The demon that burst in hardly had ti to react before its body split from within. A sticky, gooey mass of organs and bones was expelled from the dark clouds, rging with a nearby glass column.
If you look closely, you’ll see that it’s entirely different from the usual splatter; as the flesh and tissues scatter, they remain a complete whole, with not a single blood vessel in the sentery rupturing.
From an outsider’s perspective, the demon didn’t seem to be slashed open with a sharp blade, but rather like its belly willingly opened up, allowing its insides to be drawn towards the glass pillar.
The latter instantly transford into a pillar of blood!
After the intense deformation of its body, the opponent’s ability was forcibly nullified, the dark clouds vanished, leaving only an undefended body. The Celestial Mist Skill’s detection feature allows him to pinpoint enemy positions with prescience, while the Invisibility Talisman always earns the duo the advantage. The only tough ones are the demons, but even if they blend into the crowd, the conspicuous spiritual qi glow would expose their identity, with Elorie luring them forward, Chen Xuan seizing the chance for a deadly strike.
Thirty minutes later, the Holy Temple Treasure Vault finally fell silent.
Gazing at the bloodstained and corpse-laden corridor, Elorie’s face paled like paper, she wanted to cover her mouth but her half-raised hand fell back down, as it was also stained red.
Her determination to change the future, to prevent her holand from being destroyed by disaster, remained firm, however her resolve couldn’t imdiately make her indifferent to death. Five demons were exterminated, the rest were ordinary people—most of whom were dealt with by her.
Chen Xuan kindly handed her a tissue, "Want to step outside for a breath? We’re near the treasure vault’s gate."
"Thank you..." Elorie accepted the tissue, gagged a few tis before her breathing steadied, "Phew... I feel much better. Didn’t expect these people to fight till the end."
"Probably bewitched by demons," Chen Xuan remarked. Demons are adept at manipulating minds, conjuring a suicide squad is not surprising. "You don’t have to regret killing them, these rcenaries lead bloody lives, surely having claid many lives themselves."
"I understand..." Elorie nodded.
Then she incredulously added, "We succeeded? History... has really changed?"
The Holy Temple Secret Vault was supposed to be obliterated in a joint demon raid, but now it still stands atop the mountain.
