Damian Sinclair gazed intensely into the distance, the dull ache in his chest making him tilt his head back and close his eyes, forcing back a certain bitterness rising in his reddened eyes.
He stood in front of the glass wall, not knowing how long he had been there. Watching the sun squeeze through the clouds, inch by inch climbing to the highest sky.
"Knock knock."
The office door was knocked again, the chief secretary cautiously pushed open the door and said, "President Sinclair, shall I order lunch for you?"
It turned out it was already noon. He had been standing in front of the glass wall, without doing any work, for several hours.
Damian Sinclair turned around expressionlessly, walked back to the chair in front of the desk, and said, "No need."
"Alright." The chief secretary hesitated for a mont but ultimately did not dare to ask more, gently closed the door and retreated.
Damian Sinclair looked at the photo placed on the solid wood table, stared at it expressionlessly for a while before standing up to put the photo back into the file bag, and placed it in the office cabinet.
Back at the filming base, Bella Acker wrapped up at noon to rest, and imdiately ran to the rest area to grab her phone.
She hurriedly pressed the phone to light it up, still not a single missed call.
This action she had done many tis this morning, whenever she had a break she would pick up the phone to check.
Each ti, she held hope, but what awaited was disappointnt.
Sharon gently patted her shoulder, softly said, "Try calling once more, maybe he’s just been busy and hasn’t seen the call."
How could that be.
Damian knew it was her calling but didn’t answer, indicating he was truly angry. The possibility of not seeing the call was almost zero.
Knowing this, yet Bella still didn’t want to give up.
She squeezed the phone nodding, "Alright, I’ll call him again." Saying that, she took the phone to the side.
Sharon was sowhat worried. Bella was clearly distracted while filming today morning, the number of takes was a lot more than before, even Director Ford was sowhat unhappy.
Bella took the phone to the corner, resolutely dialed Damian Sinclair’s number.
The phone rang four tis before it was picked up, Bella heard the voice from the other side, nervously clutching the phone, "Hey, Damian."
Damian’s cold voice ca from the other end of the line, "Check the MMS." After speaking, he hung up.
Bella was stunned, after a while the phone alerted there was an MMS to accept. She opened it, there were two photos in the MMS.
One was a photo of her sitting and kissing Senior Quinn, and one of them lying on the bed seemingly unclothed while kissing.
"This..." Bella was a bit dumbfounded looking at them, "When were these photos taken? No wonder Damian is so angry, but there wasn’t such a thing at all!"
Bella hurriedly dialed Damian Sinclair’s phone again.
Damian seed to be waiting for her call, as it was picked up only after one ring.
His cold voice ca from the phone, "Ms. Acker, is there anything you’d like to explain?"
"Damian, listen to , Senior Quinn and I are not what you think." Bella hastily explained.
"How do you explain these candid photos?" Damian’s voice, apart from being icy, showed no emotion, even the calmness made Bella sowhat panicked.
People can’t be so calm when angry, unless... unless he’s already made so decisions.
Bella was in chaos, she and Senior Quinn were really just friends, how could there be such photos?
