These ghost skulls that could ignore material collision were excellent as eyes. Often, from a great distance, they could already detect the traces of the Ghost-Eye Spiders.

This provided trendous convenience for the two during their hunting task.

Fortunately, this Ghost-Eye Cave never saw daylight, and the yin-cold attribute spiritual qi here was abundant. To them, it was as comfortable as returning ho.

Swarms of spiders were difficult to kill, so the two mostly targeted solitary ones or small groups of two or three.

In just half an hour, they collected twenty Ghost-Eyes and five complete spider corpses.

“The number is sufficient. Next, we need to find a first-rank peak Ghost-Eye Spider.”

“Mm, I’ll trouble Brother Situ.”

“It’s nothing.”

Aside from the invisible Ghost-Eye Spider they had encountered upon entry, the ones they t afterward were much more normal, with only one or two possessing such special ability.

This situation made them quietly sigh in relief. As long as every Ghost-Eye Spider did not possess such ability, dealing with them was still manageable.

Inside the cave, their path gradually descended, and many interconnected passages appeared. Occasionally, these passages connected to other Ghost-Eye Caves.

When that happened, the spiders belonging to two different colonies would fight.

At such tis, disciples needed to intervene, at the very least sealing up the connecting spots, then applying talismans or restrictions for suppression. It was quite troubleso.

“It is almost midday now. We must leave the cave before the hour nightfall. This Illumination Pearl not only provides light but also points the way back outside.”

While walking, Situ Hong suddenly spoke without context, yet Wang Yu understood his aning.

The anomaly in Ghost-Eye Cave No. 5 suggested that so unknown treasure might exist here. With only two people, division would be difficult. Since the required quota was already completed, they would split up.

Perhaps they could each find the source of the spider mutations.

Wang Yu went along with it.

“In that case, why not split up, Brother? There is no need to dispute over the Ghost-Eyes.”

“Agreed.”

Situ Hong nodded, shaking the Hundred Ghost Banner in his hand. The ghost skulls outside all returned and, following his command, went toward the passage on the left.

In his view, with such superior detection thods, he had a greater chance than Wang Yu of finding the source of the Ghost-Eye Spiders’ mutation. Normal spider hunting was nothing, but if a great opportunity appeared, keeping it to oneself was the correct choice.

Seeing him leave, Wang Yu shook his head and entered the passage on the right. With a flick of his finger, several strands of spiritual power condensed into an ice crystal embedded in the wall. Leaving behind a trace of divine sense within, he quickly moved forward.

Soon, after confirming he was far away, he also placed the Illumination Pearl back into his storage bag. His vision sank into darkness, leaving only the faint glow of two waning moons within his eyes.

Just like Situ Hong, Wang Yu also desired sole possession.

The Night Concealnt mantra naturally activated, transforming him into a shadow as he swiftly traversed the tunnels. Along the way, he ignored all the Ghost-Eye Spiders he encountered.

He rely marked the positions of those first-rank peak Ghost-Eye Spiders, planning to deal with them later. His priority was to map out the cave’s interior terrain. With the cultivation of the beasts here, even a second-rank Spider Queen would find it difficult to see through the Night Concealnt.

In this darkness, he moved as though swimming in water.

It took nearly three hours to map the cavern terrain. Unfortunately, he did not find the Spider Queen’s nest. This indicated that Situ Hong’s side might be different. If possible, Wang Yu actually wanted to test himself against a second-rank Ghost-Eye Spider.

A pity.

However, he did uncover so secrets regarding the invisible spiders.

It was a vertical tunnel, with faint white light seeping down from above. This should connect to the mountaintop of Spider Mountain.

Although described as vertical, the tunnel curved slightly. Inside, spiderwebs covered every inch, and massive spiders the size of half a man clung upon them.

There were at least a dozen, their strengths uneven, yet they all shared one distinct trait: they could turn invisible.

Pressed against the cave wall, Wang Yu carefully made his way through the dense spider webs and gazed down the vertical passage. After a brief mont of thought, he acted decisively.

He ford a spiritual seal with his hands and struck toward the ground.

As surging spiritual power poured forth, a thick layer of ice split the passage into upper and lower sections. More than a dozen spiders were separated, and Wang Yu seized the opportunity to leap out from the shadows.

He raised his head and spat fire.

A blazing surge erupted.

A pale grayish-white fla wrapped in a layer of blue erupted from his lips. It looked like a simple breath, yet carried terrifying extres of cold and heat.

The spiders were caught off guard. One after another they fell, their legs flailing wildly. Only a few first-rank peak Ghost Spiders spat out dense shadow spikes.

This was a bloodline technique of the demonic beasts, an innate ability.

Those solid shadow spikes pierced through the cold flas, but by the ti they neared him they had already been greatly weakened.

Wang Yu urged his Blackscale Shield, which thudded heavily as it blocked them all. With his right hand forming the sword seal, his perfected Ice Sword Technique transford from ten into two, each sword’s quality greatly enhanced.

This was not the sa as simple enlargent. It was an overlapping technique, refining toward compressed qualitative change. It was his secondary developnt of a perfected technique, allowing him to unleash different effects depending on the environnt.

The greatly enhanced ice swords, locked on by both divine sense and eyesight, slashed swiftly. In only a few strikes, charred corpses fell all around.

He had no ti to deal with them. Stuffing the remains into his storage pouch, Wang Yu looked down. Beneath the thick ice layer that blocked the passage, many Ghost Spiders had already gathered.

Spiritual power surged.

The ice under his feet opened a finger-wide hole on its own. Wang Yu used the sa trick again, unleashing his Fla-Spitting Technique with sudden force through the hole.

The slender fla roared through the three-ter tunnel before exploding violently. Miserable squeals echoed, growing in number, and he could now see the scene below.

After waiting for three breaths, the ice layer fully lted. Two sharp ice swords, reinforced five tis through compressed refinent, slashed downward as Wang Yu descended.

Within a few breaths, he landed safely.

Imdiately after, a mass of corpses tumbled down, surrounding him in heaps. The spider remains were disgusting, but Wang Yu collected them all before finally having the chance to survey his surroundings.

The area below was completely different from the Ghost Eye Cavern above. It was more like the dwelling of so massive creature. Dark scales shed from its body still clung to the walls.

In the corners lay piles of weathered, unknown bones. This clearly was not the way spiders fed. Although many webs now filled the space, their color was fresh, showing that the Ghost Spiders had not been here for long.

After searching carefully, Wang Yu discovered in a nest of dry grass a skeleton seven or eight ters long. It was tightly wrapped in spider silk, with hand-sized baby spiders crawling across it.

Wang Yu casually killed them with a few sword strikes.

Walking along from the tail to the skull, his gaze suddenly hardened.

With his ice sword he cut away the webs. At the skull he uncovered a bone fragnt inscribed with mysterious symbols, emanating unusual ripples.

“This is a Treasure Bone…

“A Hidden Dragon’s Treasure Bone?”

Treasure Bones were produced when demonic beasts with powerful bloodlines perished.
