eyes slightly and, after glancing deeply at the dark channel beneath the water surface, turned to Angel, saying, “We’ll discuss it shortly. Let’s go to the Observation Pavilion first.”
Once they returned to the Observation Pavilion, Sanders, after pondering for a while, said, “Did you sense anything unusual earlier?”
“The residual emotions that ca forth were chaotic and indistinct. Yet at the last mont, I sensed a very clear emotion, as if it had just dissipated.” Angel said, “It was calling Shava’s na.”
After Angel finished speaking, he asked, “Could it be that so creature from the Nightmare Realm erged just now?”
The reason Angel assud this was because of Sanders’ abnormal behavior and the information that seed as if it were murmured right beside his ear. It was almost as if so creature was calling out to him from the other side.
Sanders was silent for a mont, then nodded: “It should be so creature from the Nightmare Realm, but I didn’t see what it looked like.”
“I only saw a pair of shoes.”
At the end of the channel, where light and dark t, Sanders saw a pair of shoes appear there.
They were a pair of very plain-looking leather shoes.
Above the shoes was just the shadowy area of light and dark interaction, so nothing could be clearly seen.
The mont Sanders saw those shoes, a sense of danger imdiately arose in his heart, and he unhesitatingly shut down the door to the ruins.
Sanders was even ready to flee with Angel.
However, it seed the other party wasn’t prepared to co out. They stood briefly where light and dark t, then slowly retreated into the darkness. At the sa ti, Angel awoke from deciphering the emotions.
Sanders recounted what he had seen: “If there’s no mistake, the emotion you sensed just now likely ca from that Nightmare Realm creature.”
