Chapter 91: Black God’s Curse! Strong Bow and White Steed!
Leo confird it once more at this mont.
“Divine Sacrifice thod! This is an entirely new category. Gods? Could it be that this world truly has gods… Curse of the Black God Saga…” Seeing these words, Leo’s brows slightly furrowed.
“Curse.” The na didn’t sound very auspicious.
Having once died from a freak disaster, Leo was sotis a bit sensitive toward these mysterious things.
Leo looked again.
Another line of golden annotation surfaced on the panel.
【Exchange the six desires—sight, hearing, sll, taste, touch, and emotion—for powerful strength and potential】
“This…” Leo stared at the text, suddenly stunned.
After finally getting a golden entry, and such an overpowered Divine Sacrifice thod at that—
he hadn’t expected it to be sothing like this…
Leo was speechless. ‘Why does this feel like that forbidden manual vibe.’
He didn’t want to be incomplete, to beco a cripple.
“Six desires—sight, hearing, sll, taste, touch, emotion—none of them can be missing.” Leo glanced at the Gnoll in the cage licking crumbs off the ground. “No wonder that Zoro always seed so deranged. Turns out he’s fallen into a demonic cult.”
Leo’s mind was racing, but his body didn’t stop. He had already cleaned up the scene and was preparing to leave the dungeon.
It seed his first golden entry could only serve as decoration.
Leo felt a bit regretful, but at that mont, his brain—with its Spirit Attribute as high as 1.6—suddenly flashed with inspiration.
It was as if he had thought of sothing.
“Hunting Mont!”
Leo quickly looked at the panel.
Level 1 Hunting Mont effect:
【Can block out other senses to enhance vision. Duration and cooldown are related to Spirit Attribute.】
Level 2 Hunting Mont effect:
【Can block out other senses to enhance hearing. Duration and cooldown are related to Spirit Attribute.】
“Then will the blocking effect of Hunting Mont interact with this Divine Sacrifice thod?”
Leo pondered, but he didn’t intend to test it for now.
The war outside between Humans and Beastkin was in full swing. If sothing went wrong during experintation and he suffered side effects, he might not even know how he died.
Moreover, at this mont, Leo still felt sothing in his mind constantly moving.
【Tracking (White) Level 1 3/100 (Agility 0.1, able to grasp the marked target’s location, number of marks: 1)】
This was the mark Leo had set on that fleeing Common Goblin last ti.
Leo had tried—once the panel’s mark was set, it seed impossible to cancel.
So this mark had been wasted on that ordinary Goblin all this ti.
But now, Leo felt that the guy seed to be constantly moving toward his direction.
No, to be precise, it wasn’t toward him.
“But toward that side.” Leo looked at the position of the mark in his mind.
“That seems to be the direction of the stables.” Leo frowned. “Why the stables again?”
After handling everything in the dungeon, Leo slung his bow, hung his sword at his waist, mounted his Dragon-Elephant, and sped toward the marked location in his mind.
……
On the other side, near the castle stables, Tita had gone to several locations in succession but still couldn’t find Zoro.
“Where exactly did that guy go?”
Finding nothing, she quickly headed toward the stables.
That loud noise earlier had co from there.
But at a position over a hundred ters from the stables, her nose twitched, and she suddenly stopped.
The scene in the distance stunned her.
The area where the stables had been was now completely covered by a dense fog.
Within the fog, faintly visible, were bodies lying on the ground.
Tita’s pupils shrank instantly. She reacted at once. “Not good, that’s poison!”
She activated her Breathing Technique, her steps quick as she retreated dozens of ters in succession.
At this mont, she saw that the stables were entirely engulfed in poisonous fog.
Not only that, seemingly because they had heard her movent—
within the poison fog, a group of red-skinned small creatures bared their fangs and claws as they rushed toward her.
“Blood Goblins!”
Tita instantly entered combat state. Her breathing sank, and gray aura flowed in and out of her mouth.
At the sa ti, the two short swords at her waist were swiftly drawn.
Swoosh!
With two light flashes of sword gleam,
the necks of two red Goblins in front of her spurted large amounts of blood, collapsing to the ground.
Her Breathing Technique had already reached level ninety-one, and her dual swordsmanship was honed to perfection.
Dealing with these Blood Goblins was no problem.
But the issue was—
within the poison fog, the number of these Goblins was increasing at a rate she hadn’t expected.
Tita fought while retreating. Though she had already killed more than a dozen,
the speed at which she killed them couldn’t keep up with their growth.
In just a few seconds, the number of Blood Goblins had surged to a terrifying hundred.
At this mont, Tita was being flanked from the sides by a swarm of Blood Goblins, on the verge of being surrounded.
“How are there so many? Damn it!” Tita gritted her teeth.
All the Quasi-Knights in the castle had gone to the outer city. There was basically no other combat power left inside.
With so many Goblins, she couldn’t possibly kill them all alone.
She was already entangled.
Once surrounded by these creatures, isolated and without support, her chances were grim.
But at that critical mont—
she suddenly heard an intense sound of galloping hooves from behind.
Thud-thud-thud-thud!
The hoofbeats were like war drums, stirring the spirit.
Turning back, she saw a man in light armor, carrying a bow and sword, riding a massive white horse, charging forward at full speed.
“Leo!” A trace of joy flashed across Tita’s face.
“Hold the front line.” Leo took the Beast Bone Longbow from his back and had already nocked an arrow.
“Huh?” Tita hadn’t even reacted before she heard the twang of the bowstring behind her.
“You can’t kill them with arrows!” Tita shouted. She knew how tough the skin of these Blood Goblins was.
Not to ntion arrows—even with a sword, one had to exert full force to sever the neck to kill them.
But the next mont—
Whoosh!
An arrow pierced straight into the chest of a Blood Goblin in front.
The Goblin collapsed to the ground with the arrow embedded in its chest.
In less than two seconds, it turned into a pool of blood.
What Tita didn’t know was that Leo’s familiarity with Goblins far exceeded hers.
From his butchering experience, as long as he aid about ten centiters to the left of the center of the chest,
there was an area the size of a jujube.
That was where their Blood Core was located, right between two ribs—hit it, and it was certain death.
Just as Tita processed this—
another arrow flew, and a Goblin several ters away fell instantly.
“You’re having it easy!” Tita gritted her teeth as she cut down a Blood Goblin in front of her.
This Leo, tall and large, riding such a massive horse, was actually staying in the backline acting as an archer.
But that was only Tita’s perception.
At this mont, Leo rode atop the giant horse, holding a superior vantage point, while skillfully maneuvering it to find angles.
Each arrow precisely killed a Goblin.
For Leo, after hacking at Zoro earlier, his stamina had been heavily consud and hadn’t fully recovered yet.
These Goblins now were sothing he could handle with just a flick of his fingers—no need to engage in close combat.
With Leo’s addition, the pressure on Tita instantly eased.
A smile curled at her lips.
Leo was far more reliable than she had imagined.
As Leo’s two quivers rapidly emptied, and Tita was drenched in blood from her kills,
one fighting at range, the other up close, the two of them quickly reduced over a hundred Goblins to only a few remaining.
At this mont, Tita took two steps forward toward the last Goblin not far away.
But Leo seized the opportunity first—one arrow ended its life.
“Excellent archery. Truly worthy of the Newcor King.” Tita panted, looking at Leo, who sat on his horse with a relaxed expression.
“Thanks to you holding the front line.” Leo sincerely expressed his gratitude.
Though he could now reliably kill Blood Goblins with a sword,
there were simply too many of them.
If he rushed in for close combat, he might get injured.
And Tita’s Breathing Technique level was slightly higher than his.
Thanks to her, his 【Hunting】 skill had effortlessly leveled up again.
【Hunting (White) Level 4 12/100 (Insight into prey weaknesses, obtain information on hunted species) (Special Effect: Hunting Mont Level 3)】
With Hunting upgraded, Hunting Mont had also beco Level 3.
He didn’t pay it much attention for now.
Leo’s focus was entirely on the dense fog.
“That’s poisonous fog. If I’m not mistaken, there should be another Level 4 monster there—the Underground Lord.”
“Underground Lord.”
