Damian held the doll and asked her, "Why?"
Bella Acker replied earnestly, "Because if every ti a crew wraps up, I give a doll like this as a nto, I can eventually give them all to you. That way, you’ll own every role I’ve ever played."
She spoke unintentionally, but he listened intently.
Damian had originally planned to start the car, but suddenly paused and stopped.
"Sweetheart, are you confessing to , hoping I receive every version of you?" Damian tilted his head and raised an eyebrow at her.
She initially just thought that giving the character dolls she once played to Damian was very aningful, without considering any deeper significance.
But hearing Damian say it like that now, it did seem to carry a layer of that aning.
Bella’s face turned bright red, and she stubbornly said, "You’re so thoughtful, I... I didn’t think that far!"
"Really?" Damian suddenly leaned in closer, and when he spoke, his breath was warm and ticklish against her neck.
Bella instinctively shrank to the side, but he reached out and held her chin.
"What are you doing?" Bella blinked at him, blushing, "What if soone sees us?"
"You’ve confessed, so naturally I must respond." Damian said, leaning in to kiss her lips.
It had been over a month since they’d seen each other, and both physically and emotionally, they missed one another.
Bella gently retreated a bit, then closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his waist, tilting her chin to kiss him back.
Their lips intertwined, exchanging breaths.
It was a long and passionate kiss, and Bella nearly ran out of breath before he finally released her.
"Phew." Bella exhaled deeply, almost thinking she might drown in that kiss.
"Lack of exercise." Damian said in a hoarse voice, using his thumb to wipe away the hint of silver moisture left on her lips.
Bella rolled her eyes at him, "What does that have to do with exercise? Even a scuba diver can’t go half an hour without breathing."
"Ha." Damian chuckled softly, reaching over to undo her ponytail.
"What are you doing?" Bella tried to protect her hair, but it was too late; it had already co loose.
Her hair was of great quality, fine and smooth, nearly waist-long.
"It looks better down." Damian’s fingers ran through her hair, finally resting at her cheek, gently caressing.
Bella blushed once again, whispering, "Let’s get going, Aunt Sienna is waiting for us to return."
"Alright." Damian said, "Should we stay at the orphanage tonight or go back to the apartnt?"
"I don’t know." Bella was also conflicted.
She really wanted to go on a date and see a movie with Damian, but she also wanted to spend more ti with Aunt Sienna and Ethan. After all, her work would only beco busier and she’d have less ti to be with them.
"We’ll decide after we get back." Damian said, finally starting the car and pulling away slowly.
Bella nodded and suddenly grinned, "Damian, do you know how much I got paid this ti?"
Seeing her eyes sparkling with happiness, Damian asked while driving, "How much did you get?"
"Guess."
"Fifty thousand?" Damian intentionally guessed lower to make her happier.
Bella shook her head, her big eyes curving with laughter, "Wrong, wrong, guess again."
"A hundred thousand?"
