The address that Director Ford asked Damian Sinclair to investigate was indeed very important to him; it concerned his happiness for the rest of his life.
Director Ford compromised, "Alright, alright, send the address over."
"Thanks."
The two hung up the phone, and shortly after, Director Ford received a text ssage from Damian Sinclair.
Looking at the address in the ssage, the frustration stuck in Director Ford’s throat finally dissipated a bit, "It’s my movie, and you say it’ll have a holiday just like that. Fine, a holiday it is, but I can make her work overti to catch up on progress."
Director Ford muttered proudly to himself.
Sharon Cheney ca out from behind the set and heard him, confused, "What holiday, overti, catching up on progress? Bella?"
"Yeah," Director Ford replied absentmindedly before realizing, imdiately locking his phone and smiling back at her, "Sharon, you startled there with no warning."
"Sorry, did I scare you?" Sharon Cheney glanced at the phone he had hidden away, a bit puzzled. Was he talking to a lover, and had she interrupted him?
Thinking so, Sharon Cheney suddenly felt a bit stifled. As if there was a weight pressing on her chest, it was a little uncomfortable.
"Oh, not at all, I’m not that timid," Director Ford quickly gestured, "You’ve got a heavy scene today, aren’t you tired?"
"It’s alright," Sharon said, "Director Ford, Bella might not be able to make it back today, she likely needs to take another day off."
"Bella’s already back, she’s in the dressing room now, didn’t you see her just now?" Director Ford asked instinctively, then added, "Oh, you were filming earlier so you probably missed her. Bella’s already back, don’t worry."
"Really? That’s good then." Sharon Cheney breathed a sigh of relief, smiled slightly, "I’ll head over there now."
"Hey, Sharon, wait a sec." Director Ford reached out and grabbed Sharon Cheney’s arm.
Sharon Cheney had just turned around when her arm was caught, and since she was wearing her costu with embroidered shoes, she was unsteady and tilted sideways.
Director Ford imdiately stepped forward, extending his arm to steady her by the shoulders.
Sharon Cheney couldn’t keep her balance and fell right into his arms.
They both froze!
"Old Ford, sorry, I lost my balance and bumped into you, did I hurt you?" Sharon Cheney realized and instantly struggled out of his embrace, awkwardly stepping back to put so distance between them.
The once real embrace suddenly empty, Director Ford felt his heart sink for a mont.
He lowered his hand, concerned, "I’m fine. Sharon, did you twist your ankle?"
Sharon Cheney shook her head, sowhat evasively, "If there’s nothing else, I’ll just go over there."
"Wait, Sharon, I need to talk to you." Director Ford stopped her, awkwardly retracting the hand that was about to grab her arm, "I want to go sowhere, could you accompany ?"
Sharon Cheney frowned and remained silent; after a long pause, she finally said, "I’m quite busy recently, I may not have ti. You should find soone else to accompany you."
"It’s alright, it’s not like I’m going anyti soon," Director Ford said, "I’ll co to pick you up once you’re free. Besides you, I can’t think of anyone else to go with ."
Having put it this way, Sharon Cheney couldn’t keep refusing. After hesitating for a while, she finally nodded, "Okay. When are we going?"
"No rush, no rush, I’ll let you know once I have things arranged," Director Ford was finally happy.
