In Yan, the scholars seek employnt, fa and fortune.
They all said that they wanted to use the knowledge to help the people but what they do was they use the knowledge to help the king, to bey the king but not help the people or obey the people wills
In the Steppe, the Ashana seek truth.
The truth however is not sothing that they impart easily.
And each Ashana seek different truth.
So seek the truth of power.
So seek the truth of the sky, the movent of clouds and winds
So seek the truth of the Earth
It is a pity that these Ashana did not publicise their research and their specialities are only rembered depending on whether a chief would use it.
Even the Council of Ashana rarely spread their teachings because each Ashana guarded knowledge like their children
One of the Ashana under Aeryon rules study the thod of sounds, and he knows so thod to redirect sound using so dark purplish stone that could be found on the Blue Hole in the Empatarah River.
Aeryon also got this stone from the tributes of the tribes, and he had given all of these stone to the Ashana to carve wind walls
Positioned in certain angel just right it acts like an amplifier of voice yet only in that area would the sound travel.
And that is the simple explanation of how these people so far away from the platform but could hear the singing, the words of the people in the platform like they are standing beside them
An Ashana then shouted
"Call upon the banners of the hundred tribes! Present your loyalty!" the shout echoes loudly all over the plains and everyone for so reason straightened up their pose
Hundreds of horse’s rides inside inner formation of the coronation area. These people did not have bows behind their back nor do they have swords or blades on their hips
But they are carrying a banner, fluttering as they raise it up.
They circle the coronation platform nine tis
Each ti they circle the south point, the Ashana would tally the count
"NINE!" the mont the Ashana shouted the number nine, the circling slow stops
"Present the banners!"
"HOUH!" the sound echoes all over the plains
BOOM!
A hundred banners are struck toward the ground.
"Ride out!" the hundreds of horses ride out, the dust rises toward the sky and as the dust settles back to the ground the common people that watches this could not help but exclaim in their heart
"How majestic!" this is the first ti anyone in this part of the Steppe has seen such a ceremony.
And this is the first ti anyone see hundreds of banners of tribes and clan’s flutters at the sa place
There are more than one hundred banners.
So of them are banners of respectable clans and powerful tribes and so of them are small tribes and minor clans
But to see it like this.
This visual effect shakes everyone heart
More than a hundred banners shows that there is more than one hundred tribes and clans that is under the Brolgadhr tribe.
"United under one banner, a power to sweep all opposition!" Ota thought to himself as he sees these hundreds of banners
And then like it is on cue, the wind of the Steppe blows and the one hundred banners in that instant all flutters wildly.
"HOH!
Everyone exclaid.
The visual sights of hundreds of banners encircling the platform is like the bowing of all chiefs toward the Qayan in the ancient past.
"Call upon the Ashana Angah!"
Suddenly another voice echoes bringing everyone out of their reverie and look back at the platform.
Ashana Angah is an old Ashana and the fact he is asked to preside this matter is not a shock.
The only people that are shocked are probably those Ashana in the crowd that knows the complicated background of Ashana Angah.
To the chief, to the common people, most of them only knows Ashana Angah as a talented and respected Ashana
Not all chiefs could discern that Ashana Anagh is soone special. So had seen so of his more mysterious side.
But so only see a few sides of him.
To so chief, they knew him as a mystery and strange man that seems to be able to use so magic.
To other chief he is a healer of the greatest degree.
He could use a few simple herbs to concoct so potion to heal you, and he was very generous.
To the warriors that have t him, they knew him as an eccentric wanderer
This old man has been wandering around the Steppe all of these years and he had survived all kinds of trouble from bandit chase to a hostile tribe and even to encounters with the best of the Steppe
Hence, to these warriors that have seen how tough this old man is, they admire him greatly
But the Ashana community knows how dangerous this old man is.
A man not quite mortal but not quite heavenly either
He knows all kinds of secrets, and he could see through the skies and read the stars and divine its aning
The kind of Ashana that gives chill to other Ashana.
The kind that could read destinies and fate
"Why did Great Ashana Angah would deign himself to participate?"
So of those who knows Ashana Angah penchant for not involving himself in the cause and effect of a tribe is now actively participating in a ceremony of another tribe?
When there is sothing weird, there must be a reason.
So old and wise Ashana saw Ashana Angah on the stage, and his eyes is beating fast and his eyes sparkle
"Ashana Angah...believes in this tribe" those old and wise Ashana that knows the true horror of Angah, knows that this person can see through fate and destinies
Did he choose to participate because he sees the victory of the Brolgadhr tribe over all the others?
None of them thinks that Ashana Angah would choose Brolgadhr because of so feelings and deep emotions.
Because those who knows Ashana Angah also knows that Ashana Angah most famous trait is his ability to preserve himself from getting into sticky situation
His ability to not wade into danger and his ability in escaping danger are one of his most powerful traits.
Preserving himself is one of his most powerful traits
If Ashana Angah is willing to involve himself in the cause and effect of this tribe, there must be sothing about this tribe that is worth his investnt
The chiefs, the warriors all over the Southern Great Steppe, are now all trying to find their way out.
But even the Ashana, this soti forgotten group is also trying to find a way out for themselves.
By now, everyone knows that the unification for the Southern Great Steppe under one leader is the general trend
The question is who would unite it?
Who would beco the loser and who would beco the winner? And what treatnt would the loser get and what would the winner do?
A wrong decision could destroy a tribe, a right decision could propel them to great prosperity
But to the Ashana, the concern beca if the wrong ruler is chosen, they would be supressed. If the right ruler is chosen, they could thrive
Ashana is like the scholars in Yan.
But unlike the scholars in Yan, they rarely govern the people.
Their studies are more diverse.
So are elders who beca Ashana who soti counsel the chiefs.
In the tribe, depending on the ability of the Ashana, so Ashana is so highly respected that an insult could start a war between tribes.
So are just there to help so problems that so chief had encountered.
There is a reason for the lack of Ashana in governing powers
While they could influence the chief in many ways, they are rarely given the power of governing.
And even Ashana themselves are rarely interested in governing the region
Ashana are mostly obsessed people.
But what they are obsessed is not about fa, fortune, and all of this worldly stuff.
It is the truth. The first Ashana of the Great Steppe ca from soone who is seeking the truth during the tis of those ancient gods and demons
Now, the ages of those great beings have ended but the core trait of Ashana had never changed. They seek the truth
And the truth they seek are all different. So seek the truth of the earth; so seek the truth of the skies and beyond.
So seek the truth of human hearts, and so seek the truth of the human mind
But regardless of what truth they seek in their lives, what legacy they wanted to leave their disciples, they all understood one thing
A great leader that could accommodate them and allow them to pursue their truths is the best ruler.
So of the Ashana seeing Angah on the stage seem to steel their hearts.
"If Ashana Angah believes in this Brolgadhr tribe, then it would not be in vain for to follow"
