The Seraphina Garden’s decor leans towards the ancient aesthetics of the Riverlands, exuding poetic charm and elegance everywhere.
Bella Acker walked into the private room, and the maid softly inquired, "Excuse , when should the dishes reserved by First Miss Sinclair be served?"
"Wait... let’s wait a bit. There’s still soone who hasn’t arrived."
"Alright." The maid smiled slightly, "If anyone needs anything, you can press the bell on the table." With that, she exited the private room.
The spacious private room instantly left Bella Acker alone.
On the way here, she was so eager to see Damian, but when she was truly about to et him, she beca extrely nervous.
Would Damian forgive her? Would he no longer want to see her? Would he still want her?
Bella Acker was both nervous and expectant, wishing Damian would appear at the door now, yet paradoxically, hoping he would co later, so she could ntally prepare herself.
Ti ticked away, and outside, the sky gradually darkened, with warm palace lanterns already lit in the courtyard outside the window.
Bella Acker glanced at the clock hanging on the wall; it was already past seven in the evening.
Why hadn’t Damian co yet? Was it because he was delayed by overti work, or did he know she was here, and hence had no intention of coming?
The longer Bella waited, the less nervous and expectant she felt, replaced by unease and anxiety.
If Damian had no desire to see her, did it an that even if misunderstandings were cleared, they could never be together again?
But...
Whenever she thought about a future without Damian, her heart felt alarmingly empty.
"Click."
The door to the private room opened, and Damian Sinclair walked in, radiating chilly air.
Upon hearing the sound, Bella Acker sharply lifted her head, and tears involuntarily welled up as soon as she saw him.
"Da... Damian..." Bella Acker stood up sowhat awkwardly, nervously looking at him.
Damian Sinclair stared back at her expressionlessly, "What are you doing here?"
"I... Bella, your sister Blythe Sinclair ca to find , and I’ve realized everything." Bella Acker said quietly, "Damian, I’m sorry; I’ve misunderstood you all along."
"Misunderstanding?" Damian Sinclair asked coldly, "Was there a misunderstanding between Ms. Acker and ?"
Bella Acker couldn’t bear his icy words and imdiately nodded, saying, "Yes... there was. I... I always mistakenly thought Bella was the girl you liked, so... so I decided to break up with you."
"So now that Ms. Acker knows everything was a misunderstanding, you want to turn back and make good with ? In Ms. Acker’s eyes, do you think Damian Sinclair is soone who cos when summoned and leaves when dismissed?" Damian Sinclair coldly raised an eyebrow, radiating an aura of rejection.
"I... I didn’t an that."
"Didn’t an what? Didn’t want to make good with ?"
"I... I didn’t think you could be summoned or dismissed as I please." Bella Acker couldn’t stand his coldness, lowered her head slightly, and said softly, "I just wanted to apologize to you, wanted to tell you..."
"Enough!" Damian Sinclair interrupted her harshly.
Bella Acker looked up in panic at him.
Damian Sinclair raised a hand to rub his forehead, and after a mont, resud his cold deanor, saying, "If I’m not mistaken, Ms. Acker, you ntioned yesterday evening that we should never et again! That was your wish, and I’ve fulfilled it."
"Damian... I..."
