The two stood facing each other, separated by a car’s width.
The assistant already knew their relationship was unusual, and was quietly standing by the side, not daring to speak.
Damian Sinclair furrowed his handso, sword-like eyebrows, took a few long strides to stand in front of Bella Acker, domineeringly grabbed her wrist, and began to walk her away.
"Damian Sinclair, I said it’s not necessary." Bella Acker, lacking strength, couldn’t break free and was forcibly dragged toward the hospital.
"You may not find it necessary," Damian said coldly. "But if sothing unexpected happens, won’t I still be responsible for you?"
Bella Acker froze at his words, a pang hitting her heart. "Rest assured, President Sinclair, whatever happens to , it has nothing to do with you."
"That’s for the best." Damian spat out the words through clenched teeth, his eyes seething with a barely contained rage that seed like it could incinerate Bella Acker in an instant.
Bella Acker lowered her head, no longer struggling, letting him lead her into the hospital.
The assistant had already gone ahead to register for a visit to the oral departnt and now held the ticket, guiding the two to find the doctor.
This was just a hospital in a small county, yet there were quite many patients.
When they arrived, there were several patients waiting outside the doctor’s office.
Damian’s commanding presence was palpable, exerting an invisible pressure even though he did nothing.
An elderly woman in front of them chuckled, saying, "Young folks, you seem to be in a hurry. Are you pressed for ti? I’m not, you can go ahead."
This kind of situation was naturally sothing for the assistant to handle first.
The assistant imdiately responded with a friendly smile, "We are indeed in a hurry. Ma’am, thank you so much."
"Oh, it’s nothing," the woman laughed heartily, stepping aside.
Two other people in front also made way, saying, "We’re not in a rush, you go first."
"It’s so warm-hearted of our fellow locals, thank you all so much." The assistant thanked everyone warmly, making a great impression with his pleasant manner.
Bella Acker nodded to everyone, "Thank you all."
Damian said nothing, expressionlessly pulling her in front of the doctor.
The doctor, seeing Damian’s imposing manner, knew he wasn’t an ordinary person and was montarily stunned before asking, "What seems to be the problem?"
Bella Acker’s face suddenly blushed, slightly embarrassed, "I bit the inside of my cheeks on both sides."
The doctor stood up, grabbed a flashlight and a dical swab from the side, and said, "Open your mouth, let take a look."
Bella Acker obeyed, and after the doctor looked inside, he said, "It’s nothing serious, buy so lozenges and stick them to the area, it’ll be fine by tomorrow. Avoid eating spicy food today, or it might sting a bit."
"Alright, thank you, doctor," Bella Acker thanked him.
At this mont, Damian finally spoke, "Doctor, doesn’t she need dication now?"
"No need," the doctor said. "The human oral cavity is free of bacteria, and the wound isn’t prone to infection, healing quickly. For a minor bite like this, you really don’t have to worry about it; it will heal naturally."
Bella Acker blushed with embarrassnt, feeling like she was wasting dical resources by coming for sothing trivial. People must think she’s so delicate.
"Understood, thank you." Damian remained unfazed, and told his assistant, "Go buy the lozenges the doctor ntioned."
The assistant nodded and left, while the elderly woman standing to the left chuckled quietly and winked at Bella Acker, whispering, "Your husband treats you so well. He’s concerned about you even when you just bite your cheek a bit. If it were my husband, I could probably bite through my entire cheek and he still wouldn’t care."
