Hanging up the phone, Bella Acker put her phone away and pressed her hand against the bloody gash on Archer Quinn’s head.
From the mont she t Archer Quinn, he had always appeared so refined, gentle, and graceful in her eyes, as if he could smile and hold up even if the sky were falling.
But now, he lay lifeless on the ground.
While covering his bleeding head with her hand, she gently patted his cheek with her fingers, crying out: "Senior Quinn, wake up, you can’t fall asleep. Senior Quinn..." she called his na, tears plop-plopped onto his face.
Whether he felt her tears or heard her call, Archer Quinn struggled to open his eyes, "Bel... Bella..."
"Senior Quinn!" Bella Acker looked up at him in shock, tears dripping down her chin onto the corner of his mouth. Seeing him awake, Bella cried even harder, "Wahhh... Senior, you can’t sleep, if you do, you’ll never wake up again."
"Alright, I... I won’t... sleep, you... you don’t... cry." Seeing her cry so sadly made Archer Quinn feel heartache yet relieved at the sa ti.
She’s okay, thank goodness.
"Okay, I won’t cry." Bella Acker wiped her tears away hastily with the back of her hand, saying, "Senior Quinn, hang in there, I’ve already called 120, they’ll be here soon. Just hold on, don’t sleep."
"Okay." Archer Quinn was obviously exhausted, and while he agreed, he closed his eyes for a mont but seed afraid she’d worry, managed to force them open a bit again.
Bella Acker saw his face covered in blood, tears welled up again, crying, "It’s all my fault. If I wasn’t walking so fast, you wouldn’t have gotten hurt saving like this. Senior Quinn, you have to be okay."
"Silly girl..." Archer Quinn wanted to say more to comfort her but lacked the strength, even just moving his lips and opening his eyes was consuming all the energy he had left.
"Woo woo woo..." The ambulance siren approached, arriving shortly after, and the dical staff imdiately jumped out with a stretcher.
"Miss, please step aside." The doctor pushed Bella Acker away, checked Archer Quinn’s condition quickly before signaling to the nearby dical staff, "Lift him onto the ambulance for ergency care."
"Okay." Two dical staff promptly lifted Archer Quinn onto the stretcher, taking him to the ambulance for ergency treatnt.
Perhaps soone nearby had called the police, and traffic police had already arrived by this ti. Bella Acker was about to follow onto the ambulance but was stopped by the traffic police.
"Miss, could you briefly give us a statent?"
Bella Acker shook her head, "We were walking on the sidewalk when the car suddenly rushed up, my friend got heavily injured trying to save , I must go to the hospital with him."
The traffic police took note and said, "Alright, please leave your phone number here, we’ll contact you regarding further matters."
"Okay." Bella Acker gave her phone number and imdiately followed them onto the ambulance to leave.
Vivian Norris was protected by the airbag and had only fainted briefly at first, and now she had woken up.
The traffic police pried open the car door and rescued her from inside, she was thoroughly stunned.
"Drunk driving?" The traffic police detected the strong sll of alcohol on her, his face turned grim.
"I’m sorry." Vivian Norris’s legs trembled, she could only dumbly apologize.
