"If he’s really as good as you say, I’ll be relieved. I’m just worried that love is blind, so I’d better assess him further." Aunt Sienna was sowhat satisfied with Damian Sinclair, but still planned to keep observing.
Only when she was thoroughly satisfied would she feel at ease marrying Bella to him.
"Alright, alright, let Aunt Sienna assess him. Once Aunt Sienna is satisfied, I’ll forgive him." Bella Acker laughed, simply trying to keep Aunt Sienna happy.
Aunt Sienna’s eyes crinkled with laughter as she patted Ethan’s head and said, "Bella bought pudding for you all, go to the dining hall and eat it."
"Wow, I love pudding the most!" Ethan and the other kids jumped with joy, "Bella, quickly give us so."
The kids all gathered around Bella Acker.
Bella Acker pinched their cheeks with a smile, "Don’t rush, I bought a lot today, you can eat them tomorrow and the day after too."
"Yay!" The kids were so happy they could almost faint, grabbing Bella Acker’s hand and running towards the dining hall.
Damian Sinclair watched her joking with the kids, holding their hands as they walked to the dining hall, a warmth spreading across his face.
They would also have their own kids in the future, and she would play with them and take care of them like this...
"Mr. Sinclair, thank you so much for today." Aunt Sienna stepped forward and said, "Your health isn’t great right now, yet you still helped us watch over Ethan and the others, it was really too much trouble for you."
"They were well-behaved and sensible, I didn’t really do anything." Damian Sinclair stood up and said, "Aunt Sienna, you’re Bella’s family, so you’re naturally also my elder, there’s no need to be so formal with ."
"Haha, so etiquette still needs to be observed." Aunt Sienna said, "Mr. Sinclair, I have a rather bold question, I hope you don’t mind asking."
"Go ahead." Despite Damian Sinclair’s expressionless face, his tone was calm and respectful.
"You’ve been with our Bella for quite a few years, haven’t you?"
"Yes." Damian Sinclair nodded.
"Have you thought about when you’ll marry our Bella?" Aunt Sienna asked, her eyes fixed on his face, trying to find any hint of his thoughts.
But unfortunately, she wasn’t particularly adept at reading people, and Damian Sinclair rarely showed emotions on his face, so she couldn’t glean anything after looking for a while.
Damian Sinclair paused for a mont and did not imdiately answer her question.
Aunt Sienna noticed his hesitation and felt a bit displeased.
How wonderful Bella is, yet after dating for so many years, he never thought about marrying her? Did he look down on Bella’s background, just intending to have a casual relationship, never considering marrying her?
How infuriating.
Aunt Sienna wasn’t one to hide her feelings, and the smile on her face vanished instantly.
Damian Sinclair saw her displeasure and understood why, but so things couldn’t just be done on a whim.
"I have thought about a future with Bella, but I haven’t specifically planned when to get married." Damian Sinclair said, "I know my silence just now upset you, but I didn’t want to deceive you with platitudes because you are Bella’s family."
What does it an to not deceive with pretty words because you are Bella’s family?
Cunning! That phrase was clearly sweet talk ant to coax the elderly.
