And of the streets not far away from the main street leading to the gates, there are so children that looks at these warriors and their horses that must have looked like massive warhorses and the attire of these tribes
Beside them are their parents
These are the children of Brolgadhr, the children of the tribe of the Kan.
And even though these people of the tribe is only watching these people coming into the city, they have pride in their hearts
Never before in their whole lifeti that their tribe is so honoured....like it is today.
The old still rembers of the humiliation of the past, and the adults still thought of the day where they have to scrimp off their possession and goes to the pass and the wall to go to Nurshira
At that ti, all of them is worried about their future.
Whether they could adapt to the harsh laws of Yan and whether they would be bullied by the local tribe forces in Nurshira
Whether they would have a ho or not
But now, now....it is very different. For the adults and the old of the Brolgadhr tribe they rember all of these hardship
And their feeling of pride and gratefulness for Aeryon is at an all-ti high
They have different feeling then the children.
These children had never lived in a ti of Aeryon father and grandfather.
At that ti, the Brolgadhr tribe is not wealthy or powerful
The only reason they could still maintain so façade of power is because the connection of the Brolgadhr.
It is these tribes and clans that have connections with the Brolgadhr that there is so many people coming here today
But for the children, even though they experienced of being expelled from the Southern Great Steppe, and they also experience the migration toward Yan, these period of hardship is brief.
All they know since Aeryon returns was the splendour and powerful might of the tribe
These children are wide eyes looking at these warriors and these procession. They pointed at so warriors and their eyes is sparkling with ambitions and desire
So old n watching their sons and grandson looking at the procession smiles while smoking so herbs watch the tide of the people entering the city with a proud expression
One old man said "Rakarys bore a great Son of the Steppe"
Another old man said
" I use to hold Aeryon when he was but a babe on the stream near the nearby valley and bathed him. Who would have thought he would be such a hero?"
Other tribe mbers would never dare call the Kan Aeryon.
Even the elders of the other tribes that have been conquered by Aeryon did not dare say the Kan real na so casually
But the old people of the Brolgadhr tribe could say it.
And they did not have to fear punishnt.
There was one ti when an old man ca to the Kan tent and scolded the Kan for so slight he perceived.
So guards wanted to throw and even kill that old man for daring to say such things.
Even the Kan did not care so much and did not even want to et such an old man
But when the Kan heard that the old man was an old man from Brolgadhr, Aeryon jump out from his bed and ran to the court and t the old man
He even let the old man hits him.
And only after that the Kan himself explain so stuff, about the law and even bring out his own wealth to appease the old man.
The old man after hearing the explanation calm down and did not take the wealth that the Kan gave him and apologizes to the Kan for misunderstanding the matter and the old man express willingness to be punished
Aeryon let the matter go and the old man returns back to his house
Outsiders might wonder why Aeryon treated the old man from Brolgadhr this nice.
It is because all of these old n from Brolgadhr is few. Many of them died during the migration to Yan.
From the cold, from the heat, from the lack of food, to the lack of water
They suffer all kinds of sufferings for him and his family
And these old n all have raised him since he was young.
Aeryon would scoff if other old n from other tribes try to lecture him. He would not even hesitate to kill such an old man that did not know their limit
But for the old man of Brolgadhr he would not mind getting scolded.
If things did not touch the law he had established, and these old n only wanted to scold him for his personal problems and his deficiencies towards them, Aeryon would not mind letting the offenses goes.
It is the least he could do
Aeryon family owes these old n the grace of life. It was these old n that have supported his father and him
Their sons fought for him and they believed in him.
And even when Aeryon action could bring about the destruction of the clan by doing thing other ancestors of his did not do, these old n treated him like their own grandchild and supported him
The years are cruel and the old is dying.
And Aeryon each ti he heard that these old n are dying truly shed a tear for them
Since they treat him sincerely like their grandchild, he too would sincerely treats them like a grandfather.
Those who gives him kindness, he would repay it tenfold. And those who spits on his sincerity, he would take their heads
..
The old of the Brolgadhr were happy to see this kind of scene in the area of Brolgadhr.
They never have seen such festive scene like this all of their lives. The glories of the Brolgadhr tribe is told to have happened hundreds of years ago, in the tis of their great grandfathers
They never expected to see such a scene in their lifeti. But today because of Aeryon, they could see the scene only described in the stories near the fireplace.
There is the rchants, there is the warriors, chiefs and heads of clans that ca to the city. But it wasn’t only them that ca.
Near the city of Brolgadhr there is many settlents.
If this was in Yan, they could be categorized as a village.
But in the Steppe, these kind of settlents could not be incorporated into the census. Because today, the settlents might be here.
But the next season they might have moved on to greener pasture
That is how it is in the Great Steppe.
But since Aeryon constructed a city, there were many settlents near the city.
They are not that close to the city wall but they were also not that far away from the city.
These are clans and small tribes and groups of people that gather together to bask in the prosperity of the Brolgadhr tribe.
So of them would go to the city to buy things and trade things. So of them goes to the city to work for the city
To the clans and these small tribes, they are very welcoming of Brolgadhr tribe.
To them the Brolgadhr tribe is like a protector.
In the past, even though Yan no longer have nay power to make a northern expedition to the Great Steppe, they sotis would go north in the banner of supressing the barbarians and kills children and won
Defenceless child and old people would have their head cut off by these evil demonic Yan people
Just because they dehumanize the people of the Steppe, they justify their killings of children and old n and won and even pregnant woman
Hence, each ti the people of the Steppe could sally forth to the south, the kind of brutality that the Steppe people inflict on the people of Yan becos terrifying
The greater the love, the greater the hate. The people of the Steppe did not have so many taboos compared to people of Yan.
They did not think killing people have so many rules and etiquette.
But each people of the Steppe who is in tribe loves their tribe fiercely.
It is this tribal mindset that would make a feud to last generation but it was also this mindset that made them able to survive the harsh winters and the harsh life of the Steppe
Because each tribes mber understand that the lone wolf would always dies in winter and fighting for each other and protecting each other is the only way people could survive.
Each steppe people loves their tribes like their lives.
Now imagine the love they held for their families.
Why does the people of the grassland beco almost irrational when their children and parents dead that they would ignore war situation and does so stupid military decision? It is because they have a heart
The people of Yan claims that they abhor barbarism, abhor evil, respecting the teachers and respecting the family, but they could always justify the killings of brothers and sons for the greater good.
It is just a façade.
