The man in the hood walked with an unsettling calmness, his movents slow but cautious. I followed closely, staying just far enough behind to avoid detection. Each step he took only made him seem more suspicious.

At tis, he would glance over his shoulder, his head turning sharply to scan his surroundings. The mont his eyes began to sweep, I moved swiftly, blending into the shadows of the alleys or slipping behind poles and nearby objects.

He seed amateur at this and my experience in staying unseen made it almost effortless, but his paranoia was clear.

As we weaved through the silent streets, I felt a prickle at the back of my neck, a sensation that sothing—or soone else—is also watching.

I stopped, my eyes darting upward. From a tower overlooking the street, a faint silhouette caught my attention. Whoever it was, their focus wasn't just on the hooded man; they were watching too.

My instincts kicked in, and with a flicker of energy, I vanished from my position and appeared silently behind the person.

"You're following him too?" I asked, my voice cutting through the quiet like a blade.

The person jolted, spinning around to face . It was Alpha. Her wide eyes softened as recognition ca to her, but her expression quickly shifted to one of mild surprise.

"You look… different," she said, her gaze lingering on my face and my body. "More feminine."

I smirked. "Tournant preparation. Gotta make an impression, right?"

Alpha shook her head, a hint of amusent in her eyes. "Of course. Always the perforr."

"What about you?" I asked, crossing my arms. "What's with the stalking?"

Her expression turned serious. "That man stole a docunt from a politician's house. I want to see who he's delivering it to."

"Let guess… bandits?"

Alpha's lips pressed into a thin line as she nodded. "Exactly."

I glanced back down at the street, where the hooded man was still walking, oblivious to our conversation. "Looks like we've got a little field trip ahead of us."

The pursuit continued, this ti with both of us working together. The hooded man's path led us deeper into the city, away from the loud nightlife and into quieter, more isolate areas.

Eventually, we found ourselves in an underground valley area. The air was damp and carried a faint tallic scent, and the dim lights overhead flickered continuously.

The man finally stopped in an open space surrounded by towering, crumbling walls. From the shadows, five more figures erged, each wearing the sa hooded attire. Unlike the first man, their builds were imposing—tall and muscular, their movents exuding raw strength.

"Bandits…" Alpha whispered, her voice barely audible.

"They're the ones?" I asked for confirmation.

"Yes. No doubt about it." Alpha nodded. "Seems like this will save us a lot of ti," her tone optimistic.

"Hope so," I replied, though a weird suspicion lingered in the back of my mind. "But I can't shake the feeling there's more to it than we're seeing." My voice trailed off as I fell into thought.

Alpha glanced at , her brows furrowing slightly as if my question had sparked a similar doubt in her.

Reaching into the pocket of my white shorts, I pulled out a small, crinkled wrapper and tore it open. The scent of mint filled the air as I popped the gum into my mouth, chewing lazily.

"Umm, yumm..." I muttered, savoring the flavor. Then, with a sly grin, I added, "Clubs have started giving these out now. Fancy, huh?"

Alpha's thoughtful expression cracked into a smile.

From behind the group, another person stepped forward. This one moved differently—slower, more deliberate. He seed older, and his movents were firm despite their lack of smoothness. His face was covered by a mask, adding an air of nace to his presence.

The hooded man we had been following approached the group, holding out a suitcase. The bandits took the docunts, their eyes scanning through the contents briefly before handing them to the masked man.

"What could they possibly want with those?" I muttered.

Alpha's eyes narrowed. "Nothing good."

The bandits stood grouped together, their voices low as they spoke with the masked man. From where I and Alpha were hidden, I couldn't make any sense of their words, the darkness of the night, shadows and distance was making it hard for to read their lips.

The masked man gave a slight nod, probably he said thank you for delivering the docunts to him.

As the masked man turned to leave, his head raised in confusion, as though sensing sothing. He stopped, his gaze locking onto a person standing boldly in the open—Alpha, in all black.

"Well, well," I murmured, a smirk creeping onto my face. "Subtle as ever."

The tension in the air ca suddenly. The bandits froze, their heads looking toward Alpha. For a mont, no one moved.

"What the heck?"

"Who is she?"

Then one guy recognized her and said it out loud.

"That's...shadow mystics..."

The hooded man who had delivered the papers seed to panic.

"What the fuck...How can they be here? I made sure no one is following ."

He turned sharply, intent on fleeing the scene.

But his escape was short-lived. As he spun around, he ca face-to-face with , standing casually in his path.

My hands were buried in my pockets, a bubble gum bubble popping audibly between my lips. I tilted my head, my eyes locking onto his with an expression of pure innocence.

"Going sowhere?" I asked, my voice calm and dripping with sarcasm.

The man froze, his eyes darting between and Alpha. The corners of my mouth lifted into a slow, knowing smile.

"Huh, let's see how good they really are,"

The bandits muttered under their breath, my eyes narrowing as the bandits began drawing their weapons without hesitation, the sound of steel echoing in the air.

Alpha stepped forward, her posture confident and her gaze unwavering as she closed the distance between her and the group.

The hooded guy also removed a knife from behind his back and the masked man clutched the docunts to his chest as if it's his life line.

"You guys are sure unlucky for directly running into us like that." I said.

The space between us and the bandits shrank, and the tension thickened with every passing second.

This was about to get interesting.
