"All in is a kind of wisdom!"

Yu Jin didn’t hesitate any longer and made a decisive gesture.

[Wasteland Points -2,000,000]

[You acquired a resource: The legacy left by a certain Tier Eight Powerful Being]

[Notice: Unlockable after reaching Tier Eight. Currently Tier Seven, unable to access.]

[Current Wasteland Points: 1,065,000]

The original three million points had dropped by more than half in an instant, making Yu Jin feel a pang of regret.

But...

A gambler’s spirit ans gambling till the end—nothing ventured, nothing gained!

What if this mystery box contained the Tier Eight Powerful Being’s breakthrough energy? He might just jump straight to Tier Eight Limitless Perfection in one shot!

Yu Jin brushed the thought aside and looked at the other five products.

[Tier Seven Energy Crystal]

[Price: 100,000 Points]

[Evaluation: A pure and safe Energy Source, an extraordinary treasure countless High-tier Evolvers yearn for!]

The price of 100,000 points was a bit steep, but Yu Jin didn’t hesitate and bought it directly.

Although today’s trip to the chemical plant netted him five Tier Seven Crystals, it was still far from enough for breaking through to Tier Eight.

Since Tier Seven Crystals appeared in the shop, Yu Jin saw no reason to pass them up.

"Speaking of which..."

"As my Tier and Points increase, the value of items refreshed in this shop gets higher and higher."

Yu Jin muttered to himself and casually bought three of the remaining four products in one go.

The three items were one each of ’Tier Four’, ’Tier Five’, and ’Tier Six’ Crystals.

The prices were 10,000, 20,000, and 40,000 Points respectively.

[Current Wasteland Points: 895,000]

After that—

Yu Jin’s gaze shifted to the final item.

This product was a bit special...

[Resource: Ancient Texts of the Old Civilization (Fragnt)]

[Evaluation: Ancient texts left behind by a vanished civilization on Wasteland Planet numbered A3; may contain important information—or absolutely nothing.]

[Price: 5,000,000 Points]

"Wasteland Planet, number A3?"

Yu Jin’s attention was imdiately hooked by these words.

Swoosh—

With a thought, two fragnts of map appeared in his hand.

Both maps were made from shabby parchnt, each marked with hundreds of Refuge Cities and Infected Body/Mutant Beast Nests.

The two maps pointed to regions A307 and A308 respectively.

"I think I misunderstood before. I thought it was A-308, but maybe it should be A3-08?"

"Wasteland Planet A3, region 08—this interpretation?"

Yu Jin narrowed his eyes, boldly speculating.

Before this—

He’d always thought the ga ’Wasteland’ referred to just one specific, unique planet.

But...

It now seed far more complicated.

Expanding the idea—

If there’s a planet ’A3’, could there also be ’A1’, ’A2’, even ’C1’, ’C2’...?

"Different planets, corresponding to different servers in the ’Wasteland’ ga?"

Yu Jin couldn’t help but think of LOL’s server partition system.

This ’Wasteland’ ga clearly wasn’t as simple as it appeared.

Combined with how Yu Fei previously encountered the ’Alpha Star Survivor’, it could even be speculated—

The ga wasn’t aid at Blue Star but at countless planets and civilizations across the universe.

Blue Star was only one of the chosen civilizations—nothing particularly special at all.

Hoo—

Yu Jin took a deep breath and shook his head.

At his current stage, thinking too far ahead was pointless.

This ’premium product’ might be valuable and could provide crucial information—but with a price of five million points, it really was outrageously expensive.

Let alone that Yu Jin didn’t have that many points now, and couldn’t get them in a short ti—even if he did, he’d have to think long and hard about buying it.

After all—

At the current stage, for Yu Jin, advancing his own Tier was far more important than learning about these ’Old Civilization’ secrets.

"Once I reach Tier Nine, I’ll deal with whatever cos at !"

On that thought—

Yu Jin said nothing more and began munching on crystals.

Crunch—!

There was still a while until Yin Yao’s grandfather’s dinner party, so he decided to nibble on a few Tier Six Crystals to whet his appetite.

...

...

7:15 PM.

Yu Jin walked out from the club activities room on the top floor of Zhiyuan Building.

Five minutes later—

He t up with Yin Yao, who was already waiting at Jiang University’s main gate.

She was unusually dressed in a pale moon-white Chinese-style qipao, wearing black leather boat shoes—a blend of elegance and youthful charm.

"You’re here."

Yin Yao greeted him with a bright, flowery smile.

"Yeah, you’re looking pretty sharp tonight."

Yu Jin complinted her with a smile and got into the back seat of the black sedan.

Yin Yao paused briefly at his words, but didn’t dwell on it—she followed him into the car.

A mont later—

The car started, heading for the outskirts of Jiangcheng City.

The estate wasn’t far from Jiang University—the drive was about twenty minutes.

During the ride, neither Yu Jin nor Yin Yao in the back seat initiated conversation.

Yu Jin gazed out the window, lost in thought.

Yin Yao’s grandfather’s full na was Yin Shanhai.

Honestly—

If he weren’t already Tier Seven, and if he hadn’t awakened his bug-level ’Space’ Attribute, giving him so confidence in self-preservation...

eting such an old man would probably have made him nervous.

For no other reason—

Tier Seven Superman or not, twenty years of subtle societal influence was nothing to scoff at.

Luckily, ever since he’d bound to the system, Yu Jin had ceased being an ordinary person.

As silence stretched on, ti ticked by.

Finally, Yu Jin sensed the car slowing down.

At the sa ti, he noticed—

This suburban area was already under martial law; apart from their vehicle, there wasn’t another car on the road.

On both sides of the street, upright figures were standing guard.

Soon enough—

The car drove into an estate.

Yu Jin glanced around and imdiately noticed patrol teams stationed throughout the grounds.

Two minutes later—

The car ca to a stop.

The driver in front got out and opened the door on Yu Jin’s side.

Yu Jin stepped out, followed closely by Yin Yao.

"This way, please—"

At the estate’s entrance, a woman dressed as a housekeeper was already waiting.

Behind her stood two n in military uniform.

Worth ntioning, Yu Jin had seen one of them before—the sa guy who’d delivered his helt to the dorm twice.

At this mont—

The man also looked over and nodded at Yu Jin with a friendly smile.

Clack—

Clack clack—

Yu Jin followed the housekeeper through a long corridor, the crisp sound of footsteps echoing nonstop.

On both sides of the corridor stood ard guards.

The hallway was long, and the housekeeper walked slowly, so Yu Jin slowed his pace as well.

After quite a while—

Yu Jin and Yin Yao finally arrived at the reception room.

In front of the tea table sat an old man in a Zhongshan suit with graying hair, brewing tea.

When Yu Jin entered, the old man was just pouring half a cup of hot tea into each of the two empty cups before him.

"Grandpa."

Yin Yao called softly.

The old man seed a bit hard of hearing due to age, so her voice was raised a few notches higher than usual.

"Oh?"

The old man paused his pouring, looking up.

His cloudy yet unfathomable eyes landed on Yu Jin.

One second, two seconds, three seconds—

The elder slowly rose, a kindly smile spreading across his face.

"It’s a pleasure to et you, Yu Jin."

But at this mont, Yu Jin was slightly taken aback.

Right now—

In his field of vision, a string of clear numbers appeared above the old man—
