Chapter 2183: Chapter 2184: Beyond One’s Control

“Mr. Feng?” Angel raised his eyes to Magu: “Is he referring to the Savior?”

Magu nodded.

Angel did not interrupt again, gesturing for Magu to continue.

Angel had already heard a rough outline of Kalomchis’s story from Midir of the Devil’s Fla, but now Magu completely filled in so of the details.

Kalomchis’s experiences in the Tidal World can be summarized with two words: guardianship and waiting.

The so-called guardianship refers to after the Tidal World experienced a world calamity, Kalomchis, as the Savior, stayed behind as a rescuer. Under his guidance, he helped the elental creatures of various regions rebuild civilization and protect the peace of the Tidal World.

It can be said that with his own power, Kalomchis redirected the entire Tidal World back on track from a wrecked state.

This is Kalomchis’s guardianship.

In Magu’s view, Kalomchis is the guardian deity of all the elental creatures of the Tidal World.

But in Angel’s view, Kalomchis was not only guarding the elental creatures.

“Mr. Magu, do you understand humans?” Angel looked across at Magu.

“Although I have not had deep contact, I have heard many things about humans from Kalomchis.” Magu said and then quietly looked at Angel, he knew that Angel must have more to say.

“Then, Mr. Magu, you should know that humans are not only like Mr. Feng the Savior, but there are also many greedy ones. It can even be said that in the Wizards’ Realm, greedy people are the majority.” Angel paused and said softly: “And elental creatures can arouse human greed.”

The mont those words fell, Dangross, standing under Toby’s foot, was stunned, looking blankly at Angel.

While Magu, his expression unchanged: “I know.”

“Since Mr. Magu knows, then you should also understand that Kalomchis’s actions were not only to guard the elental creatures, but were actually also protecting this world.”

If there were no Feng, no Kalomchis, when outside humans entered the Tidal World and saw such a desolate state, they would probably be excited to sweep away the remaining elental creatures. At that ti, the Tidal World would beco a barren dead world, but now, Kalomchis has guided the Tidal World back on track. He has not only protected the elental creatures but also the elental civilization and this world.

Because, now when the door to the Tidal World is opened once more, even if the elental creatures here cannot withstand the invasion by the Wizards’ Realm, the thriving elental creature civilization has constructed a new living ecosystem in the Tidal World. At that ti, even if a powerful wizard arrives and sees such a civilization, they would not want to annihilate it. Not because they couldn’t, but because leaving a world that can steadily provide elental partners offers more benefits than destroying it.

If the elental creatures’ power grows stronger, when wizards enter here, perhaps even the thought of forcibly taking elental creatures as partners might diminish, instead using a more equal, gentle approach to negotiate with the Monarchs of various regions, slowly gaining the elental creatures’ trust to acquire elental partners.

Perhaps, the reason Feng concealed the existence of the Tidal World was to construct such an ecosystem, to prevent a world from withering, and to avoid exhausting it.

And Kalomchis is guiding the Tidal World towards the developnt of such a world.

After all, the Tidal World could not remain hidden forever; since it was rged with the Wizards’ Realm, even if Angel doesn’t find it, soone else would eventually. By then, the Tidal World would inevitably have to face the predatory Wizards’ Realm, and what will the elental creatures do then? Without Kalomchis, perhaps only extinction would be the option, but now there are more choices.

Angel shared these thoughts selectively.

Although Angel didn’t reveal everything, after listening to it, Dangross’s entire hand started trembling. It hadn’t realized humans could be so terrifying.

Magu was also montarily dazed as he recalled the world of wizards that Kalomchis once painted, realizing that what Angel said was undoubtedly true.

“Aren’t you afraid I’ll keep you here after saying this?” Magu’s eyes flashed sharply.

Angel did not respond to Magu’s question, instead softly said: “Ultimately, you will face humans, won’t you?”

Magu sighed helplessly and fell silent.

“Can’t we just not let humans in?” Dangross asked from the side.

“I learned from Kalomchis about the global catastrophe back then.” Magu began slowly: “Though it was a disaster for us, it was actually a salvation for the world. And after that disaster, the door was already opened.”

Once the door is opened, it cannot be closed again, unless this world perishes.

Magu sighed: “Mr. Pat is right, we will face this choice eventually. I will relay what you said to His Highness later, you don’t mind, do you?”

Angel casually nodded, because the Tidal World could not be kept hidden forever; in the future, it was bound to welco other humans, and considering it in advance would be better than facing conflicts head-on later.

After this topic ended, the classroom fell into a mont of silence.

Angel also knew that talking about this might arouse so resentnt, but he still said it. First, he had the ability to protect himself; second, once the elental creatures removed the colored glasses of “the Savior is not equivalent to other humans,” knowing about human nature, they too would consider these things.

Informing them in advance might provoke so hostility, but it could instead earn part of the trust of a sage like Magu.

Indeed, although the air was still filled with silence, Magu’s gaze towards Angel was less alienated than at first.

“These troubling matters, let His Highness consider for himself. Let’s continue… we previously spoke of Kalomchis’s guardianship, now let’s talk about waiting. Speaking of which, this ‘waiting’ is sowhat related to what you ntioned earlier.” Magu broke the silence, just as Angel and Dangross were focusing intently, Magu sent over again:

“Zzzzz…”

Angel and Dangross exchanged a glance and both sighed deeply. However, this unexpected developnt slightly eased the sowhat heavy atmosphere.

Soon, the sleeping Magu was woken up again, and with a yawn, he continued with Kalomchis’s story.

——Waiting.

When Angel first heard the word “waiting,” he thought Kalomchis was waiting for Feng. After all, Feng seed to have irresponsibly left Kalomchis in the Tidal World.

But to Angel’s surprise, Kalomchis was not waiting for Feng, but for an unknown entity.

“Kalomchis once told , the external explanation was that he was sent here by Mr. Feng to quell the post-disaster chaos. But in reality, he stayed voluntarily because at that ti his lifespan was already short, and his strength could not keep up with Mr. Feng. In order not to sadden Mr. Feng and not to beco a burden, Kalomchis chose to stay in the Tidal World.”

“The main purpose of staying, besides quelling the chaos and guarding the elental creatures as ntioned earlier, was a task left to him by Mr. Feng.”

Magu said at this point, slowly, “It is waiting for a later cor.”

“Who is the later cor?” Angel asked puzzled.

Magu shook his head: “I don’t know, Kalomchis doesn’t know either.”

Magu’s answer surprised Angel quite a bit.

“Kalomchis once said that Mr. Feng told him, in the future, a later cor would enter the Tidal World, and that the later cor would be the person Kalomchis was waiting for.” Magu paused, sighing: “Unfortunately, Kalomchis stayed in the Tidal World for three hundred years, and eventually his lifespan ca to an end without eting the person he was waiting for.”

Angel: “Was Kalomchis waiting in the Region of Fire?”

Magu nodded: “Yes, he eventually died here as well.”

Upon hearing this, Angel had a peculiar feeling rise in his heart, a feeling extrely familiar, as if he had experienced it back in the Abyss.

At this mont, Dangross suddenly spoke: “Was the ancestor waiting for the later cor here? So he knew the later cor would appear in our territory?”

After a pause, Dangross struggled out from under Toby’s claws, eyes looking at Angel: “Co to think of it, Mr. Pat first appeared in our territory, right? Could it be that the one awaited is Mr. Pat?”

Magu also looked at Angel, as he had long suspected that Angel might be the one.

Although Magu cannot be sure if Kalomchis was waiting for Angel, after all these years, no other later cor has appeared. Angel was the first outsider to appear.

Angel mused: “I actually don’t know. Today is the first ti I’ve heard of Kalomchis, but I know Mr. Feng, he is a very famous wizard outside, almost known by everyone in the Southern Domain Wizards’ Realm.”

Though Angel spoke this way, inwardly, he leaned toward Dangross’s conjecture.

He really might be the person Kalomchis was waiting for.

Just like in the Abyss, everything he did seed to be within the trap set by Feng.

Later, Feng even left an Odeclass intricate pattern key to Odeclass, and Odeclass handed the key to Angel… and recalling Feng’s ssage at the entrance stating that there was a treasure here requiring a key to open.

Although Angel had no evidence, his instincts told him that the Odeclass intricate pattern key was the key to the treasure!

Now, it seed he had entered Feng’s trap again.

Since he’s in the trap, becoming part of it, then the likelihood that he is the later cor awaited by Kalomchis is very high.

Angel: “Why was Kalomchis waiting for the later cor? Mr. Feng surely had more for him than just waiting, certainly tasks to impart, right?”

Magu shrugged: “I also asked Kalomchis this question, but he never told .”

Angel looked deeply at Magu, the latter did not shy away, their gazes t.

After a long ti, Angel nodded: “I understand.”

Angel and Magu were not simply exchanging glances; Angel was observing Magu’s spiritual wave motion to discern if he spoke truthfully. Magu realized Angel’s intent, so he generously opened his mind to him.

As far as he could tell, Magu’s words seed correct; he indeed didn’t know why Mr. Feng wanted Kalomchis to wait for a later cor, or what Kalomchis would do when the later cor arrived?

Although Magu might have concealed his mind, there really was no necessity.

Therefore, Angel trusted his words. Just that this answer made Angel slightly disappointed, since Feng set this trap, perhaps Kalomchis was the Guide for the trap, if only he could find the reason Kalomchis awaited the later cor, he might discern Feng’s information and the so-called treasure, but now Kalomchis was dead, this matter seed to have reached a dead end.

However, Angel also believed that Feng could not have overlooked this situation, there should be other sources of information.

Sure enough, Magu soon provided a new clue.

“Kalomchis served as the Tidal World’s common lord for nearly a hundred years; it was only in his later years he frequently resided in the Region of Fire, but for the majority he actually stayed in different regions. If Mr. Pat really wants to find answers, he might explore other regions.”

Angel nodded, without Magu’s suggestion, he surely would survey the other territories.

After all, the Tidal World is vast, Feng cannot possibly leave no clues.

Since no further information from Magu regarding Kalomchis was available, Angel shifted the topic to “Feng”, desiring more about Feng.

When it ca to the Savior, Magu hesitated: “I’ve never interacted with Mr. Feng, what information I know, I gathered from Kalomchis.”

Magu briefly ntioned so information about Feng, though he knew more than the fire demon Midir, these were basic details about Feng, nearly not secrets within the Wizard World.

“Is there no information about Feng related to the Tidal World at all?”

Magu shook his head: “I don’t know, but the old king Irithia had contact with Mr. Feng, he’d even painted a picture for the old king.”

“Was it this painting?” Angel tapped the void slightly, an illusion appeared, the black fire monkey painting on the previous big rock.

“Such wonderful power.” Magu praised before nodding: “Yes, that’s the painting.”

“Is there any inside story about this painting?” Angel pursued.

Magu was not quite familiar with it; in his view, the painting had no secrets.

“Aside from this painting, did Mr. Feng have any interactions with the old king?”

“Presumably, though the old king has passed, such ssages weren’t circulated. However, Mr. Feng has painted more than one picture; to my knowledge, he made one for each strongest entity in every territory at the ti, many later beca Monarchs of a region, even a few are still living.”

Angel remained silent, Magu may not have directly stated it, but his aning was clear. To truly understand Feng, eting those yet unfallen seems necessary for gaining more insight.
