The textbook in Bella Acker’s hand slipped away, and she paused for a mont before saying, "Just two problems, tasks I left from the car ride."
"You’re not allowed to do even two." Archer Quinn placed her textbook aside and pressed her shoulders to guide her to sit by the bed, commanding, "Lie down and sleep now. If you insist on doing howork instead of sleeping, I’ll stay up with you."
He was so exhausted from acting and rushed over for the program; there’s no way Bella could really let him stay up late with her, so she ultimately had to compromise. Besides, she hadn’t slept the previous night, and after rushing over, she had fild a whole day, so she was indeed a little tired.
"Okay." Bella nodded, "Senior Quinn, you should sleep early too, goodnight."
"Goodnight." Archer Quinn tried hard to restrain his impulse to lean down for a kiss on the corner of her mouth, he said goodnight with a gentle smile and lay back on his bed.
Bella lay on the bed, checked her phone for the ti, it was already past midnight, around twelve.
In the mountain, the phone signal becos particularly poor, sotis available, sotis not. She initially wanted to browse the internet for a while, but shook her phone a couple of tis to no avail, so she simply set it aside and closed her eyes to sleep.
It was her first ti sleeping in the sa room as a man other than Damian, so she felt sowhat uneasy. Yet, due to work requirents, the entire house only had two rooms, so there was no other option. Thankfully, it was Senior Quinn. If it were soone unfamiliar, she certainly wouldn’t dare sleep tonight.
Bella lay in bed without daring to move, afraid that her turning might disturb Archer Quinn.
The situation was similar for Archer on the other bed. Wanting to get closer to her was, for him, a different kind of tornt.
The mountain night was silent, and despite them deliberately slowing their breaths, sharing a room ant they could sense each other’s presence.
Archer could feel his heart pounding non-stop, worried that if this continued, he might suffer a heart attack from the stress.
Archer opened his eyes and tentatively asked in a soft voice, "Bella, are you asleep?"
"Not yet," Bella replied, "I have trouble getting used to new places."
"Don’t you have trouble sleeping when you go out to film?" Archer asked.
"I get used to it after a day or two." Bella chuckled, "Senior Quinn, can’t sleep, huh? Why don’t you tell about acting then."
"Silly girl, still thinking about work during rest?"
"Anyway, I can’t sleep." Bella flipped over to lie on her stomach, turning her head towards Archer, and said in a low voice, "I heard Director Simons has very high standards for acting skills. I’m worried I might not et the expectations and delay the film progress with constant NGs (No Good takes)."
"It’s not as strict as you think." Archer sighed and said, "I actually think you expect too much from yourself."
"Learning more is never wrong." Bella didn’t feel she demanded too much; she just wanted to improve herself.
"Acting isn’t as hard as people think." Archer turned sideways to her direction and said tenderly, "The best acting cos from life’s reality. Make the audience feel like you’re not acting. Consider the reactions you get when you interact with others in everyday situations..."
Archer’s voice beca soft and gentle, explaining the nuances of acting to Bella. Initially, Bella responded with a couple of questions, but gradually there was no sound coming from her side.
