Chapter 2051: Chapter 2052: Taking a Seat

After Misty Goldlady ca out from the oil painting, she didn’t take a seat. Instead, she held onto the chair closest to the painting with her hand, almost squatting on the ground, her entire figure concealed by the backrest, with only a vague silhouette of black hair visible.

Not only that, from the revealed corner of black hair, it seed Misty Goldlady was sowhat… trembling?

This scene left Angel a bit puzzled, but he didn’t feel it was appropriate to ask what was happening, so he simply said again, “Are you Misty Goldlady?”

No sooner had he spoken than Misty Goldlady let out a shriek and suddenly flew out from behind the chair.

Instinctively, Angel took a defensive stance, but in the next second, Misty Goldlady’s actions left him stunned. For she didn’t attack Angel, but instead darted into the air, flitting back and forth like a headless fly, before finally hiding behind the crystal chandelier, trembling.

Angel: “…”

Angel hadn’t figured out the current situation yet. Clearly, it should be a mont of nervousness for him, so why was Misty Goldlady displaying even more anxiety than he was? Moreover, Misty Goldlady seed not only anxious, but also sowhat fearful and evasive?

Angel felt his mind was full of question marks; had they reversed their roles?

Perhaps seeing Angel’s brows furrowed and face filled with speechlessness, the Crazy One spoke up: “Honorable Shava, please forgive Misty Goldlady’s discourtesy.”

Angel retracted his gaze from the chandelier on the ceiling and looked at the thick-shelled book hovering over the table.

“She didn’t an it, she’s just…” When Crazy One got to this part, there was a pause.

The pause was exactly like the situation outside the castle before; whenever Misty Goldlady was ntioned, the Crazy One seed reluctant to continue.

Angel, too, wasn’t sure what expression to use in this circumstance, so he just maintained his composure and casually picked up the dining knife on the table, fiddling with it for a bit. Then, he softly said, “I thought, given the banquet was prepared, the host should have been fully ready. I didn’t expect…”

The sentence was intentionally left unfinished by Angel, to give Crazy One and Misty Goldlady room for their imaginations.

What Crazy One might have imagined, Angel didn’t know, but its expression changed rapidly until it seed to finally make up its mind, telling Angel, “Misty Goldlady truly didn’t an it, she just… gets shy easily.”

Shy?

Angel’s mind was filled with doubt. He thought he would get an answer involving so hidden matters, not an explanation of “shyness”?

Angel did not believe it at all. To know, in Reeves’ words, Misty Goldlady was a frightening madwoman. This terror, described by Reeves, carried with it cold-bloodedness, cruelty, and a completely different dark value system; precisely because of this, when Angel entered this castle, he remained highly cautious, knowing he was about to face a terrifying lunatic.

Therefore, when Crazy One said Misty Goldlady was shy, Angel didn’t believe it at all.

Moreover, Angel didn’t even know how to respond to that answer; whether nodding or shaking his head, neither seed appropriate. In the end, he could only smile faintly and keep silent.

On the other side, since Crazy One had already revealed Misty Goldlady’s “shyness,” it no longer concealed and continued, saying, “That’s precisely why, even though Misty Goldlady wanted to personally preside over the welco banquet, she was too shy to face Lady Shava directly, so she put on the table instead to welco Lady Shava.”

“But Misty Goldlady truly wants to et and talk with Lady Shava, which is why she hid inside the painting…”

Crazy One’s explanation was very sincere, yet Angel still didn’t believe it inside.

“I see.” Angel showed an enlightened expression. Although he didn’t believe it, it wasn’t good for him to expose it, so he followed Crazy One’s narrative to give a way out.

Angel looked up at Misty Goldlady on the chandelier, “Shyness isn’t a bad thing; it is inherently also a sort of cuteness.”

The Misty Goldlady hiding on the chandelier murmured quietly, “Cute? Really cute?”

No matter what Angel truly thought inside, his expression wore a smiling nod, “Of course.”

After a pause, Angel didn’t continue to extend the topic of shyness, instead, he shifted the conversation, saying, “Speaking of which, I’d also very much like to see you in person and ask so questions. How about coming down for a chat?”

Misty Goldlady, after hesitating for a long ti, timidly floated down from the chandelier.

However, even upon landing on the ground, Misty Goldlady remained very uneasy, choosing to sit at a vacant seat so distance from Angel, and even extinguished the candlestick in front of her, sinking the whole area into darkness with only a vague outline visible. It seed that rely covering her face with cascading hair wasn’t enough; she had to be completely imrsed in darkness to feel safe.

Angel didn’t comnt on it, thinking this was Misty Goldlady’s domain, and if she wanted to play out the entire drama, so be it.

Seeing that Misty Goldlady was seated, Angel cleared his throat, and his thoughts spun rapidly, pondering how to inquire why he was brought to Duling Garden.

But before Angel could ask, Misty Goldlady’s faint voice ca from the darkness, “…Please have a seat first.”

Angel was montarily taken aback, not by the content of the words, but because Misty Goldlady’s voice reminded him of the voice he heard when he first encountered the Sound Transmission Mushroom.

It was almost certain that at that ti, the female voice interacting with Crazy One and persistently wanting to sing “Tearing the Moonlight,” was Misty Goldlady.

He rembered that in the conversation transmitted by the Sound Transmission Mushroom, Misty Goldlady wanted to deliver an ode to the moonlight in a song to express guilt. What was this guilt about?

This wasn’t sothing to pursue now, Angel just had a flash of thought but didn’t dwell on it, refocusing on the content of Misty Goldlady’s words.

Have a seat first?

Who was she asking to sit? Was it Crazy One?

While Angel was speculating, Crazy One suddenly spoke, “If it weren’t for Misty Goldlady’s reminder, I almost forgot, honorable Lady Shava, your seat is right here.”

Crazy One stretched out a finger, pointing to the end of the long table — the main seat.

Angel squinted his eyes, took a glance at Misty Goldlady seated in a guest position, seemingly realizing sothing.

“Does it matter where one sits? Besides, I am rely a guest.” Angel’s implication was that even Misty Goldlady was sitting in a guest position, so how could he, as just an attendee, sit at the main seat?

Crazy One hurriedly shook its head, “That’s not it, though the banquet was prepared by Misty Goldlady, there are many guests coming to the banquet this ti, even Lord Nuka is here, and can’t follow usual seating.”

“According to the ranking of the moonlight favor, Lady Shava should sit at the main seat. Otherwise, when Lord Nuka arrives and sees our impolite arrangent, he will certainly be furious.”

After Crazy One finished speaking, Angel sighed deeply in his heart.

His premonition indeed ca true.

Upon seeing more than one place with food and utensils laid out on the long table, Angel had been suspicious. When Misty Goldlady asked him to sit in the main seat, he imdiately had a premonition: Could it be that the attendees for this banquet were not just him and Misty Goldlady? Sure enough, Crazy One imdiately confird his premonition.
