The two of them headed out to the underground garage to get the car. Bella followed behind Damian, watching his tall, upright back, and suddenly felt a bit uneasy.
She asked carefully, "Dam... Damian, you seed to be drunk last night. Do you... do you rember what we talked about?"
"I don’t rember." Damian pressed the car key to unlock the car, opened the driver’s door, and got in.
Bella froze, standing there in place.
If Damian didn’t rember what they talked about last night, does that an he also didn’t rember that they reconciled?
"Get in the car." Damian rolled down the window and called her.
Only then did Bella snap back to reality. She quickly walked over and got into the passenger seat. While fastening her seatbelt, she stole a glance at Damian’s expression, "Damian, you were teasing just now, weren’t you? If you... if you really didn’t rember, how would you know to go to Mount Sterling?"
Bella was just stunned by his sudden remark, her brain couldn’t process it, but now that she thought about it, there was no way he forgot.
If he forgot, he wouldn’t rember Mount Sterling. Nor would he have dressed her in the morning or made her breakfast.
Damian glanced at her sideways, started the car, and slowly backed out and turned around.
Bella knew he hadn’t forgotten but was unsure about his current thoughts.
What does Damian want to do? Is he trying to teach her a lesson?
"Damian, the previous misunderstanding was all my fault, you can punish ." Bella decided to strike first, "Don’t worry, I definitely won’t be angry."
Damian raised an eyebrow and looked at her. As the car drove out of the garage, he finally spoke, "I thought a lot last night, and the misunderstanding between us wasn’t because of Bella."
Bella was a bit confused. It was because of Bella! She mistakenly thought Damian liked Bella and not her; she didn’t want to be a stand-in for soone else, and certainly didn’t want to interfere in soone else’s relationship, which is why she suggested breaking up!
But now Damian is saying it wasn’t because of Bella, then what was it?
Damian continued, "Bella is my sister. You were quick to resolve the misunderstanding once you knew. But what if it were another woman? If you heard from others that I slept with so woman and believed it, then how would we resolve that misunderstanding?"
Bella was stunned, her eyes widened in disbelief. Yes, if they encountered such a misunderstanding next ti, could it be resolved so easily?
Even if it could be resolved, how much of their feelings could be spent on mutual harm and exhaustion?
Feeling tight in her heart, Bella clutched her fingers and looked down, after a while, she quietly said, "Damian, I’m sorry, it was who didn’t trust you enough. Can... can you forgive ?"
Damian looked at her, swallowed the words he was about to say.
Besides the trust issue between them, they also lacked confidence in whether they were important to each other. Bella felt this, and so did he.
But these are not things that can be resolved overnight, they can only be approached slowly, step by step.
Bella nervously raised her head slightly to look at him. Damian’s expression changed a bit; he turned his gaze back to the front and said plainly, "Show your behavior. If I’m satisfied, I’ll forgive you. If I’m not..."
"What will happen if you’re not satisfied?" Bella asked, her eyes round and wide, looking at him.
"Then there will be a spanking."
Before Damian finished speaking, Bella imdiately reached out to protect her poor little bottom, pouting with a grievance, "No, it hurts when you spank ! No spanking, pick sothing else."
