We went back to the village safely without encountering any monsters, apart from the random zombies we would encounter every once in a while. Isabella was hugging the plushy against her chest while trying to conceal the excitent she felt from having it. She was blushing ever so slightly, but whenever I looked at her, that blush would transform into a sharp glare.

"That plushy used to belong to my daughter. I bought it for her when she was a little girl, but she was so obsessed with her inventions and those web novels she always reads." For so reason, when Noah ntioned web novels, Cecilia’s heartbeat quickened, and she began blushing a lot. I found it suspicious, but I didn’t dwell on it.

"She didn’t even pay the plushy any mind and left it to rot in our storage room. I’m glad soone has found a use for it," Noah said as he noticed how happy Isabella was with the toy.

"Oh my god, there is a monster!" Noah suddenly shouted as he rushed to protect his kids.

His daughter tried to rush towards him and tripped over her own feet and fell. She was clumsy, that’s for sure. Watching her try to get up and ending up falling on her face again and again made realize just how unathletic she was. anwhile her brothers scrambled behind their father.

The monster they were all so afraid of was one of Kumo’s arachnids.

"Are you sure? Look at its eyes. They’re glowing orange."

The arachnid approached , and just as usual, I was forced to pet its head.

"These creatures belong to soone in my pack, a yokai," I explained.

"A yokai?" Noah looked at with interest.

"She is the one that protects my territory, that is why we haven’t encountered any monster since we’ve stepped foot in my territory."

"With these giant spider monsters protecting you, I imagine you don’t have to worry about zombies and other monsters getting in."

"No, I don’t. Safety isn’t really a problem here," I said as I offered a hand to Cecilia, still on the ground. She looked a bit hesitant to take my hand.

"No, it’s fine. I can get up by myself," she said, still struggling. Just then, her younger brother rushed towards her and helped her to her feet.

They all seed wary of , and their father Noah seed worried that I might take offense to it. With how obedient he was acting towards , you’d think I already turned him.

Soon we were back in the village.

"As you can see, the village isn’t in the best of shape."

"It’s fine," Noah said as he looked around. "Your people seem happy. That’s all that matters. They are all looking at you as if you are so sort of god. And as for the state of the village, this looks like sothing I can help with."

"That’s good to hear. Start by building so houses. Not everyone has a ho, so it’s still pretty cramped. I hope to fix this as soon as possible."

"Yes, but I... umm..."

Noah looked as if he had sothing to say, but he was hesitating.

"Feel free to speak your mind. That’s why you’re here. I have no idea what I’m doing when it cos to this sort of stuff, but the only way I’ll learn is by listening to those smarter than ."

"Yes, you’re right, forgive . What I was about to say is that I realize you are rebuilding a wall that looked to be destroyed, yes."

"Yes, we had an incident a month ago, and due to that, the south wall was destroyed."

"I see. But if you plan to build more houses, you’ll have to expand the village a bit more. That ans knocking down the walls. If we build the houses too close to one another, it will lead to all sorts of hazards. And let’s refrain from building houses and walls with wood."

"Stone. Like what they used in the dieval era. It’s much more sturdy and lasts longer than wood. Don’t worry, I have the material and knowledge to build these structures. All we need is manpower."

"Good, ’cause we have that. The werewolves and skinwalkers here can work longer and faster than humans."

Noah smiled.

"Then we’ll get this done in no ti. I’ll need a week or so to co up with the plan for the houses and walls. After that, I reckon it will take just a few months for everything to be ready."

I made the right choice bringing Noah here. He really is a smart man.

"Also, how much do you know about farming?" I asked.

Noah shook his head.

"Not a lot, I’m afraid."

"I um..." Suddenly Noah’s daughter spoke up from behind us.

"Sothing the matter, sweetheart?" Noah asked, looking at his daughter kindly.

"No, it’s just that I took an agricultural course back in university, so I know a bit... not a lot though."

"That’s good. Any bit of knowledge helps," I said.

"I see, so you plan to start farms. That’s a good idea. I was going to ask where we would get food."

We continued to talk about different ideas Noah had as we made our way through the village. Isabella had disappeared off sowhere while we were walking. I brought Noah to my office where I introduced him to Eira.

"This woman here is my secretary. She’ll help you get settled in. If you’re facing problems with the construction, then speak to her. If there is anything I need you to do, then Eira will be the one to speak with you unless I specifically summon you."

"Yes, I understand." Noah nodded.

"We also have a healer, so if there is anything your wife needs, then you can go see the healer."

"Yes, thank you. That ans a lot," Noah bowed, then prompted his children to do the sa.

After that, Eira ushered them off to where they would be staying, but just before they went, she looked as if she had sothing to say.
