"Hello, is this President Lloyd? I am... I am Bella Acker." Bella Acker clutched her phone tightly, her voice a little tense, as scenes from that night involuntarily flashed through her mind.
On the other end of the line, President Lloyd perked up upon hearing her voice and glanced at the caller ID, "Ms. Acker, a pleasure to et you!"
"Uh... I wonder if President Lloyd has ti, I’d like to arrange a eting."
"A eting? Now?"
"No... not now, didn’t you return to Creston?"
"No, I ca back this afternoon." President Lloyd sounded particularly enthusiastic, "Where does Ms. Acker want to et? Shall I book a restaurant?"
"No... there’s no need, I’ll... I’ll treat you to tea." Bella Acker imdiately refused. Letting him choose the place felt far too unsafe.
"Alright, Ms. Acker, you na the place, and I’ll co right over."
They agreed on a eting place before hanging up the phone.
Bella Acker finally breathed a sigh of relief. If she could, she would rather not recall that evening or et President Lloyd again, but there was no choice now, hoping for so luck.
Sharon Cheney had her suspicions that Bella’s disappearance that night could be related to President Lloyd of Aurelian dia, she thought for a mont and said, "Bella, I’ll go with you to et President Lloyd."
"Okay." Bella Acker nodded, feeling braver with Ms. Cheney accompanying her.
The two of them tidied up and left the hotel, heading to the agreed upon teahouse.
The teahouse was not far from the hotel, and it took them about ten minutes to walk there.
However, when they arrived, President Lloyd was already waiting in the teahouse, appearing more eager than they who were asking for a favor.
"Ms. Acker, over here!" As soon as President Lloyd saw them, he imdiately stood up from his seat and approached warmly, smiling as kindly as possible, "Ms. Acker, co, co, it’s really cold outside, but the air conditioning here is nice and warm."
Saying this, he extended his hand to guide Bella Acker to the reserved table, but when Bella saw his outstretched hand, she instinctively stepped aside, her gaze wary.
President Lloyd paused, imdiately realized, and stepped back two paces, still smiling kindly, "Ms. Acker, please."
Bella Acker felt a bit awkward, still sowhat fearful, but mustered her courage when she thought about Ms. Flynn.
Next to her, Sharon Cheney observed everything, stepping forward two paces and subtly positioning herself between President Lloyd and Bella, accompanying her to the seat.
Bella Acker cast a grateful glance at Ms. Cheney.
President Lloyd also felt a bit awkward but quickly covered it up, raising his hand to call, "Waiter, bring the nu."
The waiter quickly brought over the nu, and President Lloyd enthusiastically handed it over, "Ms. Acker, see what you’d like to drink."
With such an attitude, not just Bella Acker, even Sharon Cheney thought he was being a bit overzealous.
"Ms. Cheney, what would you like to drink?" Bella Acker handed the nu to Sharon Cheney beside her.
Sharon Cheney smiled slightly, "It’s cold, why not have a pot of tea to warm us up, what does President Lloyd think?"
"You can order whatever you like, I’m fine with anything." President Lloyd’s attention was clearly more focused on Bella Acker, casually responding to Sharon Cheney, and then added, "Ms. Acker, I heard you’ve been having lots of night scenes lately, must be exhausting, huh?
