Several children, the oldest only five years old; even if they’re sensible and obedient, there’s still a lot to worry about.
Bea always thought Bella Acker was a person with a good character, but only now discovered that she was quietly doing aningful things.
Much more likable than those celebrities who claim to assist impoverished students in front of the dia.
Bea smiled and said, "What are we doing after lunch?"
"Aren’t you working?" Bella Acker looked at her, a bit surprised.
"I’m off today," Bea said. "Tell , what are we doing?"
"Really? Then I won’t hold back," Bella Acker laughed, sowhat embarrassed, "Today’s weather is nice. The kids have changed out of quite a few clothes, plus sheets and covers, I want to wash them all before leaving. Aunt Sienna’s legs aren’t very agile, and she has rheumatism in her wrists; they hurt if she handles cold water for too long."
"Sure." Bea nodded cheerfully, "Didn’t we bring a washing machine over last night? Using that, it’ll be quicker."
"Yeah, we can put the large items in the washing machine and hand wash the kids’ white clothes and underwear."
"Uh..." Bea hesitated a bit awkwardly, "I’m not sure if I can get them clean by hand washing."
Bella Acker was sowhat surprised, "You’ve never washed clothes yourself, have you?" After saying that, she realized that soone like Bea, a pampered socialite, would never have grown up doing laundry herself.
Bella Acker nodded, "Then help watch the washing machine."
"I can do that."
Aunt Sienna interjected, "Bella, don’t keep yourself busy like a spinning top every ti you co back. Now that Miss Sinclair is here to play, why don’t you go out with her? I can wash the clothes."
"Aunt Sienna, it’s alright." Bella Acker shook her head, "Bella isn’t bothered by such things."
"She’s right, Aunt Sienna. Don’t be so formal with ," Bea said. "Bella will surely be going out of town for filming often, and she won’t have much ti to co back. I’m always in Creston, I’ll be here often to check in, so you don’t need to stand on ceremony."
"Miss Sinclair, it’s really too much to ask of you," Aunt Sienna looked to Bella Acker sowhat anxiously. Having soone like her do work at a place like this didn’t seem right.
"Oh, it’s not..."
Bea wanted to say sothing, but Bella Acker held her hand and laughed, "Let’s stop the bickering. Aunt Sienna, when I’m not around, let Bea help out. I’ll treat her to a al."
"Then... then I’ll need to trouble Miss Sinclair in the future." Aunt Sienna felt a bit uneasy about imposing on her, but as she aged, if sothing happened with the kids while Bella was out of town, having soone there to help would be better.
Bella Acker and Bea exchanged a warm smile.
After breakfast, the two carried the children’s dirty clothes, and several sheets and covers, out to the yard.
Looking at the heap of dirty clothes like a small mountain, Bea couldn’t help but remark, "How long will it take to wash all this? Can it be done in a morning?"
"It can be done," Bella Acker said while categorizing the clothes, "We have to finish this morning because I’ll be returning to the set this afternoon."
"You only took two days off?"
"Yeah," Bella Acker nodded, "The crew is rushing the schedule, and it’s only because the lead actress’ scenes paused that I have a bit more ti; but once her filming resus, I’ll probably need to work overti."
"Is filming really that strenuous?" Bea squatted beside her, "Why didn’t you think about working at my brother’s company before?"
