The serenade sung in public was her last effort summoned with all her courage.
She confessed her love to him, wanting to share happiness together, but he had no response.
Bella Acker felt sorrowful, and her tears wouldn’t stop.
Fortunately, she was still wearing a dog costu, complete with a dog headpiece, so no one could see her tears.
After the song was finished, Bella Acker stood on the stage for a mont.
She hoped Damian would walk up to the stage and embrace her, yet he remained expressionless, standing still from beginning to end.
His ssage was clear, and she understood.
Bella Acker pressed her lips tightly, bent down to bow to the audience with unfamiliar applauses, and turned away, handing the microphone to the rabbit host beside her.
Bella Acker walked off the stage and hurried backstage.
The young man who lent her the costu was already waiting backstage; upon seeing her, he stepped forward and said, "Miss, can you return the costu to now?"
"I’m sorry, please let wear it a little longer, just a bit more." Bella Acker clutched the dog headpiece tightly, afraid to take it off.
The young man was taken aback and hesitantly asked, "Miss, you... you aren’t crying inside, are you?"
Bella Acker shook her head.
"It’s not that, if you’re crying inside, the tears will dampen the headpiece and I won’t be able to wear it!" The young man was a bit anxious, "Besides, even if you want to cry, don’t hold it in under the headpiece, you’ll suffocate yourself."
As he spoke, he reached and snatched the dog headpiece off Bella Acker’s head.
Tears stread down Bella Acker’s face as she looked at him, the young man perhaps hadn’t expected her to cry so bitterly, he paused for a mont then said, "Should I... should I give it back to you?"
"No need."
Bella Acker’s face was covered in tears along with sweat from dancing, making her bangs and sideburns stick damply to her forehead and face.
She shook her head, took off the dog costu herself, and donned her jacket, quietly saying, "Thank you for lending the costu."
"No... no need, didn’t you give two hundred yuan?" The young man felt sowhat awkward seeing her like this.
He had agreed to lend the costu to Bella Acker because she’d given him two hundred yuan, especially since he only earned seventy yuan a day doing part-ti here.
He just didn’t expect Bella Acker would use it for a confession that ended unsuccessfully, leaving her in tears.
The young man stood awkwardly in place, sowhat wanting to return the two hundred yuan to Bella Acker, yet feeling a bit reluctant.
Bella Acker was very upset at the mont and said nothing further. After handing the costu back to the young man, she headed out.
She was sowhat lost in thought, not noticing a little boy charging towards her.
"Bang!"
The little boy was running so fast, causing quite the impact, and caught off guard, they collided and tumbled to the ground.
"Bonnie!" A middle-aged woman saw the little boy falling to the ground, and worried and anxious, ran forward.
The little boy fell on Bella Acker without injury; however, Bella Acker cushioned underneath took a solid hit, her elbow and bottom hurt from hitting the ground.
The middle-aged woman rushed before them, first reaching out to pull the little boy in, then said, "Miss, I’m sorry, are you hurt?" Extending her hand to help Bella Acker up.
"I’m fine." Bella Acker replied as she sat on the ground, but didn’t let the woman pull her up; she only stared at Damian Sinclair, who had appeared behind her.
