Bella Acker’s face turned pale when she heard, "Huh? What do we do now? Should we see a doctor? If it’s broken... can it be fixed?"
"Fixed? Fix it?" Damian Sinclair thought he must have misheard.
"Isn’t there... isn’t there a bone inside? If it’s broken, it needs to be fixed," Bella shyly thought, otherwise why would it be so hard?
Damian: "..." He didn’t know what to say anymore.
Bella looked at him innocently. Why does Damian seem so helpless? Did she say sothing wrong?
"Forget it." Damian felt dissatisfied even with this outco, sowhat defeated, as he collapsed onto her, heavily pressing against her without moving.
"Damian, are you still in pain?" Bella knew he was really hurt earlier, so she was a bit worried and distressed.
"Yeah." Damian buried his head in her neck, answering softly, his voice sounding a bit muffled.
His pain wasn’t from being pinched but from being... swollen.
"What should we do then?" Bella was a bit anxious, "Damian, we should go see a doctor, you shouldn’t ignore it."
"Idiot, shut up!"
What nonsense avoiding the doctor, isn’t it all her fault!
Why did her period have to co now of all tis? Heartless little woman, could she have done this on purpose?
Suddenly Damian raised his head, staring intently at her. Bella was startled, "Wh-What’s wrong?"
"Say, did you do it on purpose?"
"Huh? You an my period?" Bella blinked innocently, "I can’t help it if it cos. Can’t exactly stop it."
"Bella Acker, are you feeling smug right now?" Damian didn’t miss the sly glint in her eyes. She’s best at feigning innocence to deceive people, he knew her well.
"I swear, I’m definitely not feeling smug." Bella earnestly raised her palm, then chuckled, muttering quietly, "Okay, I admit, seeing you this frustrated makes a bit smug. Considering you always bullied before, hmph."
Damian was speechless, feeling like he wanted to teach her a lesson right there!
Bella carefully glanced at his expression, "Damian, are you really uncomfortable?"
"Shut up! Sleep!" Damian firmly pulled her into his arms, rolling over onto the couch himself, letting her lie on top of him to keep her comfortable.
"Damian..."
"Hmm?"
"I haven’t eaten since lunch until now, my stomach is growling," Bella said pathetically while lying in his arms.
Hearing this, Damian finally opened his eyes to look at her, Bella blinked pitifully, resembling a little puppy begging for food.
"Damian, I’m so hungry."
Damian, resigned, lightly patted her waist, "Alright, get up."
"Okay!" Bella swiftly climbed off him, watching Damian rise, sticking closely behind him as they walked into the kitchen.
Damian opened the fridge. Living alone here, he rarely ate at ho, and the fridge only contained fruits and so vegetables prepared by Mrs. Miller, who ca to clean regularly. But there weren’t many fresh ingredients.
Damian checked the freezer and found so frozen milk buns. Bella has always loved these, maybe Mrs. Miller prepared them specifically for her.
"Not much fresh food, let’s steam the milk buns and make so fried noodles."
