The Khan of the Brolgadhr has run around the entire Southern Great Steppe, trampling all of the tribes that try to stop him and he was unbeatable.

Why?

Precisely because of these armoured riders. It is not only because of discipline.

Discipline is just basic.

The main core is these armoured riders

It provided the shock elent that could finish battle

Mu Cha who is on the other side first send his light cavalry to harass.

And then as the enemy seems to clump up or gather or trying to attack, Mu Cha would simply send an order to these heavy cavalries to break through these n.

It doesn’t matter that the Nergui uses poison.

Not only they prepared herbs already, but their armours also itself is hard to penetrate.

Unless you have a sharpshooter that could shoot the unprotected parts, no archers could break this heavy cavalry charge.

It is also the reason why Mu Cha did not ride in front

Unlike Belarion who have hyper sense to determine when he is being attacked, Mu Cha, even though he himself is a great fighter, he is not confident that among thousands of n he could accurately identify every attack that is coming towards him.

He did not have the thickness of skin and the powerful aura like Belarion. And his own style of commanding requires him to be more cautious.

He had learned the essence of commanding that is suited to him.

Joining the Brolgadhr also open him up too many other tactics.

And this kind of feeling of commanding the n while he himself views the victory from a safe spot is addicting for him

Mu Cha is now on his horse on top of a mound looking at the battle and he smiles

"The Khan created an iron army that would trample all over the Steppe!" Mu Cha had commanded the army of the Brolgadhr only a few months.

But each ti, he saw the way the heavy cavalry of the Brolgadhr break through the formation or enemy encirclent like it was nothing, he appreciates more his own wisdom in surrendering to the Khan

He too had desire to rise and make a na for himself in this new chaotic era that has descended on the Steppe.

Right now, what he is seeing is the terrifying charge of the armoured horsen.

Charging through formation like a storm, and withstood arrow fire like it is just droplets of water of rain.

When properly supported the heavy cavalry is effective. The commander however needs to know how to employ this cavalry army with strategic sophistication

And Belarion army did not only bring spears.

They have lances.

This is when you know they are being serious.

For warriors that have considerable strength they have their own unique weapon.

So commander could bring their own prized swords or sabres and even hamrs.

But the common soldiers all brought lances when they are getting their arms.

This is when you know that things are serious.

Brolgadhr heavy cavalry improved upon the charging effect by attaching hooks to their lances to take enemies down when bypassing.

Mu Cha ride passes through the riders of Nergui tribe and before they could turn, they were attacked from left and right and as they bypass them the lances fly and hooks drags them down

Mu Cha now employed one of the strategies of Brolgadhr. Two ranks deep formation of heavy cavalry charging the enemy

Around them and behind them, they are supported by three ranks of light cavalry.

"Shoot!"

Swish

Swoosh

These three ranks of light cavalry is now delivering rapid close-up shots with heavy armour breaking arrows.

The fact that all of this weapon is now being deployed ans this is no diversion. This is no raid. This id Belarion ordering the whole army to fight

This is the decisive fight to break the army of Nergui right here and now

Everyone thought that the battle would be fought in the morning. At dawn. Even the Nergui tribe thought so

And before Belarion decided to attack, even the Brolgadhr tribe also thought so

They believe that Brolgadhr tribe would take the ti to reorganize the army and be ready for them to attack the settlent

Belarion did not wait instead he took the mont right after Khunbish failed to disrupt to attack

Belarion sll the opportunity for victory.

It is a sense that he is born with the mont he enters a battlefield and fight

This is why Aeryon could entrust him Wustkazan.

In many ways, Belarion still have a lot to learn in many aspect

One thing that he does not have to learn is how to battle and command armies

Because he had a keen sense of what works and what doesn’t

Belarion is crushing it in the front. It resembles a wedge formation with Belarion acting like the head.

Sotis it looks like a spear breaking through a shield.

Sotis, it slithers like a snake gobbling everything in front of him

Why does the formation changes constantly like this?

Is it Belarion plans? No, it is just that his deputies all is swept by his pace.

Where Belarion goes, that is where they go.

They protected his rear, his left and right flank and it allowed Belarion who is already an enemy of ten thousand could move even more freely.

Rampaging all across the tens of thousands of n, fighting the heroes of the Steppe with satisfaction!

Belarion could have attacked earlier. He could have attacked a few days earlier.

He could have even attacked yesterday.

But he chose this mont

Because he wanted a decisive victory with Nergui.

The reason why the Steppe could always rise up even when they are beaten by the empires around them is simply because they could scatter away.

Yan people, Roma people think once they conquered certain settlent and put so stone tablet or mark so place in the map as theirs, it becos theirs

If that were true, then half the Steppe could be considered Yan

Yan people have always started their conquest by manipulating maps. It works against other settled empires, but it did not work against Steppe people who would not acknowledge the people of Yan

When the empire attacks, they scatter away and if they were defeated they bide their ti. And then they would attack. And they would attack with a vengeance. That is what they did to Yan, to Roma, to Zhou, to the mountain tribes

And because of that they never truly die.

So, Belarion waited.

He waited here.

The strategy itself is simple. The Nergui could also deduce what Belarion is trying to do.

Belarion did not attack the settlent that is so easily destroyed.

If Belarion had attacked then, attacked a few days ago with his main force, the entire settlent would have been razed by now

The old Belarion would have done this without hesitation

But the current Belarion is not like the past. Cahya, Chulun, Mu Cha Xiwanu all of the are great warriors but also advisors to the chief in the past.

The great warriors of a tribe sotis have dual responsibility.

So have simple task.

So great warriors are fad because of their ability to lead n into battle or to fight in the frontlines.

And so are known to be able to give advice to the chief so that the chief could make a sound decision for the clan and tribe

Dama for example have Katakura. He is able to fight for the tribe and also strategize for Dama. Most of Dama success and strategic vision co from Katakura.

As for Aeryon, he has Mayeux. Mayeux is known for his ability to present a vision to the Khan and his ability to share the sa dream and desire as the Khan.

But Mayeux himself is a warrior.

He has talent in civil and military matters

He might not have been as powerful as the Khan and Belarion but his ability to lead n is unquestionable.

In the early days of Aeryon rise, he was one of the one thousand n leader

It wasn’t until when Aeryon has enough n that he transferred Mayeux to stay in the rear to guard the tribe and make sure the supply line and the rear is protected.

Aeryon trust no one else for this vital task other than Mayeux.

Belarion.....on the other hand is the type of great warrior that could fight in the frontline.

The fact that he is born with innate strength make him the perfect fit for such a task

However, there is a difference between Belarion position and other innate strength warriors in the Steppe

Most innate warrior have held many post as great warriors. But most of them rarely have the chief as their sworn brother.

Not only he is a sworn brother of the chief, but he is also loved by the forr chief and his relationship with the Khan is like a true brother.

Why is this so rare?

Because people who is born with innate strength is feared.

These beings are too powerful.

And in their strength lies the fear. It is unknown and the stories and myths about these beings of imnse power make them fearso

Like a monster in the dark, like a ghost in folklores

After all, it is just instinct for people to fear the unknown.

And fear breeds hate.
