Bella paused her hand, "Did I wake you up?"
Damian, with a bit of a headache, couldn’t help but squint his eyes, "No."
"You’re already starting to cool down from the fever. I’ll apply an ice pack, and you can sleep a bit more." Bella said as she took so ice to apply to his palm.
Damian’s body was hot, and the ice on his palm felt just right, cool and soothing.
He turned his head to look at her and noticed her eyes were a bit red. He frowned, "Were you crying just now?"
"Mm." Bella said, "Aunt Sienna just gave my parents’ photos, so I got a bit emotional, but I’m fine now."
"Your parents?" Damian frowned and asked, "Where are they?"
"Aunt Sienna said they passed away twenty years ago." Bella lowered her gaze, "Later, Aunt Sienna and I will go to the cetery to visit my parents. You stay here to rest and help look after Ethan and the others."
"I’ll go with you." Damian said, trying to get up.
Bella pushed him back onto the bed with an eye roll, "I haven’t forgiven you yet, and you want to et my parents? Dream on."
"So, are you planning to keep hidden like a treasure?" Damian raised an eyebrow.
"Pfft, even if this is a treasure house, you’re not the treasure, stop flattering yourself." Bella patted him, "Give your other palm."
Damian cooperatively extended his palm, "We’ve kissed, you’ve touched, and you still haven’t forgiven ?"
"That was you kissing and touching ." Bella instinctively retorted, only to realize what she said, and her face instantly turned red.
Damian watched as her face flushed and couldn’t resist the urge to pinch her cheek.
And he really did.
Damian reached out to pinch Bella’s cheek, feeling the softness of her skin and the slight warmth of his fingertips seed scorching, making Bella’s cheeks even redder.
Damian finally said, "Then you can kiss and touch ."
"Who... who wants to kiss and touch you!" Bella, her face red, glared at him fiercely, "You’re sick and still have the energy to be a rogue, you old rogue!"
Damian helplessly said, "Bella, I’m only eight years older than you."
"Still an old rogue!" Bella snorted twice, retrieving the ice pack, "Aunt Sienna and I are going to the cetery. Get so sleep. Don’t forget to check on Ethan and the others when you wake up. As for lunch, we definitely won’t be back in ti, just order so delivery for them. They’re not picky, just nothing too spicy."
"You really won’t let go with you?"
"No discussion." Bella picked up the ice pack, "When I forgive you one day, I’ll take you to et my parents."
Damian sighed, "Then comfort before you go."
"Comfort for what?" Bella was about to leave, but stopped when she heard him.
Damian pointed to his lips, "Your lips were swollen from a bug bite earlier, now the ’bug’ wants you to bite back."
Bella’s face turned red again as she glared at him, "Bite yourself."
With that, she picked up the ice pack and left.
Honestly! He was clearly sick, looked unwell, and yet he didn’t forget to tease her.
She was no good either, blushing every ti, how embarrassing.
Bella pouted, throwing away the unused ice, and Aunt Sienna had also inford Ethan and the others. She even cooked rice for them with a rice cooker, so they could eat by themselves at noon.
Aunt Sienna glanced towards the attic, "Bella, are you ready?"
