This Dama also has an advisor like him.
The governance thod is quite novel in the Steppe, separating the regions and creating a khanate.

And he is quite wary of this empire. Fortunately, enough, this empire never even reached the Central Great Steppe.
They are usually blocked in the Northern Great Steppe even before they could reach the Steppe.
Aeryon never underestimated this Roma. Mayeux is the reason why he never dares to underestimate Roma

If Dama is only interested in satisfying his desire, then one day this mad dog would be put down by the world
But a brutality with purpose could intimidate the world and he could conquer it. Dama is more of a Genghis khan then him
Does Aeryon did not want to enlighten his people?
To teach them the value of life?
To teach them about freedom, about self-determination, about all of the virtues that made human, human?
He does wanted to teach them
But Aeryon recognize early on.
He could not. Only those who ca to this era, lived in it, understand it could understand why it could not work.
Culture, entrenched fear, the situations, the structure for all of these ideas to bloom is not in place.
Does Aeryon wanted to spread the seeds of these thoughts?
He wanted to.
But to do that, he first at least have to have the strength to protect himself. You could not cook without rice
There is no rice, so what use is a rice cooker?
To protect his people.
These people, are not just numbers.
They are breathing, living people. Aeryon knew their family. Their child. Their uncles and aunts, their nephews, their mother and father.
Soldiers are governed by soldiers way. If you want to live by the sword, you have to be prepare to end by the sword
But what about the herders?
The trackers?
The sheepherders?
The innocent people of the Steppe? A line in history books, calling them unruly people deserve to be killed by the Yan people.....simply because they are different?
Because their culture are different, because they do not believe that Emperors are the manifestation of heavenly will?
People always believe in sothing. If not so divine entities, then it would be so idols. Money. Lust. Desire.
Aeryon has always been conflicted between ideals and reality.

The only two people in the Southern Great Steppe that has the best chance of taking that throne of the ruler of the entire Southern Great Steppe is either Aeryon or Dama.

And Dama also knows this.
The other were all restricted by their thinking, restricted by their environnt, restricted by their age, restricted by many things
So however are just late to the party.
And sotis, the difference of this ti determines many things.

The only way for Dama to even made him feel danger is to cross the land with a large army.
That is the only way to determine who is truly worthy to beco the ruler of this Southern Great Steppe

There is so other reports about Western Zhou princes who is thinking of making an attack on the western area of the Great Steppe.
