The after-effects of the red wine had completely taken over, causing Bella to feel dizzy and unsteady on her feet, her mind in a haze.
The girl supporting her also seed to be struggling, her face no longer showing the previous smile, only disdain remaining.
"Hmph, a newcor who knows nothing. I wonder what Vivi saw in you to be helping you," the girl comnted with so jealousy, glancing at the half-dropped head and drunken eyes of Bella.
Bella’s features were delicate and petite, indeed fitting the cute and pretty type. However, in an entertainnt world full of beauties, such looks weren’t particularly stunning. The only thing that set her apart might be the innocent quality exuding from her.
The girl’s eyes flickered as she asked, "Ms. Acker, you landed the role of Hera. Did you sleep with soone for it? The director? Producer? Or the investor?"
"Hmm?" Bella’s mind was a complete ss, unable to think at all, and she looked at the girl with squinted eyes, not understanding what she was saying.
"And this ti? Vivi asked to take you to President Lloyd’s room. Is it because you need a role in a new play?" Clearly, the girl had mistaken Bella for a newcor who relied on the casting couch to advance.
That’s why she thought Vivian was helping Bella rather than harming her.
"Role?" Bella tilted her head in confusion.
Seeing her so drunk, the girl was speechless, "Forget it, forget it. You’re so drunk, asking is pointless." With that, she no longer spoke, guiding Bella into the elevator to the guest rooms on the third floor.
In the private room, Sharon waited for a long ti without seeing Bella return and began to worry, "Elaine, cover for here for a bit. I’ll go check on Bella."
"Yeah, she’s been gone a long ti. Check if she fell asleep in the restroom," Elaine nodded.
Sharon left the private room and headed straight to the restroom, but after searching, Bella was nowhere to be found. Where could she have gone?
"Waiter." As Sharon ca out, she happened to see the waiter who had escorted Bella to the restroom and imdiately called out to her.
"Hello, is there sothing you need?" The waitress approached and asked politely.
"The girl you took to the restroom earlier, did she leave from this side?" Their private room was on the ground floor, and the waiter was stationed outside the corner of the private room area, so if Bella left the restaurant, she should have seen it.
The waitress recalled for a mont and shook her head, "No. That lady seed drunk. Could she have fallen asleep in the restroom?"
"Are you sure you didn’t see anyone leave?"
"Yes, I’m sure." The waitress nodded confidently.
Sharon frowned. Bella was drunk and couldn’t have run around on her own; could soone have taken her away?
Alard, Sharon asked, "Does your restaurant have security caras?"
The waitress seed embarrassed by the question, "We do, but... but they’re mostly for decoration; only the lobby caras work."
"Please show the recordings from your lobby caras. I’m worried my friend might have been taken away since she was drunk."
Realizing the seriousness of the situation, the waitress nodded imdiately, "Alright, I’ll take you to our manager."
"Thank you." Sharon now felt deeply regretful; if she had known this would happen, she would have accompanied Bella to the restroom earlier.
As the two of them headed out, they bumped into two others.
Sharon was taken aback, "President Sinclair?"
