The ringtone rang for a while before connecting, and Bea’s voice was quite low, clearly having sneaked away to answer the call.
"Hello, did you arrive yet?"
"Yes, I’ll reach Creston soon. Did Damian agree to et up with you?"
"I haven’t had a chance to bring it up yet," Bea said. "We have a lot of guests at ho today. My parents have been introducing all sorts of won to my brother nonstop, so I can’t get close enough to him. You’ll have to wait a bit."
Bella Acker’s hand holding the phone stiffened, "Is Damian... on a matchmaking date?"
"Sort of," Bea lowered her voice again, "Soone’s coming over, I can’t talk now." With that, she hung up the phone.
Listening to the dial tone, Bella Acker stood dumbfounded for a while before taking the phone away from her ear.
Was Damian already on a date?
No wonder he wasn’t concerned about news related to her. Has he completely forgotten her?
But it’s only been a few days since they separated, how can he forget so quickly?
Bella Acker lowered her head, staring at her fingers, as tears suddenly fell onto her hand.
Over at Bea’s side, she grinned at the approaching figure after hanging up, "Bro, why are you back so soon? Did you finish the date?"
Damian Sinclair glanced at her lightly, opened the window on the balcony, and stepped out for so air.
Bea put away her phone and strolled over to him. "So, did you see the news online?"
"What news?" Damian took a sip of champagne and turned his head to ask.
"About Bella Acker," she started.
"I don’t want to hear anything about her," Damian interrupted her indifferently before she could finish, "If you have so much free ti, why not help out at the company and assist Grandpa and Dad?"
"How co you’re not working at the company then, but went out and started your own business?" Bea noticed his cold deanor and decided not to pursue Bella Acker’s topic, continuing instead, "Working under Grandpa and Dad’s watch is so restricting, I want to do my own thing."
"What do you want to do?"
"Photography, painting," Bea replied, "Bro, when I hold exhibitions of my paintings and photographs, you must co and support ."
"Alright," Damian responded nonchalantly, gazing into the distance as if pondering sothing deep.
Bea’s eyes glinted mischievously as she said, "Bro, your birthday has turned into a matchmaking party, how about we go out and have so fun this afternoon?"
