"How's it going out there?" Katherine asked, her voice relaxed as Cassian worked his hands over her shoulders. She looked completely at ease, a soft smile on her face, sitting down while Cassian, for the first ti, used the full body massage using the proper techniques.
"We don't hear much stuck in here," she added casually, popping open a few buttons of her shirt like it was the most natural thing in the world. "Probably worried people will freak out if they knew what's actually happening."
"It's going fine," Cassian said, trying not to lose focus as his hands moved lower. "There's so fighting at the front lines. It was just monsters before, but now so cult mbers have started showing up too... so, you know, getting more festive."
His eyes wandered for a second to the second bed across the room, where a woman sat silently reading a book. Katherine had two beds now—one for her, and one for her very own personal bodyguard.And what a bodyguard.
Taller, broader, and looking like she could bench-press him with one hand, the woman had smooth brown skin, short dark hair that frad her fierce, sharp features, and gray eyes that practically glowed against her dark lashes. She looked both terrifying and weirdly majestic at the sa ti, completely focused on her book like none of this was her problem.
Katherine caught him sneaking a glance and grinned. "Don't worry," she said, amused. "Ravess might've been sent by my dear mother, but she only answers to . She won't report anything back... unless you start doing sothing really embarrassing."
"Really?" Cassian asked, flashing a grin. Without waiting, he slid his hand down her shirt, squeezing her breasts firmly. "Then I can do this and she won't say anything?"
"Nghh... yeah, she won't..." Katherine moaned, the sound loud enough to echo around the room.Cassian froze, glancing at the bodyguard. To his relief—and slight amusent—Ravess didn't even lift her head from her book, acting like this was all perfectly normal.
Feeling bold, he pushed both hands deeper under her shirt, squeezing each of her heavy breasts, drawing another loud moan from her. "Why didn't my lady say so earlier?" Cassian teased, leaning down to suck gently on her ear, making Katherine squirm and let out a soft chuckle.
"She won't say anything... but that doesn't an we can have sex in front of her, dummy..." she said between breathy laughs.
"Well..." Cassian said, fingers teasing her nipples through the fabric, "can't we just send her outside for a bit? Then nobody's watching."
To his disappointnt, Katherine shook her head, giving a slightly bitter smile. "That's the one thing she won't listen to, no matter what I say..."
Cassian looked a little disappointed but didn't push it, instead smirking, "My lady can at least take off her clothes, right? You need a proper massage," Cassian said, eyeing her slightly trembling legs. He knew he had made them shake for very different reasons before, but this ti, it was clearly from pain. Without waiting for her reply, and barely listening to whatever Katherine was saying, Cassian glanced once at Ravess—who was still buried in her book—and continued, "Alright, let's get you onto the bed first."
Before Katherine could protest, Cassian scooped her up into his arms. Startled, she let out a small yelp, finally drawing Ravess's attention.
Cassian didn't notice — or really care — if Ravess was watching. After all, he wasn't technically doing anything wrong. He was just taking Katherine's clothes off... for a massage. Totally professional. Probably.
Unbeknownst to him though, Ravess kael, who hadn't been paying much attention earlier, was now staring at them with wide eyes. As a guard, she knew about Katherine's injuries, so at first she had just assud it was a normal massage session. But now?
'What the hell is he doing?' she thought, watching Cassian gently lay Katherine on the bed and start unbuttoning the rest of her shirt.
Even more baffling was Katherine herself — smiling up at him like this was just another part of her daily routine. No yelling, no protests, not even an awkward cough. Just... smiling.
Ravess wasn't sure if she should intervene... or start questioning her own sanity.
Sure, Ravess was just Katherine's bodyguard, but she knew Katherine was married. How could a married woman be so casually naked in front of another man? Ravess herself couldn't even imagine undressing in front of her own husband without getting blush like ripe tomoto — and here Katherine was, acting like it was afternoon tea ti.
'The Clan Head would lose her damn mind if she ever found out about this,' Ravess thought, practically grinding her teeth. Part of her was tempted to go straight to the Clan Head and report it. But no — she had taken an oath. An oath to protect Katherine, keep her secrets, and follow every order... except for one — never leaving her side, no matter what.
This ant she had to stay and watch whatever was about to unfold, unable to do anything unless Cassian tried to harm Katherine. Only then could she intervene.
And things only got worse when she watched — in horror — as that servant she barely knew unhooked Katherine's bra too, casually exposing her very generous chest. Ravess turned away quickly, her face heating up.
'What the hell is happening? Why is she letting him do this?!' she panicked internally.
She had thought it was just a massage — you know, the kind done over clothes — like how one of the maids usually did it when Cassian wasn't around. This? This looked like the start of sothing she definitely didn't want to be in the room for.
But leaving Katherine alone? It wasn't just about duty. Ravess had taken another oath — one directly to Katherine's mother — swearing never to leave her side, no matter the circumstances. So, to her misfortune, she had no choice but to stay here and witness this... very suspicious massage session, given by a "servant" she was half convinced had so mind-controlling spell over Katherine.
She just prayed it stayed a massage and didn't turn into sothing that would scar her for life.
Cassian glanced over at her again, clearly noticing her stiff, red-faced awkwardness. Smirking, he said, "Mrs kael, it's just a massage. If you're uncomfortable, you can leave, you know."
Still facing stubbornly away from them, Ravess shook her head quickly. "I'm fine," she muttered, sounding anything but fine.
"If you're gonna stay," Katherine chid in casually — as if she wasn't lying half naked in front of both of them — "you might as well help him. Get so massage oil from the bathroom."
Ravess could only nod stiffly, wondering how her life had gotten to this point... while Cassian, anwhile, cheerfully started sliding Katherine's pants down without a hint of sha.
