Chapter 95: Elf Bloodline! Victor!

Leo had seen records about the Elf race in that book 《Kingdom Travel Notes》.

Legend had it that in this world, there existed two major Elf clans.

One of them dwelled deep within the forests of the Elf Valley, isolated from the world and extrely rare—known as the ancient Dark Night Elves.

The Dark Night Elf clan rarely appeared before others, mysterious and powerful.

Rumor had it that they had so close connection with the Moon God race.

It seed that Ross and Ray had gone to the Elf Valley this ti.

According to the book, these Dark Night Elves were a proud and cold race.

In their eyes, all other races were inferior.

They rejected contact with the outside world and would never intermarry with other races.

Thus, they remained deep within the forest, guarding the great Ancient Moon Spring, preserving the purest Elf bloodline.

The other type—

was what Leo saw now: the Nature Elf clan that had branched out from the Elf Valley.

Nature Elves were passionate and free-spirited. They intermingled with other races and even intermarried.

Due to their impure bloodline, so of them exhibited traits like tails or fur.

Thus, they had been exiled from the Elf Valley by the Dark Night Elves, and so had settled within the Danlun Kingdom.

Over hundreds of years, they had adapted to human society and, relying on their unique natural abilities, held an important position within the kingdom.

Clearly, the beautiful girl before him was one of the Nature Elves.

Leo hadn’t expected that an Elf would co out to conduct trade.

At this mont, the Elf girl stood on the carriage and smiled at the crowd below, instantly drawing excited cries from dozens of n at the stall.

The Elf girl stepped forward and spoke in a sweet voice, “Everyone, anyone who spends one hundred silver coins at my stall today will receive an Elf’s kiss~”

As she spoke, her pointed ears trembled slightly, and the faint scent of vegetation from her body made the n in front of the stall utterly intoxicated.

However, the price she set wasn’t low—one hundred silver coins for a kiss from an Elf girl.

Ordinary people simply couldn’t afford it.

So these n could only feast their eyes from afar. A few who harbored improper thoughts glanced at the statue-like Golden Knight not far away and could only restrain themselves.

“Tch! Flaunting herself.” On the other side, Granny Gu shot a glance at the Elf girl and slamd a weight onto the scale. “Back in my day, I was the most beautiful girl in ten villages. Just a blink of my eyes could make n faint, hmph.”

“Granny Gu, looks like you’ve got a new competitor.” Tita spoke familiarly—clearly a regular custor.

“Heh, competitor? What does that little vixen have to compete with ? This old lady relies on this.” Granny Gu pointed at the Level 3 Satyr at in front of her. “Those herbs are just for display. Little Tita, take it. Three jin is more than enough.”

“Thank you, Granny Gu.” Tita packed up the Beastkin jerky, turned around, and saw Leo watching the commotion at the Elf stall. She chuckled. “Knight Leo, what, are you also interested in dicinal herbs?”

Leo knew she was teasing him. “No, I’ve just never seen an Elf before.”

“Is that so? Then you should take a few more looks.” Tita understood very well—n were naturally drawn to beauty.

Just as she was about to leave, a man’s voice ca from outside the crowd at the neighboring stall.

“Beautiful lady, may I ask your na?”

A Quasi-Knight wearing golden-threaded armor rode over from a distance.

Leo recognized him at a glance.

“Victor.”

Victor rode through the crowd, then swung one leg over and dismounted gracefully from his white horse.

“Honored knight, you may call Lilis.” The Elf girl placed a hand over her chest and bowed slightly, giving Victor a courteous greeting.

“Miss Lilis, may I ask—if one hundred silver coins buys one kiss, then what about five hundred?”

Five hundred silver coins!

The surrounding n fell silent. They could tell this white-horse knight was no ordinary person—but they hadn’t expected him to be this extraordinary.

Only a few Knight’s Squires recognized Victor—he was the most famous wealthy man among the Quasi-Knights.

Lilis showed no change in expression. “If it’s five hundred silver coins, I will give you an extra kiss, my lord.”

“Hahaha, good. Dota, pay.” Victor casually instructed his servant.

“Young master, which ones?” the short, chubby servant asked seriously.

“I’ll leave it entirely to Miss Lilis.” Victor didn’t even look, casually tossing the money pouch handed to him onto the stall.

Victor spent lavishly, just for a beauty’s smile.

But in truth, he wasn’t here for the herbs—he was here to support the Elf trade.

Because his father, the Count of Yaoshan, frequently dealt with the Elves, he had co specifically to build good relations with them.

At this mont, Victor’s servant packaged several of the most expensive herbs.

Victor politely leaned forward, while Lilis lightly stepped down from the carriage, her bare feet swaying.

She gently kissed the back of Victor’s hand.

Victor then helped her back onto the carriage.

Elves were not a frivolous race—and he himself was not a man driven by lust.

As the future heir to the Count of Yaoshan, he had to maintain an elegant deanor.

Everything was for business.

The crowd grew denser, and the scene made the surrounding n blush and their hearts race, all filled with envy.

Money truly was power.

“Showy little Victor.” Tita casually comnted and prepared to leave.

Leo also stopped watching this social performance between nobles and Elves.

He quickly began selecting the items he wanted to buy.

Seeing her regular custor Leo, Granny Gu let out a cackling laugh. “Little Leo, the sll of money on you is getting stronger each ti. Not bad, not bad.”

“You flatter , Granny Gu. Just getting by.” Leo replied casually.

He felt that this old lady might have so strange ability to sense wealth on people.

After selecting Beastkin at, Leo began choosing herbs. He handed over a list. “Granny Gu, could you check if you have these materials?”

Previously, Leo had relied on small gains and freebies.

But this ti, he intended to properly spend money on herbs.

Now that he had unlocked the Alchemist profession, he planned to systematically start Alchemy. The small amount of gifted materials was no longer sufficient.

So this ti, he planned to purchase a batch of herbs to craft commonly used potions and observe how different potions contributed to experience growth.

Ultimately, Leo now had money—he had confidence.

Compared to Beastkin at, most common herbs were not expensive.

Granny Gu mainly sold them as supplentary materials for potion-making with Beastkin at.

Now, as a small wealthy man carrying a pile of gold coins, Leo didn’t want to haggle over a few dozen copper coins anymore.

For perhaps the first ti in his life, Leo felt a sense of financial boldness.

But just as he was thinking this, he suddenly sensed sothing move at his side—

followed by a gentle, elegant fragrance, like being imrsed in a sea of flowers.

His eyes shifted.

Then he saw a nimble figure circle to his side, a pair of small white hands lightly resting on his shoulders.

Leo instinctively activated his Breathing Technique, about to draw his sword in defense—but he suppressed the reflex.

Dozens of ters away stood the Golden Knight Order. Making a move here would be suicidal.

Moreover, he realized that the one who approached—

was that Elf girl, Lilis.

The girl sniffed delicately, like a curious kitten, as if searching for sothing on him.

“Don’t be nervous, little brother. What herbs are you looking to buy?” Lilis stared straight at Leo.

In just the blink of an eye, she had moved to within less than a palm’s distance from his armpit.

Judging from her speed just now, Leo estimated that if they fought, his sword might not even be able to touch her.

Before Leo could respond, Granny Gu couldn’t hold back and started scolding.

“Hey! Hey! You little vixen, that’s going too far!” Granny Gu angrily struck her pipe three tis against the cart.

Lilis glanced at Granny Gu, then smiled. “Old lady, you haven’t even lived half as long as I have. Do you understand what respect for seniority ans?”
