Damian walked coldly toward the ticket counter, completely ignoring the amazed glances from those around him.
Bella looked at Damian like this, feeling both proud and inferior.
She was proud of Damian’s excellence, yet felt inferior because of her own ordinariness.
"Idiot, now’s not the ti to lose heart." Bella patted her cheeks, quickly jogging over to stop Damian, offering the Wintergreen Flower she held in her hands in front of him.
"Da... Damian, happy birthday." Bella bowed her head, her hands holding the flower trembling.
"Wow, really? A confession right on the street."
"So thrilling! Damn, take a picture and post it online."
The two n nearby excitedly said as they were about to take a photo with their phones. Damian stepped forward subtly, shielding Bella’s figure between the flower and himself, coldly turning his head to glance at the two n.
His gaze carried a piercing coldness with an intensely intimidating presence.
The two n were startled by his gaze, not daring to take pictures anymore, quickly clutching their phones and walking away.
After they left, Damian coldly said, "Ms. Acker, is this how you want to draw attention?"
"I... I didn’t an to." Bella held the flower, her head lowered, her ears crimson red, not daring to look at Damian’s face at that mont.
She had only thought about giving him a bouquet of Wintergreen Flowers when they t, not expecting to draw others’ attention.
He was so dazzling; even if he did nothing and just walked outside, he would attract eyes. How could she be so stupid to forget this?
Does Damian now think she did this on purpose?
Damian gazed down at the top of her head. If he still didn’t understand Blythe’s purpose for bringing him here, he would truly be an idiot.
"Ms. Acker, I’ve made things very clear. What do you an by doing this now?"
"I... I said I would celebrate your birthday." Bella seed to have finally found her reason for seeing him, her tone beca a bit more firm, "I am here to celebrate your birthday. Damian, happy birthday." She said, once again pushing the flowers towards him.
Damian glanced at her, took the flowers from her hand, and said, "I understand your intentions, that’s all." Saying this, he turned and was about to leave.
"Wait!" Bella grabbed his sleeve, looking up at him, "I have other plans. Can you... will you let finish celebrating your birthday?"
Damian looked down at the fingers clutching his sleeve, expressionless, silent.
Bella’s hand trembled, but her fingers didn’t let go of his sleeve. She summoned the courage to look at him, "Damian, please."
"Ms. Acker..."
Damian moved his lips, wanting to say sothing, but facing her pitiful pleading gaze, his heart suddenly ached, the words unable to co out.
They were caught in a montary stalemate and silence.
Ti slipped by little by little, and Bella’s heart sank bit by bit. She lowered her head, her courage gradually fading, and her fingers clutching his sleeve finally moved and began to release.
Her gathered courage vanished, and she dared not lift her head, fearing to see disdain in his eyes.
"The last ti," Damian said in a deep voice, bypassing her to stride toward the entrance of Joyland.
Bella stood stunned, finally reacting after a mont, imdiately jogging to catch up, "Damian, wait for ."
