Archer Quinn couldn’t resist reaching out to gently tussle her hair, "Bella, with that little look of yours, you really can’t threaten anyone. To be honest, you look like a middle schooler. Are you even an adult yet?"
"Bla my youthful appearance." Bella Acker cradled her head to dodge, gave him a sidelong glance, and pouted slightly, "In two more months, I’ll be twenty, but when I take the bus, the driver always asks why I’m not using a student card."
Archer Quinn looked at her: "..."
Bella Acker drooped her head in resignation, "Senior Quinn, just laugh if you want. I’m used to it."
"Pfft, hahaha... Bella, I’m sorry, I... I just imagined the scene and couldn’t help but laugh, hahaha..." Archer Quinn was laughing so hard his shoulders shook, and he bent over, gasping for air.
Every ti he thought of Bella’s distressed look when questioned by the bus driver, he couldn’t help but laugh.
She was just too adorable!
Bella Acker looked at him with a grievance, accusing, "Senior Quinn, aren’t you laughing a bit too recklessly? At least give so face."
"I’m sorry, I’m sorry." Seeing her eyes filled with grievance, Archer Quinn finally managed to stifle his laughter, but there was still a big smile in his eyes. "Bella, next ti sothing like that happens, I’ll definitely back you up."
"Are you sure you’ll back up and not make it worse?" Bella gave him a sidelong glance, clearly doubting his words after his earlier laughter.
Archer Quinn raised a hand in assurance, "Of course."
"Alright. Then I’ll be the bigger person and forgive you this ti." Bella smiled, "Senior Quinn, actually, your laughter has a very different vibe."
"Oh? How is it different?" Archer Quinn tilted his head to look at her.
"How should I put it?" Bella tilted her head thoughtfully before saying, "You’re usually so gentle and polite, giving a very warm and kind impression. But your hearty laugh just now made you seem a lot more sunny, more like a big kid."
"So which side of do you like?" Archer Quinn asked.
Bella thought he was just comparing the two vibes and replied without thinking much, "I like both?"
Archer Quinn’s heart skipped a beat, and he subconsciously asked, "Why?"
As soon as he spoke, he realized his voice had tightened because of her simple response.
This had never happened to him before.
Bella didn’t notice anything unusual and was instead puzzled by his question, blinking as she replied, "Because no matter what, it’s all part of you, Senior Quinn, my good friend... Oh, Senior Quinn, the ran shop is here."
Slling the strong aroma of beef noodle soup, Bella happily pushed open the shop door and walked in first.
The door automatically closed behind her, sealing off the warm air and noodle soup fragrance inside.
Archer Quinn stood there, not imdiately following her in, with a slightly stunned, bewildered expression on his face.
Earlier, his heart had skipped a beat because of her words; now, it was pounding rapidly, as if trying to leap out of his chest.
Archer Quinn couldn’t help but place a hand over his heart, which was pounding so urgently and nervously that he felt a vague sense of panic and euphoria. He couldn’t even tell if this kind of heartbeat was going to lift him to heaven, or send him plumting to earth in the next second.
