Bella Acker felt a hollow ache in her heart; all she wanted now was to escape from here quickly.
"Wait!" Damian Sinclair suddenly sat up and grabbed her wrist. "It’s not what you think."
Bella turned to look at him, "Not what I think? Is it that Mrs. Sinclair didn’t ask you to marry Cecilia Lynch, or is it that you didn’t sleep with Cecilia Lynch?"
Damian watched tears welling up in her eyes, unsure of how to respond.
Because his mother did ntion him marrying Cecilia Lynch, and the day he woke up drunk, Cecilia Lynch was in his bed, but he couldn’t rember what happened that night.
Damian frowned in frustration; the original issues hadn’t been resolved, and now new problems erged, which weren’t easily fixable misunderstandings.
Bella gave a bitter smile and reached out to pry his fingers off her wrist. "Let go!"
"No!" Damian said coldly, "I won’t let go!"
"You won’t let go? Then what should I do?" Bella’s tears brimd over, "Your mother doesn’t like , no matter how I try to please her, it’s useless. You won’t break ties with your family for , and I don’t want to make trouble with your relatives. What can I do? I can only wrong myself, repeatedly telling myself to trust you, believe that you can definitely find a solution, believe that you won’t give up. When you asked to wait, I waited obediently, not daring to disturb you, fearing that you’d be torn. When I saw Bella’s text, I just wanted to fly to you imdiately, my heart wouldn’t rest. Bella, with tears in her eyes, looked at Damian accusingly and continued, "I ca. But what awaited was your sarcasm and the news, from another woman flaunting to my face, that you two had been to bed. I so desperately wanted you to tell she was lying, that nothing happened between you two. Even if it was self-deception, as long as you said it, I would believe you. What was the outco then?"
Damian frowned, "It’s not what you think, Cecilia and I..."
"Enough! Damian, it’s really enough." Bella shook her head with tears, "Now, every ti I close my eyes, I think of you being with Cecilia, and I can’t be as magnanimous as others. If it were you, could you pretend nothing happened knowing I slept with soone else?"

Bella looked at him upon hearing this.
Wait for him, wait for him again. Does he know the feeling of waiting like a death sentence? Clearly knowing the hope is dim, yet still self-deceived.
Bella lowered her eyelids, gently shaking her head, "Damian, do you know? I’m so tired."
