Ren implented every single piece of advice with mastery.

Internally his mind worked at maximum velocity, calculating and adjusting and constantly verifying that everything was perfect for Luna who deserved this victory after everything she'd been through.

But externally he projected effortless grace that proposed this was a natural ability rather than learned skill.

Luna was srized. 'Not a hint of strain...'

anwhile, Larissa's advice cycled through Ren's consciousness like mantras he'd morized through repetition.

'Don't look at your feet, judges hate that. Maintain eye contact when appropriate but don't stare creepily. Smile subtly to show confidence. Count ntally but don't let it show you're counting. Breathe with the rhythm so your partner can match.'

The audience murmur grew louder despite attempts at proper etiquette. This wasn't just appreciation of a beautiful dress anymore. This was recognition they were witnessing sothing special that would be discussed for months in social circles.

'The dress is perfect. The mont is perfect. And Ren... Ren guides through every step like he knows exactly what I need before I need it.'

'He's... dancing. Really dancing. With .'

'Why does my chest feel tight? This is just a competition. JUST A DANCE. Just...'

The dress moved with Luna like extension of her body rather than a separate garnt. The crystals trapped light with each turn, creating flashes that seed choreographed with the music even though they were simply responding to movent. When she spun the skirt flowed in perfect arc. When she stopped the fabric settled imdiately without awkward bunching or strange folds.

Ren executed the sequence exactly as they'd practiced but didn't look practiced, instead it gazed more like natural flow. Luna spun away from him, fabric floating around her like water responding to unseen currents, then returned to his arms in a timing so perfect it seed predestined rather than practiced again.

'He's looking at like I'm the only person in the room. Like the judges don't exist. Like the audience isn't watching. Like nothing else matters.'

'Stop it. Stop making feel things in the middle of a competition. I need to focus!'

The judges were writing on their scoring sheets with looking at their hands, which suggested they were actually engaged. Three of five were already nodding with expressions that looked like approval rather than the normal polite acknowledgnt.

The music shifted to a more intense tempo that demanded more complex footwork. Each rhythm change needed imdiate adjustnt, fluid transitions from slow tempo to fast and back again without losing synchronization.

'Tempo change NOW!'

But externally Ren still appeared completely relaxed with an easy confidence that made it look effortless. As if he weren't thinking compulsively about every microsecond.

'He didn't even look strained. Just... confident. This is what it feels like to trust soone completely? To know they won't let you fall no matter what. When did I start trusting him this much? When did he beco...'

'Don't think about it! Not now! Focus on the dance… Just the dance. Nothing else matters until this is over!'

The audience had gone completely silent now, not even whispered comntary disturbing the performance. Just absolute attention fixed on the couple at the hall's center who moved like a single entity rather than two separate people trying to coordinate.

Because this wasn't just technically perfect dance that checked every box on judges' scoring rubrics.

This was a dance that told a story without words.

Each movent communicated sothing about trust and support and two people finding synchronization despite coming from completely different worlds. Two contrasting elents, red and blue, commoner and noble, light and shadow, strength and vulnerability, moving in a perfect harmony that shouldn't be possible but was anyway.

The crystals on Luna's dress blazed with each turn, catching light in ways that seed almost magical. Ren took a deep ntal breath while guiding Luna toward the dance's conclusion. A series of rapid spins followed by a dramatic dip that required perfect timing and absolute trust between partners.

'This is it. The finale. If I ss this up after everything... Luna trusted . Larissa and Liora trusted . I CANNOT ss this up!'

'He won't drop . I know he won't drop . Not Ren...'

'Look at his eyes… I trust him. Completely. With this dance... With everything.'

She leaned back into the dip without hesitation, body following his guidance with faith that felt both terrifying and exhilarating.

One mistake here and Luna could fall in front of everyone. The dance would be ruined. All the effort wasted on a single mont of imperfect execution.

But there was no margin for doubt now, no room for hesitation that would translate into physical error.

Ren executed the movents exactly as they'd practiced hundreds of tis in sessions that had consud every spare hour they could find.

Luna spun with strong yet controlled montum.

And then Ren dipped her backward in the final pose just as the music reached its concluding note.

The crystals caught light in a final explosion of sparkles as the dress settled around her, the best fabric falling in perfect ti too.

And the expression on Luna's face in that suspended mont...

It was pure, genuine emotion without any filter or careful control.

Looking at him like he was the only thing that mattered in her world, like everything else had faded to irrelevance.

The silence lasted three seconds that felt like an eternity while everyone including the judges processed what they'd witnessed.

And then the audience exploded in applause.

In their section of the audience, Liora watched with an expression she couldn't completely hide.

Larissa leaned slightly toward her, her voice barely audible over the thunderous applause that showed no signs of diminishing. "It seems it was a success."

"Without doubt," Liora responded, but she sighed in a way that contradicted the positive words. "Though I hate admitting I feel a bit disheartened."

Larissa looked at her with curiosity, allowing her friend to continue without pressure or judgnt that might make the unexpected confession harder.

"Because I genuinely love Luna," Liora said, her eyes still fixed on the couple at the hall's center who were now bowing to judges with perfectly synchronized grace. "I didn't know I was capable of feeling such big envy until now. I almost regret pushing him to help her. Seeing the way she looks at him..."
