325: mories 325: mories He did not know how the system would change but now is the ti to make a decision.
And he already made his decision and he would not change it right now.
“What will be will be” he thought to himself.
Clenching his fist, he nodded.
“rge the Spirit of the Great Steppe….with the system” he thought in his mind.
The mont he thinks like this, notification prompt of warning adpapers in front of his eyes.
A status window that only he could see.
[Warning: Changing the System would change the fundantal reward and punishnt thod of the system.
The Quest requirent would also change] [Warning: Changing the System would change the fundantal reward and punishnt thod of the system.
The Quest requirent would also change] [Warning: Changing the System would change the fundantal reward and punishnt thod of the system.
The Quest requirent would also change] [Are you sure Yes/ No] Aeryon thought to himself “Yes” he mutters to himself.
And the mont he said this word, he seems to be glowing and then a surge of energy sems to be entering his body.
He could not know from where the changes started.
But he could feel energy is coursing through his veins and for so reason, he could feel everything around him more clearly [the Will of the Great Steppe is being revived] [Destiny and Fate of the Great Steppe is being unleashed] [the restriction and repression of the destiny and fate of the Great Steppe is lifted] [You have received the Mark of the Great Steppe] [You have received the Blessing of the Great Steppe] [The Will of the Great Steppe looks favourably on you] All of this prompt appears in front of him and so he could read but the more prompt tata appears, the more blurry it appears in his eyes.
Aeryon felt his head becoming heavy and he wanted to stop it.
But once the process started it could not be stopped.
Aeryon was about to shout stop when he felt his eyelids beco heavy and thought to himself “Not again” and he closes his eyes.
…..
BOOOM!
“Run!” An image flew past him, of himself running being chased by sothing.
A sound of laser passing by him.
And then the image changes again.
This ti the image is so blurry that Aeryon could not see it clearly.
And a few more images is like that.
Flashing by him so fast he barely could see it.
And most of the ti, he sees nothing.
Only brief glimpses of sothing.
But one thing he is sure of, it is brief glimpses of death and destruction.
And then finally the images stop and Aeryon could finally see things more clearly.
And the mont his eyes could finally see sothing, he is shocked.
Aeryon is now in ethereal form.
Floating there in the air like so kind of ghost Like so kind of hologram.
He thought he was in a dream.
But for so reason, he believes he is in his own mories “Like an instinct” he mutters to himself.
He did not know how to explain it but he just instantly knows that this is his mories But this mories that he is in now, is different from any mories he has before.
“Was I right?” he thought to himself at that mont It only makes him even more sure that the mories he have before are all false.
And it might be sothing that never happens in the first place And the mont he thought like this, he thought about the book that he was reading.
On the sofa, relaxing while the sunlight illuminate the room, the curtain of the room sways as the sumr breeze passes by.
And he was reading a book.
The book he reads was the story of heroes and war.
Of tragedy, of ambition, of loss, of ideals.
That was the story he reads.
The story of the Yan empire that is very similar to the Three Kingdoms and he really feels like the author is plagiarizing the Three Kingdoms story.
That is what he thought at that ti Yet, he keeps reading it.
That was his mory.
But now…..he thinks to himself….was he really reading a story book?
Is there even a story book in the beginning?
Was that room, the sofa, the curtains, the breeze, the sunlight…was all of it is nothing more than sothing he thought up That mory…..did it really exist?
He always thought he enters the book.
He thought of dozens of way for his soul to transmigrate into the book None of it make sense.
At least not to him That setting where he transmigrated from Earth into a book seems so contrived and complicated.
But he believes it before because he trusted his mories.
But if he could not trust his mories…..then….what really happened?
The images in front of his eyes is blurry and slowly beco clear.
“What!” he exclaid before he paused for a second like he is trying to understand what he is seeing right now “This…..this…..is not possible” Aeryon is not sure what he expected to see.
But clearly he did note expect to see what he is seeing now.
He sees himself standing on an observation deck of so kind of futuristic ship.
Only this ship is not a ship that sails the sea or fly through the sky.
He is inside a large spaceship.
Then before his ethereal form could move, suddenly, he is now in the passenger seat.
In the passenger seat of his own body.
Unlike before where he is floating in the surrounding, now he is back on his body.
But the body is in the mory.
He could not get out of the constraint of his own mories but he is seeing it through his own eyes.
And what is he seeing?
Earth.
And it looks so small from his vantage point.
Like a small rock in a vast ocean of darkness He is inside a spaceship, looking down on Earth.
He is wearing so kind of battle armour suit.
The mont he tries to think what this armour is, the answer suddenly ca to him “A nano suit battle armour” It is black in colour, sleek and even looks like so kind of battle armour of the ancient past.
But the material itself is durable and powerful.
“Who am I?” this is the question that he have right now.
Clearly he is not Jas that likes to read books.
But he is soone else.
He did not know how to explain it.
But the mont he saw himself in that spaceship looking down on blue green earth, he knows that he is not Jas But the mory did not reveal to him his real na and what he is doing and who he is.
He could only just question himself.
And the mory did not reveal much.
The mory of him in the spaceship then suddenly disintegrated like it is a bubble being popped out of existence.
And instead, he saw different mories.
This is not his mories.
It took him a second to make sense of it “Could it be…?” Looking at the mories, he concluded that this is the mory of the Steppe.
The Will of the Steppe seems to be showing him these images.
Opening his mory, and then showing him its mory.
Give and take.
But the mories of the Steppe.
He saw a fire that burns the skies.
A crater.
He saw a land filled with ice.
An ice giant fighting a fire giant.
He sees a teor falling from the heavens and sink an entire continent to the sea.
He sees a darkness that shrouded the entire world, and nothing escape this darkness.
He sees beings in a golden fiery chariot streaking through the sky.
He sees an island city with a protective do.
He sees many more things.
So makes no sense to him and so flashes him by so quickly that he did not even managed to see it Only a blur.
Only a glimpse.
And then suddenly he is back.
No warning, no nothing.
He is back in that tent, like he never experiences all of that The entire experience is very surreal Aeryon look around him, looking left and right and then he sees that he is still in the tent.
He rush out from the tent, almost stumbling as he push away the curtain and get out from the tent His chest heaved up and down, like he had just run a few dozen miles.
Then he took a breath and feel the cold air of the night Then he look at the sky.
The night.
The moon.
The moon position itself did not change.
“I was gone in my head for only a short ti” he mutters to himself.
“It is not like I thought” The last ti this happens to him, hours were gone.
This ti, it felt like days in that vision, but only a mont had passed.
Is there no rhy and reason with this kind of mystical experience?
He thought to himself And then he realizes the guards are looking at him One of them is about to co towards him but Aeryon shoos him with his hand.
The guard understood and quickly returns back to patrolling the area Aeryon returns back to the tent and he narrowed his eyes >> CREATORS’ THOUGHTS Keikokumars Last Son of Terra Fleeing from a relentless, otherworldly invader, Arik Vahan is sent to Earth by his father, a desperate bid to ensure his survival.
