"Tell again who it is addressed to"
The ssenger once again reported that it is his na and the mont Chayun heard his na he closes his eyes and sighed
As for what is in the hands of the ssenger, it is a letter
Chayun was shocked when he heard from where it ca.
The letter ca from the camp of the Khan.
And for a mont he was sceptical.
But then he rembers how his father always praises the Khan as a great hero and it is in line with the character of the Khan to send letter even towards his enemies
But one thing is clear.
The fact that the Khan had stopped his advances and send the letter, it ans the Khan had known
"This letter is probably a letter of condolence" but even though Chayun did not doubt Aeryon intention, he still asks his servants to open the letter.
It is known that so tribes are adept at poison.
Even more so after Chayun fought alongside Nergui tribe. That tribe is almost godlike in the use of poison.
There is a reason that small tribe had survived all of these years in the Southern Great Steppe.
It is because he had learned of such thods, he also knows there is a thod of putting poisons on paper and putting poisons on the seal and even when opening a letter, especially if it is rolled around, one could inhale poisonous scent that would kill him
If this was in the past, Chayun would not be this cautious.
But now, he could not leave everything to chance. Even if there is a risk of dying, he must not die.
He would disappoint his clansn, his tribesn and his father if he died too early.
Even if he died, he must make sure that this tribe is stable before he died
No one know when they would die, but everyone has wishes once they have lived and understand the world
Like his father.
His father had many plans and he have many visions of how the battle should go and what they should do
But before any of it could be realized his father had died.
It is shocking of course.
His father had expected that he could live until at least the first few battles but his illness beco worse by the day.
Maybe because of the strain or maybe because this year winter is colder than any year before it, or maybe it is because the stress.
None of it sided with his father.
Heaven is not on his father side.
But if there is sothing fortunate about it, his father seems to know his ti is running out and manage to settle everything before he departs for the next life.
His father knows that even though the Brolgadhr army is powerful, if his father at the helm and coordinated the allies, there is a great chance of repelling Brolgadhr forces.
One might ask, if there is a plan why did Chadha did not leave the plan with Chayun? After all, Chadha before he died have many occasions to leave the plan toward Chayun
From the very beginning, Chadha wanted to entrust the tribe to Chayun.
He even has ti to have a heart-to-heart talk and then even leave so guidance and instruction of what to do but is it reasonable for such a future looking chief to forget to impart to his son the thod of fighting and war that Chadha had formulated to defeat Aeryon?
Chayun also thinks of this the first day his father died.
He even asks his father why not give him the plan and he would try to follow the plan
When he said that his father looks at him and, in those eyes, he could see pity.
But his father did not say anything and for a mont there is only silence in the tent
And then his father simply said to him that "the plan could not be written. And it could not be imparted. And it could not be understood"
At that ti Chayun did not understand what his father was trying to say
His father then added that he would understand this matter later.
It wasn’t until today, when thinking about the many things that he needs to settle and reading the reports of the other tribes he had understood why his father did not give him the plan
The kind of plan that could not be given ans the plan is in his father head.
And the reason it could not be written because the important thing about the plan is not the plan itself.
But the one executing the plan
The reason why his father could not give the plan and give the thod is because his father....is the thod
The only way for that plan to succeed is for his father to be the one leading the war.
Chayun knows himself. If his father died, and then he died, then the entire tribe would lose their confidence and they would be defeated even before they enter the battlefield.
He could no longer treat his life carelessly.
The servant opens the letter an there is nothing. Then the letter is given to him and he reads it and he frowned.
"Not only he knows you are dead, father, he is even cautious enough to know what I might have planned"
"The Khan of the Southern Great Steppe. He is probably the one that is truly worthy of having that title. Dama.... that hero of the East....is he as amazing as this young man"
And there is a bitter smile on Chayun face.
he is born in the wrong tis. His father was also born in the wrong ti
His father is born too early to ride the wind of the tis. And he is born too late to change anything
So people think that the heroes make the ti. His father believes that the tis makes the heroes.
So people believe that they could ride the tis.
So believed they could shape the tis. And so believe that the tis itself would shatter all illusions.
It is because the tis shapes the heroes that his father admire Aeryon so much.
Not because of his prowess or because he has powerful armies. As his father had said to him, a large army ans nothing if you do not know how to use the army.
A stupid leader could change an army of tigers and lions into sheep and rabbits.
What his father admired the most about the Khan, was his ability to sohow shape the ti and created a wind of change.
It needed not only strength, but it also needed luck and fortune and montum.
After the Brolgadhr expanded, there were so mistakes here and there but in the initial rise of the Brolgadhr, the three days in which Aeryon subdued the Xewa and Ghar tribe was the perfect example of the use of montum to subdue all of thing
Aeryon at that ti launches a lighting attack on all the small tribes and clans around the area of the Brolgadhr streams and hills and occupied a powerful defensible position
And then after three days, he stopped
It is this.... knowing when to rush and when to stop.... his father admired that three days
Because in those three days, if Aeryon had even slowed his montum, if he had slowed in attacking and in surprising his enemies and the other tribes and clans, only one mont of slowness and hesitation.... Brolgadhr would not have been able to expand as they did today.
Everyone knows the potential of a tribe when they reached a certain size. When they reached a certain size, then they could expand.
And an overlord would be born in this tribe
Everyone knows this because this is not their first ti.
But it is precisely because they all know this that every tribe would crush any tribes that have any potential of expanding beyond the scope of a certain scale.
At least even if they wanted to beco large and big, the others should hold their weakness
Or they are surrounded by enemies so that they could easily be subdued in the case such tribe wanted to expand their land.
This asure is not only because each chief wanted to ensure their rule over their tribes and clans but also because of peace.
But the mont Aeryon broke that scope of scale of size of tribe allowed to such a small tribe, it broke the rule.
And by the ti everyone realizes that Aeryon had already had the power to aim for that overlord status, it was too late. Utgard previous chief Garron understood it and see the potential of such tribe hence probably why he signs that agreent with the Brolgadhr tribe and married his daughter toward the Khan
Utgard has always wanted to break from the status quo and return back to the Central region.
They need strength but they could not gather strength in a land full of people wanting to maintain status quo.
Nobody knows the thoughts of that Viper but there are probably many considerations in his mind when he decided to sign an alliance with the young chief who beco Khan
And his father said, this rise of the Brolgadhr tribe all depended on those three days and night from the mont Aeryon returns to the Great Steppe.
That three days and three nights of fighting and attacking was without mistake.
It was flawless
