Capítulo 2240: Chapter 2241: Pink Mist

Dumatin was the fastest in viewing the paintings. He didn’t seek any mysteries, simply glanced through them. After he finished viewing the paintings, he walked up to Angel. Instead of asking about the paintings themselves, he ntioned his earlier conversation with Rhein with a complicated expression: “I went to take a look at Tide Wave Garden, and there is indeed a Water System Elental Creature there, but…”

“It’s unattainable.” Dumatin sighed softly, his expression indescribable.

It’s not that Lord Rhein was unwilling to give it, but when he went to Tide Wave Garden, he found “Mu Ye Flower Wall” Nian Yesewei, “White Old Man” Wallace, and Lord Tree Spirit were all there. Moreover, the three of them were very solemnly gathered around a flying fish creature, studying it.

And this flying fish was the only elental creature in Tide Wave Garden.

Seeing their manner, Dumatin understood that he definitely couldn’t ask for it and plainly gave up.

“Then I can only rely on my luck to see if I can encounter a suitable Elental Creature,” Angel responded.

Dumatin nodded, but he didn’t think Angel could be so lucky to encounter a wild Elental Creature. In his view, only when Angel returned to the Barbarian Cave, to get more log-in devices from him, could he start research on Extraordinary Creatures.

While they were talking, Rhein and Ironclad Granny were still admiring the oil paintings.

With their ability to analyze information, they could almost decipher much of the contents inside and outside the paintings just by looking at them. For example, from a winter forest scene, by grasping details and integrating seasons, plant diversity, and even wind direction, they could almost fully analyze the content of the painting.

Even when guessing the painting’s location, they could have a general idea.

Among them, through several cityscape paintings and the combination of architectural style and cultural details, Ironclad Granny even accurately determined that the city in the painting was the capital of the Central Empire on the Revelation Continent.

Because of this judgnt, they initially thought these paintings were discovered by Angel on the Revelation Continent.

However, as they delved deeper into the paintings, lots of strange content erged from them: clearly showing a sumr season but displaying ice marks; clearly being on water yet showing scorching flas…

These strange paintings beca more and more nurous. The places they were sure about before began to gradually waver.

Ten minutes later, Ironclad Granny, Lord Rhein, and Lianna, having finished the entire exhibition, gathered at the entrance of the exhibition.

Angel: “How was it?”

Lianna was the first to respond: “As expected of the Magic Painter Wizard’s works, each is full of profound aning and holds the weight of history…”

Everyone: “…”

Dumatin: “The weight of history, I couldn’t quite see. But just from the feeling the paintings gave , it seems like the Magic Painter Wizard was mostly at ease while painting… As for the stories behind the paintings, I couldn’t see very clearly.”

After Dumatin spoke, he looked at Rhein and Ironclad Granny. While he was casually observing, Rhein and Ironclad Granny were observing carefully, maybe they discovered sothing.

However, Rhein remained silent, shaking his head and saying, “Can’t really tell.”

Ironclad Granny’s answer was similar to Rhein’s.

Even Rhein and Ironclad Granny didn’t provide any solid answers, so everyone ended up looking at Angel.

Facing everyone’s puzzled gazes, Angel offered an explanation, but his explanation was rely repeating what he had previously told Lianna.

“…In any case, I don’t know if there’s any hidden secret within the paintings. So, I’ll display them here first. If any other wizard discovers sothing, please inform imdiately.”

After speaking, Angel excused himself with other matters and left the exhibition first. However, to others, Angel’s hurried departure seed more like an attempt to avoid saying much.

“It seems Angel is hiding sothing about these paintings,” Dumatin whispered.

“Could Angel have discovered a painting studio relic left behind by the Magic Painter Wizard?”

It was Lianna who spoke, but her question received no agreent, only strange looks from everyone.

“Cough, cough, I’ll head back upstairs now. If I don’t, the tea might get cold.”

“I’ll go too. I have a lead on the new challenge of the Monunt of the Strange Loop.”

Ironclad Granny and Rhein turned around and walked out, quickly disappearing from the exhibition.

Dumatin also prepared to leave. But before he did, he looked at the still-puzzled Lianna, sighed lightly, and said, “Although the Magic Painter Wizard was a painter, he only painted while traveling and never left behind any studio as an example. Instead of suspecting Angel discovered a studio relic, it’s more likely Angel found a wizard relic that collects the Magic Painter Wizard’s works.”

After Dumatin finished speaking, he too disappeared within the exhibition.

anwhile, returning to the sixth floor of the Rosewater Pavilion, Ironclad Granny suddenly said, “I always feel that besides the paintings of the Central Empire, the other paintings seem to depict a new world.”

Rhein recalled the various oddities within the paintings, pondered for a mont, then nodded: “Indeed, they do not resemble the native landscape of the Wizards’ Realm.”

“Could it be that Feng painted so otherworldly ecosystems?”

Rhein thought for a mont and then dismissed that answer. Because from so details of the paintings, he could basically determine the tiline of the paintings, and they should have been from the sa period.

One mont depicting the landscapes of the Revelation Continent, the next the scenes of the Otherworld, then back to the Revelation Continent; this clearly defies common sense.

Ironclad Granny: “In the Revelation Continent, yet it presents a landscape not indigenous to the Wizards’ Realm… this reminds of an answer.”

Rhein: “A subsidiary plane?”

Ironclad Granny nodded: “Perhaps the secret Feng hid in the paintings actually points to a certain subsidiary plane?”

Angel did not hear the conversation between Ironclad Granny and Rhein.

At this mont, he had already moved away from the New City and arrived in a lush forest.

Angel hovered high in the sky, quietly gazing at a small hill below. This hill was covered with dark green grass, with a few small white flowers occasionally blooming, looking very ordinary at first glance.

But the reason Angel was staring here was naturally for a reason.

A few minutes later, a pink mist began to ooze from this ordinary little hill. The mist spread very rapidly, engulfing the hundred-ter hill in pink mist within ten minutes.

Angel took a deep look at the pink mist and then vanished in a flash.

When he reappeared, it was still near the small hill and still high in the sky. However, this ti, he was not alone; Frode appeared beside him.

Frode had originally been working in Originheart City, but just seconds ago, Angel’s voice appeared in his ear, asking him to exit the Wilderness of Dreams and re-enter.

Frode understood that Angel doing this was surely to summon him to a certain place.

Sure enough, when he re-entered the Wilderness of Dreams, he was no longer in the office but had co to the sky above a forest.

At first, Frode didn’t understand what Angel’s intentions were for calling him here, until he saw the hill shrouded in pink mist in the distance…

“Is that… the Mist of Sin?” The places where Frode most often stayed were the Sky Tower and the Demonic Fiend Laboratory.

The Demonic Fiend Laboratory was built near a Mist of Sin.

Therefore, the mont Frode saw the mist, he imdiately associated it with the Mist of Sin. Even if this Mist of Sin was pink, unlike the black Mist of Sin near the Demonic Fiend Laboratory, it gave him the sa lethal and maddening feeling.

Angel nodded: “Yes.”

The black mist of the Demonic Fiend Laboratory could be considered Mist of Sin, but Mist of Sin doesn’t refer solely to black mist. Black mist is just one manifestation of Mist of Sin; it can also take many other forms, like gray mist, red mist, blue mist, and so on.

And the pink mist enveloping the small hill was also a manifestation of Mist of Sin.

“The second Mist of Sin appeared too?” Frode sighed softly because the dispersal of the Mist of Sin’s authority over the land ant no one could control when it would manifest or where it would be born.

Angel might be able to, but the premise is that he must keep his attention fixed on the Ability Tree at all tis. Once signs of Mist of Sin’s birth appear, he would have to suppress it imdiately to prevent its appearance. But Angel obviously couldn’t keep watching the Ability Tree constantly, so the birth of this Mist of Sin was indeed beyond the plan.

After confirming it was Mist of Sin, Frode’s most pressing concern was—

“How far is this from Originheart City?”

Mist of Sin is a sub-authority under the Law of All Things, capable of birthing predators in nightmares—Demonic Fiend spawned creatures.

The ordinary residents of Originheart City are almost entirely overpowered by Demonic Fiend creatures. So, if this Mist of Sin is too close to Originheart City, it would be an absolute nightmare.

“About a thousand miles,” Angel estimated and gave this answer.

Upon hearing this, Frode breathed a slight sigh of relief. A thousand miles, though not too far, is about the sa distance as the Demonic Fiend Laboratory and shouldn’t affect Originheart City in the short term.

However, just as Frode relaxed slightly, he heard Angel say: “This Mist of Sin is still in its infancy and hasn’t given birth to Demonic Fiend creatures, but I received feedback from the Ability Tree that this pink Mist of Sin is also called a Flying Nest because the Demonic Fiend creatures it spawns are mostly of the flying kind.”

Flying kind? Frode quickly turned his head to look at Angel: “Will they reach Originheart City?”

Angel: “I can’t give a definitive answer at the mont, but given the current situation, the future is uncertain and there’s a significant possibility that it could affect Originheart City.”
