Another person finished speaking and left.
Bella Acker looked down at her own skirt in confusion. Was he talking about her?
No, no, it shouldn’t be! There were so many people around, and she had been with Ms. Flynn and Ms. Cheney the whole ti. Others shouldn’t have noticed her.
Co to think of it, why did the other voice sound sowhat familiar?
Whose voice did it sound like?
Bella pondered it for a mont but couldn’t recall. anwhile, the two people playing around on the side beca more and more energetic, making annoying whiny noises without stopping. It was really botherso.
"Shouldn’t the two of you consider other people’s feelings, no matter how high your spirits are? After all, this is a public place."
Bella didn’t move; it was the person who walked to the pavilion who had spoken first.
With those words, the two people seed either startled or finally aware of needing to consider their impact, and the noise finally stopped.
Bella finally exhaled in relief, but before she could fully relax, she heard the person in the pavilion say, "Isn’t it uncomfortable squatting there?"
Bella’s body stiffened. Had she been discovered?!
"Co out, I found you. But don’t worry, I won’t make you do anything."
Bella held her breath, pretending she hadn’t heard anything.
"It’s still snowing, aren’t you cold squatting in the bushes?"
Of course she was cold! She was nearly frozen!
Bella pursed her lips and finally whispered, "You really won’t make do anything?"
"Don’t worry, I’m just here with a friend. I’m not interested in this ga," the person in the pavilion promised softly, sounding quite reassuring.
The snow was still falling, and it was indeed too cold to keep squatting in the bushes. Bella thought about it and finally crawled out, saying, "You promised, don’t go back on your word."
The person in the pavilion nodded, indicating he wouldn’t go back on his word.
Only then did Bella dust the snow off her clothes and slowly made her way into the pavilion. "Um... Your voice sounds familiar. Do we know each other?"
"Really? This is my first ti here, you must have mistaken for soone else," the person in the pavilion seed to chuckle lightly and said.
"Ah!" Bella’s eyes widened as she suddenly rembered whose voice it was, "Archer... Senior Quinn!"
"Silly girl," Archer Quinn said with a smile. "I was wondering how long it’d take you to recognize ."
Knowing it was soone she knew, Bella felt completely at ease.
"Senior Quinn, aren’t you filming? Why are you in Creston?"
"The filming there just wrapped up. I’m off half a day today, joining the ’Brocade River and Mountain’ crew tomorrow," Archer Quinn brushed the snow off her head and said, "And you? Aren’t you supposed to be filming? Why are you back in Creston?"
Though the last part remained unsaid, he thought she was likely accompanying soone, similar to himself.
"I took leave with Ms. Cheney to visit Ms. Flynn, going back to the set tomorrow," Bella said.
"I see," Archer Quinn nodded. "I’ve heard a bit about the issues with Ms. Flynn’s studio. Is it resolved now?"
"Yes, it should be resolved," Bella didn’t want to explain further, so she quickly changed the topic, "Senior Quinn, it’s surprising to see you at a costu party like this."
