Chapter 37: Red Monster! Weakness!

“What’s wrong?”

“Why did you suddenly stop?”

Clearly, the others hadn’t noticed anything.

But Leo had already tensed up unconsciously.

There seed to be Goblins inside the watchtower.

Leo hadn’t expected such a situation.

But just as he turned his head, intending to retreat the way they ca—

he saw that the other group, who had split off from them earlier, were now running back in panic.

“Damn it! The outer area of the stables is full of Goblins!”

Leo checked his mark—the marked position was now at the stables.

His judgnt had been correct.

The direction of the stables was very likely their gathering point.

Just as these Knight’s Squires were at a complete loss, a faint vibration approached.

Leo’s pupils instantly shrank to pinpoints.

He looked toward the direction the other group had co from.

The gravel on the ground trembled continuously. A second later, the ground suddenly split open.

A red figure burst out from underground, standing at the entrance of the passage and blocking everyone’s path.

The sa inverted triangular head, knotted muscles, and a body taller than ordinary Goblins.

A Goblin—but this one’s skin was a dangerous crimson red.

“Shha!”

The red Goblin opened its mouth full of sharp teeth, letting out a low hiss.

Clearly, these Knight’s Squires were seeing a red Goblin for the first ti.

Only Leo frowned tightly. His Hunter instincts told him—this creature was not simple.

This red Goblin had followed the other group here.

Facing more than a dozen people, it still dared to pursue alone.

It felt like an assassin.

This red Goblin was absolutely not ordinary.

At this mont, dozens of Knight’s Squires were trapped in the passage—flanked by tall stone walls on both sides, with the watchtower behind them.

But just as Leo was making his judgnt—

a chorus of battle cries erupted around him.

Having already repelled a group of Goblins earlier, these Squires no longer felt fear toward this one.

“Charge! For glory!” Behind Leo, Fidis shouted and rushed forward without hesitation, dragging his large blade.

Several other Knight’s Squires followed, charging as well.

They had all killed Goblins before.

Now, under the surge of adrenaline, each of these youths was exceptionally fierce.

“Be careful!” Leo had been watching the Goblin the entire ti.

For it to appear here alone—there was clearly sothing wrong.

Before Leo could think further, a collision sound suddenly rang out.

The large blade in Fidis’s hands and two Iron Swords flew before Leo, stabbing into the ground.

anwhile, those Squires were sent flying into the air.

In just the blink of an eye, the red Goblin had already smashed through them.

This creature was like a rhinoceros, intent on crushing everyone in its path.

And now, the one standing before it—was Leo.

“So fast!”

Leo felt a fierce gust rushing through the passage, carrying with it rot and the stench of blood.

There was almost no ti to react.

Power of Dark Tide! Horizontal Slash!

Instinctively, Leo drew an Iron Sword from the ground and slashed, aiming directly at the red Goblin’s neck.

But the Goblin reacted just as quickly, raising its claw to block.

Clang!

Its hardened claw struck against the unsharpened blade.

The force within the Iron Sword erupted like a dark tide.

With a loud clang—

both Leo and the red Goblin were knocked back.

The broken sword bounced to the ground, while both Leo and the Goblin steadied themselves.

Leo shook his numb arm. The Iron Sword in his hand was now only half its original length.

The thick blade had been shattered by the Goblin’s claw.

This red Goblin—whether in strength, speed, or bodily toughness—far surpassed the green ones.

The gap was so large it didn’t even seem like the sa species.

Seeing this scene, the Knight’s Squires felt sothing was terribly wrong.

The atmosphere instantly froze.

Several Squires at the back had already begun retreating, preparing to flee.

“Raaaah!”

At that mont, the red Goblin’s expression changed. It let out a low, almost mocking growl.

Its triangular eyes glead with ferocity, locking onto Leo.

That gaze—

was like finding the lion king within a pride.

Leo focused, drawing the Starfall sword from his back.

This opponent was not easy to deal with.

He assud the Guarding Sword Stance, while rapidly thinking of a strategy.

Since it was a Goblin, it must have weaknesses.

He glanced at his panel.

This one should still be a Goblin.

Even if it were an elite Goblin, its innate weaknesses should not completely disappear.

In the next mont, Leo angled his sword toward the wall and charged forward.

Sparks burst as the blade scraped against the brick wall, producing a piercing screech.

Stimulated by the noise, the Goblin let out a frenzied scream.

But Leo had already closed in, slashing down with a single strike.

Clang!

The Goblin blocked again with its claw, sparks flying.

However, this ti Leo wielded the Starfall sword—its lethality was clearly on another level.

The Goblin glanced at its claw in disbelief, then instinctively retreated several ters.

【Weaknesses: Fear of strong light, high-frequency noise, fragile cervical spine, enlarged liver, flat feet unsuitable for long-distance running】

So high-frequency noise was effective.

Strong light…

Noise…

Cervical spine…

Liver…

Flat feet.

Leo’s eyes flicked upward—the Goblin had already been forced out of the passage.

“Good!”

Leo roared, surging forward with overwhelming montum, launching a life-and-death charge at the Goblin!

anwhile, all the Knight’s Squires remained huddled inside the passage, like frightened quails, unsure of what to do.

“G-go…”

At this mont, Leo looked like a lone, fearless hero charging toward the terrifying red monster.

But right before everyone’s eyes—

just as Leo exited the passage, his body suddenly twisted, and he sprinted wildly to one side.

“What?!”

“He ran away?!”

Everyone’s emotions plumted like a roller coaster.

But suddenly—

their expressions changed again.

“What do you an ran away?! Damn it! Leo is drawing the monster away for us!” Arthur roared.

Because at that very mont, the Goblin had already turned and chased after Leo.

They were safe.

……

On the other side, Leo sprinted at full speed.

With his enhanced attributes, his speed had already surpassed that of sprinters from his previous life.

Behind him, the red Goblin chased relentlessly.

At first, its speed was extrely fast—even surpassing Leo. The strength and speed of Beastkin far exceeded that of humans.

But gradually—

it began to fall behind.

Its flat feet were not suited for long-distance pursuit.

Its steps started to falter.

And at that very mont—

without warning—

Leo leaped forward, suddenly turned, lowered his center of gravity, and thrust his sword toward the Goblin’s ribs.

The gleaming blade was like a venomous snake—its swift, practiced thrust impossible to block in ti.

Puchi!
