269: Seeing Talent 269: Seeing Talent It takes a mont for the defender to understand what had just happened “”There is an intruder” the guards shouted while at the sa ti rushing toward Aeryon.
These guards jump onto their horse and began chasing Aeryon from behind.
One of them have a fast horse and Aeryon find himself being close in by one of the guards.
The gourds attack him with a sword move Aeryon uses his horse to dodge.
He pulls the reins.
Aeryon horse swiftly move slightly toward the left, just enough distance to avoid that sword edge.
Aeryon slam his palm toward that guard and the guard was forced out from the back of his horse.
Another guard appears out of nowhere and shoot arrows at him.
Aeryon smiles as he sees the arrow flying towards him.
Dodging a bit to the right, the arrow flew past him.
Aeryon rushes beside him and uses his palm to force him out of the back of his horse Both tis, he did not use any lethal attack.
Aeryon had never intended to kill anyone this ti.
Aeryon did not care at all.
He rush toward the tribe tents and rides toward the stable.
A few arrows was let loses towards him.
Actually, if Aeryon wanted no conflict, he could have chosen to stell the horses at night.
And there is many other steps he could have taken.
He could have wrapped himself in black clothes or the sa kind of clothing like the people of the Fuxa tribe He could have gathered more intelligence.
He could spend a few more days watching this tribe Under the veil of darkness, he could have approached the encampnt.
And with his stealth, if he had uses such thod, the probability of him not being noticed is very high Learns the ebb and flow of the Fuxa tribe daily routines, understand the rhythm of their camp life, disguise himself with so dusty hues and sared earth In the darkness of the night, if the clouds covers the moon, he would be rendered nearly invisible as he would have lted into the shadow.
But…..he did not do all of that.
He could have.
But he did not.
Because Aeryon wanted to hit two birds with one stone.
He wanted to prove sothing to Fuxa tribe.
No…not prove.
But show them sothing.
And hopefully when he shows them what he wanted to show them, they would think a bit more, ponder a little bit more and reached the conclusion that Aeryon wanted them to reach “Stop!” one young warrior rides his horse, a saber on his hand, pointing towards him.
The wind is cut, the sound of the air shrieks.
Aeryon smiles “It seems this tribe also has great warriors!” Aeryon exclaid loudly.
The young man uses one single saber, a large saber.
It reminds Aeryon of Guan Yu saber.
Aeryon brought out his sword, a powerful force erupted out of him.
But he restrained him The young man eyes shines and his saber moves.
Aeryon look at the young man other hand.
Those who are not an expert on single saber, when he makes a move, his saber and the left hand, or the other hand that does not use the saber would constantly lose coordination between each other, and such a person never pays attention to having cooperation between them.
If it is like this, it could not be considered an expert on the use of single saber.
When a dancer on a stage begins to sing, and her sweet singing is perford in tandem with her movents, the audience becos rapt with attention.
In that mont, very few people would notice the stagehands in the background.
If the saber practitioner’s left hand is so uninvolved that it becos like one of those invisible stagehands, or if it is moving with so little purpose that it almost turns into so paralyzed appendage, then it will seem to be of no real use at all.
Aeryon look and he smiles “It is not quite an expert.
But not entirely an amateur” Aeryon quickly judge how much power and strength he needs to put in his attack so that he would not injure this person.
The person stabs towards him and Aeryon easily parries it.
Instead of rushing towards the stable Aeryon circle around the young man “Hahaha!
A saber to stab?
Why not use spear, kid?” The young man beco angrier and slashes towards him.
Aeryon quickly move his horse to dodge the attack but he smiles “That is better” The young man begin chopping, slashing towards him.
“The step has to shift along with your movent.
Only then your saber technique would be precise!” Aeryon mutters as he easily parries all of this young man attack.
A few more people joins the battle, but none of them caught Aeryon attention so , he easily unhorse them with a few palms attack.
But the young man, why does Aeryon did not do it earlier There is only one explanation he allows that young man to keep attacking him.
It is almost like he is teaching this young warrior of how to use the saber.
Aeryon himself did not have attainnt in the saber art.
But sword and saber have so similarities.
And they also have so differences But he focuses on the similarities So, there is still sothing he could deduce when eting soone who uses a saber And so, when eting with an amateur like this, Aeryon had the heart of cherishing talent.
To him, this young man using the saber is like an unpolished jade.
The talent is there.
It only needs a bit polishing.
The more Aeryon parries the young man saber attack, the sluggish the attack beco.
Aeryon could only sigh at this.
“too little experience.
But it could be cultivated” Aeryon thought.
Seeing this Aeryon see no point of continuing to attack the young man.
One slash of his sword, the saber on that young man hand flew away, the man was brought down from his horse and falls to the ground.
The horses runs away and Aeryon is looking down at the young man from his horse.
Aeryon shook his head and simply said “The saber is like a fierce tiger.
Hence, when you wiled the saber, you should be fearso” Pausing he added “Defy death as you wield the single saber.” “Hence whenever you use the single saber to battle against opponents, if there is fear in your heart, you will always be defeated” Aeryon did not want to delve in the discussion of saber against long weapon and the other This young man should see through it himself.
Failure makes his heart fearful The more he fails, the more he is fearful.
With each move failing to hurt him, he becos more and more fear of failure.
If this young man fought against a long weapon, feeling awkward in the position between long and short, then if he beca timid to go forward because of this, the long weapon would only widen the advantage However, if this young man could understand the word he said before, having the ntality of defying death, the long weapon of the enemy is nothing to fear So, he should charge with fearless attitude, levelling the odds between long and short, grasping the decisive mont between victory and defeat.
Treating half a chance as more than half, act in accordance with the situation, seize the opportunity, and take advantage of the opponent’s position, and thus the enemy defeat becos a more likely outco than yours.
This is the aning of his words.
It is an advice and a warning.
The young man have too little experience in fighting and it shows.
Aeryon then shakes his head and then his keen eyes look around the area and in the distance, he could see the stables nestled on the outside of the tribe settlent not far away from his position ‘Hyargh!” he kicks the side of his horse as his horse ride between tents and low-slung dwellings The sound of his hooves is like the sound of thundering lightning.
More and more guards rush toward his position but there is always a smile on Aeryon face as he rides closer and closer toward the stable “An arrow would do the trick!” Aeryon shout.
Aeryon grabs his bow and his arrow and he put it on the bow, pull the bowstring, and with a smile on his face, his breathe steady, his eyes sharp, he releases the arrow Swish!
From the distance of ten feet, the arrow sails through the air and accurately hit the lock of the stable door.
CRACK!
Aeryon arrow is not only precise, it is also strong.
The force of twenty-one n was unleashed upon that arrow.
And when it sails the air, it cut the air, the wind shrieks and one could see the air around the trails of the arrows trembles like it has been subjected to great heat.
The arrow hit the stick that is used to lock the stable.
The arrow exploded and the stick cracks and breaks like it is an old wood.
Neigh!
The horse all beco shocked.
The door of the stable creaked open.
Hiii!
The horse neigh as a few dozen horses inside the stable seem to notice that the stable has been open They stirred nervously.
Aeryon is coming closer.
A dozen warriors behind him is shooting at him with arrow and so throws javelins and stone stewards him.
“Two then!” Aeryon shouted and once again in a smooth motion, he took the bow and arrow, release the arrow again and this ti as the arrow hist the ground, all the horses inside the stable suddenly like they were being kicked on the back neighed hoarsely and rushed out of the stable.
BOOOM!
