"Are you planning to go now?" The Wise Sovereign asked after handing the key to Angel.
However, the Wise Sovereign waited for quite a while without receiving any response from Angel.
Curiously, he turned to look back, only to find that Angel seed to have frozen at so point, his brow furrowed, as if lost in deep thought.
The Wise Sovereign was a bit perplexed—was there sothing wrong with what he had just said? It was just a normal statent, so why was Angel so stunned?
The Wise Sovereign glanced at the "doghole" beside him, wanting to seek Genggui’s opinion. Genggui seed to understand the Wise Sovereign’s intent and whispered, "The Dominator froze like that when you ntioned the Sweet Dream being stored in Mirror Space."
"Mirror Space... I see." The Wise Sovereign seed to have realized sothing and couldn’t help but smile.
On the other side, after a long while, Angel finally snapped out of his own thoughts.
Yet even after regaining focus, his tightly-knit brow still did not relax.
Seeing this, the Wise Sovereign smiled and said, "What, are you worried about entering Mirror Space?"
Although it was a question, the tone of the Wise Sovereign was very assured, as if he believed that Angel was indeed concerned about entering the Mirror Space.
After all, the Mirror Space is within the Mirror Domain, and to any life or object from the Material Realm, it exhibits an extrely unstable state.
It’s highly possible that once a living person enters, the passage through the mirror might collapse soon. Ultimately, one might either get lost in the endless Mirror World or sink into the Sea of Void Mirror, becoming an empty-hearted person.
The Wise Sovereign patted Angel on the shoulder and said with a smile, "You needn’t be tense. Although that place is in Mirror Space, it belongs to the outermost part of the Mirror Domain and is quite stable. You’ll be fine going in. Moreover, with Genggui guiding you, even if sothing does go wrong, it can lead you back to reality safely."
Genggui also said at the right ti, "I will ensure the gentleman’s safety."
The Wise Sovereign: "Or, do you not trust Genggui?"
Angel quickly waved his hand, "I naturally trust Genggui."
After a pause, Angel continued, "I was just thinking if the Sweet Dream could possibly be brought into reality?"
"No." The Wise Sovereign shook his head, "Or rather, I don’t have the ability to bring the Sweet Dream into reality."
"I told you before, the Sweet Dream does not have a physical form. The ability to find and seal it is Laplace’s. Once it’s released from the Mirror Space, it might just dissipate imdiately, and finding and sealing it again would be very difficult."
"At least, I cannot do it."
After hearing the Wise Sovereign’s words, Angel’s brow furrowed more deeply. If the Wise Sovereign can’t do it, then they probably can’t either.
This also ans that the Sweet Dream truly cannot be brought into reality...
"That’s troubleso," Angel mumbled unconsciously.
"Why... troubleso?" The Wise Sovereign looked at Angel in confusion.
Angel was silent for a mont, then sighed lightly, "I was originally thinking that if I could bring it into reality, I could use so experintal instrunts to study it. But if it’s in the Mirror Domain, it seems difficult for to conduct in-depth research."
The Wise Sovereign was puzzled earlier as to why Angel still frowned even after he assured the safety of the Mirror Space. Now, after hearing Angel’s explanation, he imdiately understood.
The Wise Sovereign was also an Alchemist and a scholar eager to study any subject. He completely understood Angel’s desire to research the Sweet Dream.
If it were him, he would also worry about being unable to conduct research in the Mirror Domain. Besides, Angel had touched upon mysterious realms before and was eager to break through, which was understandable.
The Wise Sovereign smiled and said, "You’re overthinking it. Rest assured, you can bring your experintal instrunts directly inside to conduct your research. With Laplace’s enhancent, the stability of that Mirror Space is quite high, and general research should be no problem."
"I have also conducted so research on the Sweet Dream. All experintal instrunts operate normally inside."
"If you have any research thods that might cause a big stir, you can notify Genggui. It will help you determine whether the Mirror Space can withstand the intensity of your research."
After pondering for a mont, Angel spoke softly, "Thank you to both the Wise Sovereign and Genggui. However..."
"Even though research can be conducted in the Mirror Space, the rules of the Mirror Domain are ultimately different from reality. It might not be easy to achieve research results."
The Wise Sovereign nodded, "You are right about that. However, the research process itself is a process of overcoming difficulties. If you can overco these challenges, you’ll naturally get results; if not, it just ans... it’s not compatible with you. Perhaps you could switch to researching another Mysterious Object?"
The last remark by the Wise Sovereign was sowhat teasing.
However, Angel found it hard to smile.
What Angel had ntioned about worrying over research was just a superficial phrase. The so-called ’research’ simply didn’t exist.
The real issue he had was that—
He originally planned to see whether he could pull the Sweet Dream into the Wilderness of Dreams, which is what he referred to as his ’entire research process.’
But all of this was contingent on the Sweet Dream being in reality.
If it’s not in reality, even if the Dream Conch could influence the Sweet Dream, Angel wouldn’t be able to discern this.
This is because Angel’s judgnt is based on whether the Sweet Dream can enter the Wilderness of Dreams. And the Wilderness of Dreams is dependent on the Southern Domain Wizards’ Realm, only things within the Southern Domain Wizards’ Realm can be drawn into the Wilderness of Dreams by the Dream Conch.
If the Sweet Dream is in the Mirror Domain, it’s akin to being in another world, not within the Southern Domain. Even using the Dream Conch wouldn’t draw it into the Wilderness of Dreams.
So, wouldn’t that be a wasted effort?
And this, indeed, was the true reason why Angel frowned.
"Do you have other concerns?" The Wise Sovereign asked, seeing Angel still looking grim.
Angel forced a smile, "No... I was just considering how to adapt to the Mirror Domain’s rules to research the Sweet Dream if I enter the Mirror Space."
At this point, Angel showed an apologetic expression to the Wise Sovereign, "Before, I said I could start the research imdiately, but plans can’t keep up with changes. Now, perhaps it will take a little longer."
The Wise Sovereign was indifferent and shrugged, "It’s fine, you can take a month to think if you want. After all, the key is already with you."
Angel thanked the Wise Sovereign, "It won’t take that long, it should be quite soon, just allow to ponder a little more."
"Alright, I’ll wait beside you." The Wise Sovereign didn’t mind and sat to the side, also lost in thought.
For a ti, the lounge fell into a long silence.
Angel and the Wise Sovereign were each lost in their own thoughts, but their contemplations were different.
The Wise Sovereign took this ti to ponder the identity of the "mysterious person," while Angel was considering... is there any other solution?
Ti slowly passed by.
Half an hour later, Angel was the first to co out of his reverie.
His return to awareness didn’t an he had an idea... He had just activated his supercomputer state and thought for a long ti, but still couldn’t find a perfect solution.
He did have so more long-term and fragnted ideas in his mind, but whether these thoughts could co together, it seed a bit challenging at the mont.
Continuing to think likely wouldn’t yield new answers, so Angel decided to end his contemplation early.
Although there wasn’t a solution yet, Angel wasn’t prepared to give up.
It was such a rare opportunity, it would be a sha to let it go. His plan now was to go step by step, perhaps the problem will resolve itself when the ti cos.
Shortly after Angel returned to reality, the Wise Sovereign also woke from his ditation, his gaze a bit unfocused, contemplating asking Angel about his own thoughts. But if this "mysterious person" was indeed that individual, his inquiry might cause trouble for Angel. With this in mind, the Wise Sovereign hesitated for a mont but ultimately didn’t speak.
The Wise Sovereign suppressed the swirling thoughts within and smiled at Angel, "Now, do you have any ideas?"
Angel let out a long sigh, "I do have so thoughts, but the gap between thought and reality is like a chasm and an abyss, very hard to bridge. It’s almost impossible to bring dreams into reality."
Hearing Angel’s sigh, the Wise Sovereign raised an eyebrow, "Your confidence is much lower than before..."
Angel didn’t reply aloud, but in his heart, he silently thought: he wasn’t confident earlier, just eager to finish the tests and leave quickly. But who knew such a change would occur... Sigh!
Seeing the lack of confidence in Angel’s eyes, the Wise Sovereign consoled, "If you need my help, you can always ask."
"No, I’m fine for now..." Angel was about to refuse when suddenly, as if he thought of sothing, he changed his mind, "Oh, I thought of sothing. I might indeed need the Wise Sovereign’s help."
The Wise Sovereign gestured for Angel to continue.
Angel said, "Could you help contact Laplace?"
The Wise Sovereign hesitated for a mont, then asked, "Are you planning to involve her for collaboration in your research?"
"Sort of." Angel shrugged, "I don’t have any other solutions. I can only start from the root to see if there’s a solution. And Laplace, not only discovered the Sweet Dream, but also gathered and sealed it. She must have a deep understanding of it. So I thought, if she could collaborate during the research, maybe new ideas would erge."
"I understand your thought process. I can help you get in touch with Laplace." The Wise Sovereign continued, "However, whether Laplace wants to et you, I can’t decide for her."
Actually, if the Wise Sovereign wanted to use his influence to make Laplace see Angel, she probably wouldn’t refuse. But he had no such intentions.
He valued Angel, of course, but Laplace was also very important to him. The World within the Mirror was a place he had always wanted to develop, and Laplace was crucial to that.
He could help pass the ssage, but whether Laplace would co, he would leave the decision to her.
Angel nodded, "I understand."
If Laplace would co, Angel had so small plans; if she didn’t, Angel would most likely have to resort to taking it step by step.
"Then wait a mont."
After speaking, the Wise Sovereign looked at Genggui, "You heard our conversation, right? Go find Ebao, and ask it to pass the ssage to Laplace to see if she’s willing to co."
Genggui responded with an "Okay," the doghole slowly closed and disappeared shortly thereafter.
After Genggui left, the atmosphere in the lounge returned to silence.
However, this ti, Angel and the Wise Sovereign did not fall into another contemplation, but just looked at each other.
Seeing the atmosphere heading towards awkwardness, Angel broke the silence first, "By the way, I actually have so questions for the Wise Sovereign, would you be able to enlighten ?"
The Wise Sovereign also didn’t want the atmosphere to be stagnant, so following Angel’s lead, he said, "What kind of questions? Bottlenecks in your practice?"
Angel shook his head, "No, it’s about so historical truths."
The Wise Sovereign squinted his eyes, "You want to ask about Naraku City?"
Angel hurriedly waved his hand, he definitely didn’t want to get involved in the ss of Naraku City, especially after learning so of the inside stories from Augustine, he wanted to stay far away.
"Not Naraku City, but so events from the Origin World before it was disconnected from the Southern Domain, possibly secrets of the Pan-Dinsional Plane, or perhaps so lost historical truths."
The Wise Sovereign felt slightly disappointed hearing Angel’s words, but still didn’t refuse, "Ask away, I’ll see if I know anything."
Angel didn’t hesitate and imdiately asked his unresolved doubts.
His doubts primarily revolved around so unresolved mysteries during his previous conversation with Laplace.
For example, the truth about the Panic Realm.
When exactly was the Panic Realm discovered? What about the scenes Laplace saw of the Panic Realm in the Sea of Void Mirror?
Could Awakened Demon People have a second awakening? Also, where did that huge wizard city rising in the Panic Realm co from?
If there were wizard cities in the Panic Realm during the teorite Gold era, it implies the Panic Realm had the resources wizards required. But why now is it widely rumored that the Panic Realm is very barren and too far from the Southern Domain to be worth exploring?
Angel originally intended to ask Tree Spirit about these questions. But now, since there wasn’t much else to do, and the Wise Sovereign was a relic from that era, maybe he knew so truths about the Panic Realm.
"The Panic Realm’s matter, eh..." The Wise Sovereign subconsciously glanced at Angel’s shadow, understanding why Angel was inquiring about the Panic Realm, most likely related to the second awakening of the Demon People he ntioned.
"I don’t know much about the Panic Realm affairs. What you ntioned, it’s the first ti I’ve heard of it. However, I have an old friend who takes a keen interest in studying high-energy worlds. If the Panic Realm indeed had wizard cities rising during the teorite Gold era, she might know so inside stories."
Angel: "An old friend? Are you referring to... Cicia?"
The Wise Sovereign seed to read Angel’s thoughts and shook his head, "No, not Cicia. You don’t know her... um, I don’t suppose you do? After all, even a millennium ago, she wasn’t well-known."
"Yes, like , she survived the great change in Naraku City from ten thousand years ago."
"However, her strength is not prominent. She didn’t breakthrough the barrier of True Knowledge, which limited her lifespan. Her physical form dissipated a thousand years ago. But her soul still rests within the Soul Soothing Stone, without entering the Quest World."
